The confused 16

If there is a couple award full of lies, then Mom and Dad must be the main champions. At home they are like strangers, but once in the crowd they will turn into loving romantic partners. Anyone would be envious to see the affection of Father and Mother. But, they will return like enemies once they return home. As if no longer appreciating and needing each other, they will make the slightest thing as an excuse to fight.

Two events shook my heart at the same time.

One incident I was faced with the situation of my family is getting messy. Mother and Father quarrels have been happening more and more lately. Even though I tried to break up, they still fought. Even Mom pushed me until I accidentally stepped on the broken urn that Dad threw, to vent his emotions.

One more incident I was faced with the attitude of Faro who suddenly kissed me.

I was surprised to receive her kiss, but I couldn't resist. I want her to be near me. If I can no longer afford to be the reason Father and Mother are together, then I want Faro to be the reason for me to survive this time. Let me be selfish this time.

After a big fight that afternoon, neither Mom nor Dad came home that night. I was only accompanied by Bi Iyah, and Sister Susan whom I had deliberately slept with in my room.

"Bi.?"

"Yes,Neng. Need anything?" Ask Bi Iyah. We've been lying in each other's beds. I was in my bed while Bi Iyah and Ma'am Susan brought a folding mattress, and slept under my bed exactly.

"Neng Kara wants to eat? I haven't eaten since. If you want to make it up to Bi Iyah." Bi Iyah got up from her bed, approaching me who was still lying on the bed.

"No,Bi. Kara's not laper."

"His legs still hurt." Bi Iyah is now sitting on the edge of my bed. Gently stroking my feet.

"It hurts, a little."

"You compressed ice cubes." Tawar Bi Iyah's.

"No need to."

Silence no one spoke. Susan was asleep earlier.

"Bi, aren't you coming home?"

"Yet,Non."

"Last noon Kara heard me talking about my wife. Whose wife is Bi? Do you have two wives?"

"Auntie doesn't know about that, Don."

"Can't Bi Iyah not know, instead of working at home Mother of my little one?"

"Yes,Non. Iyah doesn't know about that." I sighed, it was possible that Bi Iyah did not want to tell me anything. But Dad said that afternoon was very disturbing my mind.

"It's night. Non Kara has to sleep. School tomorrow, right?"

"Yes,Bi. Thanks huh?" Bi iyah nodded, raised my blanket to the chest and returned to her bed, next to Sister Susan.

Although I did not get the answer I wanted from Bi Iyah, I had to find my own. There's no way Dad would say that for no apparent reason.

The next morning, even though my feet still hurt from the broken glass I accidentally stepped on, I still went to school.

"Neng Kara wants Parman to take her to class?" Mr. Parman offered to help, because I still had trouble walking.

"No need sir. Please open the door." Parman quickly opened the car door.

I slowly walked, although it still hurt as soon as I stepped, but not as bad as yesterday. A few steps later, I saw Jupiter walking towards me. If I hadn't been hurt, I might have run away from it.

"Lo why?" Jupiter asked, her eyes probing, watching my every step of the way.

"Keseleo." My answer.

"Gue anther to class." Jupiter took my hand, but I hurriedly brushed.

"No, I can walk."

"Why the hell, I just want to help."

"Yes, I know. But I can walk alone."

"Youngpam,!" Nadira exclaimed, he just happened to come and came straight to me.

"Why is the road limping?" Nadira asked, bowing her head watching my feet.

"Keseleo." My answer.

"Can I?" I just shrugged my shoulders, though,

"Can we walk?" Now Nadira flanked next to my arm,

"I helped you through class." I followed Nadira's steps.

"Where is hp lo?" Jupiter blocked my steps and her hands looked up right in front of me and Nadira.

"Hp what?"

"Lo's still blocking my number, right?"

"Oh that's_" I hung up my sentence, glancing at Jupiter's face.

"Later unblock it."

"Seriously! I'll unblock it. Now you're going to class."

"When it's lunchtime, my number's still on the block. Don't mistake me, if I'm gonna come to your class."

