A Quarrel That Can't Be Avoided

Robert and Siska, who have yet to figure out the purpose of the dinner invitation at Agam and Nina's house, are delighted to think Chelsea will discuss the issue of marriage.

Revan himself did not come on the grounds that work has not been able to return to Jakarta, there is only Reno who participated tonight even though Papa Robert did not really consider his presence important.

“Papa and Mama can't wait for the good news from you, Sea,” said Mama Siska stroked the hair of the future daughter-in-law sitting next to her.

“But Revan told Mama and Papa that he still has to take care of work in Medan and can only return tomorrow afternoon.”

“Pa..” Mama Siska looks at her husband's face with a confused and anxious face.

“Then what's your reason for breaking off your engagement ? Are any of you getting bored and liking others ?” papa Robert asked with a glance even had a glance at Reno.

Chelsea believe Revan has spoken to Papa Robert:

”Papa is a bit disappointed with you Sea for still harboring the same feelings Reno but receiving love and proposal Revan.”

“But really my decision has nothing to do with Reno, Pa, Ma,” protests Chelsea are starting to feel annoyed.

“The reality is that Reno often comes to your office when working hours are over, right ? Papa knows that Reno kept trying to influence you not to marry Revan until you had a fight in your office a few days ago. Right, Sea ?”

Chelsea was shocked to hear Papa Robert. How could the problem of his quarrel with Reno that occurred in a closed room get to Papa Robert ?

“I did ask Sea to stall Kak Revan's request to get married soon but did not force Sea to accept me back, Pa. Besides, I have a good reason to ask Sea to postpone his marriage to Kak Revan.”

“Not to interfere ! Papa asked Sea not to you. Don't remember that you embarrassed your family 4 years ago ? And now you want to seize your own sister's future wife !” firmly Papa Robert while glaring at Reno.

“I know that my actions on Sea have disappointed Papa but there is no intention to take Sea from Kak Revan. What I did to Sea just because I didn't want Sea to be hurt by anyone let alone by my own brother.”

“Not aware that you're the one who hurt Chelsea ? What do you know to dare say that your brother will hurt the woman he loves.? Papa knows that you have been envious of your brother for a long time and can make Papa and Mama always proud of him. You always thought we were unfair and kind to you. You know why Reno ?” Papa Robert pointed at Reno's shoulder with his index finger.

“Because until this second your life is full of problems, a fool on the family and can only embarrass the family ! Even your brother dampened his love for Chelsea by caring for you !”

“Papa could say that because Papa never wanted to find out what Kak Revan was like outside,” Reno's voice rose while moving from his chair, facing Papa Robert.

Mami Nina beckons Papi Agam to separate father and son.

“What else do you want to show now ? Not satisfied with what you did that thwarted your brother's marriage and destroyed his love?” papa Robert's clash made Reno's emotions begin to rise to the crown.

“It wasn't me who foiled his relationship with Sea, but Brother Revan himself. Brother Revan has betrayed Sea's trust by cheating behind him.”

Papa Robert's hand immediately floated slapping Reno's cheek making Mama Siska squeal while covering her mouth and the others could only widen her eyes

Papi Agam moved the father and son away and Chelsea got up from the couch.

“Then what do you do to your sister's future wife is not cheating ? You hugged and kissed Chelsea, persuaded her to comply with your request to postpone her marriage and you thought Papa didn't know that you were trying to seduce Chelsea in his study ?”

“Where does Papa know all that?” ask Chelsea who is approaching.

“Did Papa put a spy to watch over me or Revan put people in the office to watch over me ?” Chelsea's eyes narrowed while looking at Papa Robert.

“You don't need to know about that,” Papa Robert said with a little snapping.

Papi Agam knitted his brows, his heart starting to get annoyed with the attitude of his best friend.

“What Reno said is not nonsense and Sea has proven it with his own eyes. Sea actually met Kak Revan in Jakarta 2 days ago.”

Papa Robert breathed an emotional sigh and cast his gaze in the other direction, reluctant to return Chelsea's gaze.

“Do you not think that this is all planned by Reno ? Didn't you learn from the experience 4 years ago, Sea ? You want to be lied to and fooled again by Reno?”

“This time Sea believes in Reno,” firmly Chelsea sure without the slightest hesitation.

”Stop being a naive and plain pretentious girl, Sea !” papa Robert's snapping made Papi Agam immediately turn his back.

“Sea is not naive but Sea does not want to be made a pawn by Kak Revan only to get the treasure and throne that Papa promised if Kak Revan married Sea.”

“Who said so ?” papa Robert's voice rose and he had a glance at Reno.

“Quite Robert !” hardik Papi Agam's. “Quite have you debated the matter of your two children in my house. Go home and solve your own problems.”

“I'm just trying to open Chelsea's mind, Gam. I don't want Sea to be blinded again by his feelings for Reno even if he's my biological son.”

“‘The Chelsea problem is my business and Nina's as her parents. His decision to end the engagement with Revan I fully support and no longer force your desire to impress me at the expense of the children,” Papi Agam said with an indisputable face.

Papa Robert breathed heavily with an annoyed face, gesturing for Mama Siska to go home.

“One more thing Robert, do not ever supervise my son's personal life because the new Sea son-in-law has not officially become your daughter-in-law. If until I find out there is a spy in the office to watch over Sea either on your orders or Revan, I not only make that person regret but our relationship as friends also ends.”

“Agam..”

“As my instinct father said that Revan is no better than Reno. Educate your children well before betrothing them to the daughters of men. And don't ever make my son a pawn to realize your wishes let alone the bad intentions of your son !”

Papa Robert looked at the face of his best friend with a feeling of annoyance because during knowing Agam, Robert rarely saw his best friend angry like this.

Finally, without saying much, Robert invited Siska to leave the house of Agam and Nina.

Reno who was still standing near Chelsea was asked to go home by Agam. Too complicated the affairs of his best friend's family, it would be better if there was not one daughter who became the son-in-law of Robert and Siska.
