“From anywhere, Non? Why did the clock come home this early?” Bi Ita came to him.
“From home Nayla, Bi.” The answer, then give the motor key to bi Ita.
“Big master is home.” Bi Ita told me that dad was home.
“But, I didn't see dad's car in the garage?” tanyakanya.
“Master told Pak Karyo to buy something, Non.” he replied. Mr. Karyo is the husband of bi Ita, they live in the pavilion behind Cleo's house.
"I don't think I should have seen Dad's car" he said. “Then, where's dad?”
“In the workspace, Non.” replied Bi Ita.
“Alright, I take a shower first.” Cleo immediately walked into the room.
“TOK TOK TOK.”
“Log.” Voice commands from within.
“Yeah, let's eat!” He saw Adam sitting at his desk.
“You go first, I still have a lot of work.” Adam refocused on the documents in front of him.
“But Yeah ..!?” Adam raised his hand to tell him to stop. Cleo went straight out knowing Adam didn't want to be bothered.
“Where is the big master, Non?” bi Ita asked as soon as she saw him coming down the stairs.
“I eat alone, Bi.” He replied, Cleo scooped the rice onto the plate, she knew at this moment Bi Ita was looking at her with great pity. It was common for him to eat alone, Adam was always busy with his work. Cleo did not know why her father was acting that way to her, she often felt like an unwanted child.
“Non, this was a package for miss.” Bi Ita handed over the package she received this afternoon. Cleo saw the package being shipped from overseas.
“Tante Manda!!” Cleo immediately smiled, knowing who sent the package. Cleo immediately opened the pink-colored package.
“Wah, winnie ...!?” He was very happy because Aunt Manda sent the latest Winne The Pooh clothes from disney. She does love everything that Winnie The Pooh smells of and Aunt Manda knows it very well.
Aunt Manda is Adam's only sister. He has lived and worked in London for a long time. He is married and has one son who is two years older than Cleo.
“I have to contact aunt.” Cleo immediately ran to the room to pick up the cell phone she had placed on the bed. It didn't take long for him to call Aunt Manda.
“Halo, Babe!” aunty Manda's voice came from across the phone.
“Tante, thanks! Cleo is very happy.” Cleo was sure Aunt Manda could hear happiness from her tone.
“Yes, auntie is also happy that you are this happy. How are you, Darling?” ask Manda.
“I'm good. Aunt how?” askalanya.
“Alhamdulillah, good aunt. How's your dad?” tanyakanya. He was silent for a moment and that was already the answer to Manda.
“You have another problem with Dad?” guess it.
“No, Tan.” Her speech.
“Continue, why sad?” Aunt Manda could have guessed that Cleo was really sad right now.
“Cleo is just sad, Dad is still busy with his work. There's no time for me. Tan, I'm actually a father's son, right?” his gerrick.
“Hus, you said what?” aunt Manda stopped him.
“Abis Daddy always just like that. Always busy with his work.” Cleo was back.
“Honey, don't overthinking, it's possible that your father is busy.” Aunt Manda tried to calm Cleo down.
“Business every day. Until there is no time for his own son.” He still vented his frustration on Aunt Manda.
“Don't nag, later you get old.” Candanya.
“Ih, Auntie what the hell!” Cleo protested like that.
“Honey, we'll connect later. Aunt has a job.” He said, Cleo almost forgot that currently Aunt Manda must be busy.
“Ok.” He closed that long-distance connection.
“Bi, I'm done.” He said to Bi Ita who had been standing next to him ever since.
“Why eat so little?” ask the middle-aged woman.
“Udah full, Bi. I'm the room first yes!” after saying so he immediately left Bi Ita who was cleaning the dishes at the dining table.
“Where is Cleo?” ask Adam who just came out of his study.
“Nona just climbed into her room, Mr.” Bi Ita. Adam immediately sat down on the dining chair. And, Bi Ita rushed towards Adam's room.
“This is the cure, Mr.” Bi Ita gave some bottles of medicine. Adam received it and opened one of the bottles, then drank it.