I let out a rude sigh, Jupiter has always used threats to fulfill her wishes and there is no other choice for me but to nod, agreeing with her wishes.

"Ko could sprain anyway, Kar." Nadira asked again, after having me up to sit in the classroom.

"Hurry down the stairs, finally sprained." I lie.

There's no way I'm telling Nadira the truth, even though we're very close and good friends, but for such a personal thing I don't want everyone to know.

"Well on medicine?"

"Udah." Nadira looked worried, occasionally his eyes watching my every move.

Fortunately many lesson hours are empty, some teachers are not coming. I can do some homework that I didn't have time to do yesterday. The phone I put in the pocket of the school skirt shook, there was an incoming message.

Faro: how's the wound? Did mendingan?

I smiled reading her message,

Me: I'm good, I'm in school.

Faro: Thank goodness I'll see you later this afternoon.

Me: yes.

I smile every time I read or reply to Faro's message.

The break bell rang loudly, some students immediately rushed out towards the canteen. While I was still busy staring at the phone screen, repeating reading messages from Faro.

In front of the classroom door sounded rowdy, some female students even to the point of shouting.

"What's wrong?" I asked Nadira.

"Don't know. Maybe the sultan's son moved here." 

I didn't really care what happened to make a scene. I'm back on my phone screen,

"Kara, it's coming." Nadira didn't finish, she just shook my arm.

"What the hell is Nad?" My eyes widened, seeing Jupiter coming towards the table I was on.

"Gue wonder. Why are you so scared to be forced." Jupiter was standing right next to the table, her hands folded across her chest, staring at me cynically.

"Ah, this is just about to open." I raised the phone screen, hoping Jupiter believed.

"Chat with other people you mean, until you forget to unblock me." I immediately saw the phone screen. Geez I haven't pressed close yet and still display the contents of Faro's message.

"It's gonna open." Soon I opened whatsapp, searched Jupiter's name and unblocked it.

"That's it, isn't it?" I showed you the phone screen, again,

"It's all in the storm." Narrator.

Class was not as crowded as before, once I looked around it was only me and Jupiter. Even Nadira disappeared without me noticing.

"Nadira came out of it."

"You told me to?"

"No!"

"No way." Decakku, though,

"That's back to your class, why is it still here."

"Lo is really bad. For you, don't leave class." Jupiter pulled out a bundle from her pants pocket. 

"Take care of it." Jupiter ruffled my hair, and after putting the plastic-filled food on the table, she went out without arguing with me.

I was still staring at the plastic bag containing the nutella sandwich and one box of strawberry milk. Until the vibration of the phone stopped my daydream.

One message coming in, though,

"Did not be dumb! Poison mace! If it hurts the stomach, then you have responsibility."

My eyes scoured all over the place. It turned out that Jupiter was still behind the window glass, smiling. One hand waved then passed, until his body was lost behind the wall.

Jupiter wasn't as bad as I thought. Even that night, when we were at one of Dad's friends' birthday parties together, she looked so sweet. Jupiter is handsome, even his good looks are above average, it's just that his dominant attitude sometimes irritates me. And again she's the boyfriend of the most beautiful student in my school, Ayudia.

In retrospect, I've been dealing lately with men who already have a partner. I didn't think Jupiter liked me, just as soon as I heard David's story that night, was it wrong if I thought Jupiter did like me?.

So too with Faro. I know he has a lover, even his lover is the older brother of Jupiter. But I still let him go further into my life. The presence of Jupiter changes little by little my habits, at first I really like peanut butter, because the idea is now I actually like nutella. His silly attitude which was so annoying, I slowly got used to it. Although Jupiter is very noisy and strange, but its presence actually gives color in my life which only has two colors, white and black.

So does Faro, his presence means a lot to me. Unlike Jupiter, the presence of Faro is like a fresh breeze in the midst of my stuffy life.

The presence of both of them has its own role and place in my heart and I hope I don't get lost due to the presence of the two men. Because once I got lost, I didn't know who else would save me, other than the two men. Am I greedy if I want both? Of course not. Because there's only one man I love, Jupiter. The strange man with all his ridiculous actions.