“What happened today with him?” ask Adam. Bi Ita tells about Cleo's meeting with Nayla and also about the shipment from Manda.
“Good, Manda still keeps paying attention to him.” Adam Say.
“But sir, all Miss needs is you. He's very lonely. He needs attention from you.” Bi Ita started to remind Adam.
“Leave it! He must get used to living alone.” Adam continued eating. Bi Ita looked at him with great pity. He knew why Adam was being so harsh and cold to his daughter.
Deep in his heart, Adam loved Cleo.
“Have you prepared my needs?” tanyakanya.
“Already, Sir. I've asked Karyo mas to put it in the car.” After hearing Bi Ita's reply, Adam immediately headed for his room.
🌸🌸🌸
“Come, Non, breakfast is finished.” Bi Ita reminded her to continue eating.
“Which father, Bi?” I asked, because I haven't seen Adam since.
“Master hasn't come down, Non.” Bi Ita replied while pouring milk for her. Cleo took a quick look at the stairs but had not yet seen Adam.
“I'm full, Bi.” he said.
“Why is half the bread, Non?” Bi Ita komplen for not spending her breakfast.
“I'm full, Bi.” The answer.
“Yes already, then finish the milk. Let there be energy, later miss can be sick if breakfast is a little so.” Bi Ita was like a mother to her, only Bi Ita was always attentive to her. Cleo immediately gulped down the chocolate milk. Then say goodbye to Bi Ita.
“Dad, where are you going?” cleo asked as he watched Adam climb down the stairs with his briefcase.
“Dad there work outside the city.” The answer.
“Again?” tanyakanya.
“You are well at home, Don't wander.” Adam told me before he left.
“Yeah, I'm leaving with dad ya.” Her request.
“Dad hurry, you take a taxi only.” Adam refused and immediately walked to his car. Cleo stared at his departure in anger.
“Already, Non, Sir must be busy.” Bi Ita tried to win it over.
“I'm leaving, Bi.” Cleo immediately headed to the garage to pick up the motor.
"Non, where are you going?" ask bi Ita because he saw her walking towards the garage.
"Take motor!" his yell.
"But Non, sir forbid miss to ride a motorcycle. Wasn't she told to take a taxi? Later if you know, you can be angry" said Bi Ita who was standing next to him.
"Whatever cares about this" he said. Cleo turned on her favorite motorcycle engine, and did not wait for long she immediately took it out of the garage, leaving Bi Ita still standing there.
Actually Adam did not agree if he went everywhere using the motor, but Cleo always insisted. Cleo does not like to use cars because it is complicated and often stuck in traffic on the streets of the capital.
“Dad always was like that. I'm actually not his son?” Cleo was still nagging along the way. Not focusing on the bike he drives.
“TINNNN!!”
“Cittt!!!” as fast as lightning he pressed the motor brake. As a result of his daydream, he had to fall from the bike he was riding. Cleo tried to stand up, her knees were painful, as well as her palms. For the first time street asphalt has given its mark on its white skin.
“You okay?” suddenly a bule man helped lift his motorbike lying on the road.
“I'm fine.” he replied while checking the wounds on his legs and elbows.
“Let me see your wound.” he said.
“No need!” Cleo refused the man's help, with a limp she tried to get on the bike. The man was still standing beside her.
“Be careful! Do not daydream while riding a motorcycle, it not only endangers your life, but also others.” His message.
“I know!” Cleo revived her bike and left the man who helped her earlier.
“I'm like I've seen it.” Cleo looked at him through the rearview mirror, the bule man was still standing at the same spot and was staring at him.
“Basic teens today, have been helped instead of saying thank you instead of just leaving.” the man spoke quite loudly. That man was none other than Andreas Casanno. After that, Andreas immediately headed to his car and took the black sedan car leaving the scene.
Cleo had heard his words, but she did not care. "What care am I? Anyhow he's a stranger he could've stolen the opportunity to do me harm." Cleo looked back, but there was no sign of the man's nose.
“Mampus, I'm late!” Cleo spurred her bike to not be late.
