It's hard to see Kara smile, even since I came fifteen minutes ago, Kara just silently watched every answer sheet that had to be in it.
He's not usually like that.
"Is there anything you don't understand?" I try to break the silence.
"No. I understand." He did not answer at length as he usually did.
It should be normal, Kara was silent like this and what I expected. But, looking at her not as cheerfully as usual, made me a little distracted.
The awkward atmosphere was finally over, after Kara had finished the answer sheet properly. I hesitated to ask him if he would continue learning to ride a motorcycle or not.
"I'm going for a walk." Suddenly Kara made a noise between her hands busy putting books into the school bag.
"You want to go with me?" Me and Kara puffed up, though,
"Yes, if you're not busy."
"Where?"
"Where aja. Just a minute." I looked back at him, it seemed like something bad had happened to him. He's not usually like that.
"OKAY. Come on!."
I'm waiting for Kara outside near the security post . Before long she was out wearing long black jeans and a pink t-shirt. As usual, she looked simple, but very sweet.
"Your bike cake?" Kara asked, as soon as I saw me on the Ducati bike, mine.
"Want to use this bike?"
"It's not. It's not good, use your bike."
"Ga anything. Yu walk, I'll hunt in the afternoon."
I turned on the motor, slowly leaving the gate of Kara's house.
Kara started to clutch the bomber jacket I was wearing, the more I drove the bike quickly, the tighter the grip.
The bike went further and further, but I didn't know where to take Kara. I finally decided to take Kara to the lake in the Sunter area. The artificial lake is pretty good, besides I don't really understand taking a girl like Kara to a foreign place.
"Kesana aja yuk!" I pointed to the chair on the edge of the lake. The afternoon sky seems still bright and the wind is quite strong around the lake, making Kara's long hair scattered due to the wind.
"I don't know where you're going. So come here, it's okay, right?" My toot.
"I like it, the place is good." Kara replied, her eyes still looking far towards the lake.
"What do you want to drink?" My bargain. Since the weather is still hot, I'm sure Kara must be thirsty.
"I want some coconut ice." I nodded, immediately looking for the coconut ice merchant.
I don't know what Kara thinks, until she doesn't realize I'm coming. His eyes were still staring far away, there was even sadness behind his round eyes.
"You're weird today. What's up?" I asked while putting coconut ice on his lap.
"mm? I'm not why." Kara is confused.
"Sweets baget here, if you're bete again." I pointed her forehead with my shoulder. Kara smiled, even though I knew her smile looked forced.
"One day ago, I got a letter of reprimand from one of my teachers at school. I didn't come too late, but still. And that information reached my ears, I was angry this morning." Kara said, her eyes were far away, her hands clutching the glass filled with coconut ice firmly.
"Mom didn't like me the most, but that day I didn't do it on purpose." Kara looked sad, she bowed her head staring at the white shoes she was wearing.
"Why is it too late?" Much
"My own fault, went out of school until I was late for class." He answered while sucking coconut ice.
"What happened cannot be restored, but you can fix it tomorrow ." I'm trying to make Kara feel better, even though I know it doesn't help her.
"really?"
"Mmm, everyone must make mistakes, whether intentionally or not. You must make sure that the mistake does not happen again. And apologize to Mom, promise you won't do it again. He must understand."
"If you'd just convince Mom that easy."
"A mother must have forgiven her son's annoyance, let alone that it wasn't on purpose."
A sweet smile rose from Kara's lips. Making me feel relieved, I was finally able to see him smile, even if only a glance.
"Thank you, I didn't come here. I like the place. Or do you come here often?"
"No. This is the first time I've been here." To be honest, I'm the first time I've been here. Usually I just go to futsal, or Dea's house.
Remembering about Dea, I forgot that this afternoon I promised to meet her, and as soon as I saw the clock from the phone screen I was immediately shocked. It was five in the afternoon, and I promised to pick her up at four.
I immediately opened the screen of the phone that I had been keeping in my backpack, several messages and calls filled the screen and all that from Dea.
Wretch!
Either kenpa, when I was with Kara, I often forgot about Dea.
"Udah afternoon, want to go home now?" Kara suddenly patted my arm while I was busy opening one by one a message from Dea.
"You want to go home?" My toot.
"Actually still at home. But, the rich you have another promise. So, just go home."
I was more astonished at him. Kara is psychic or what, she can always read my thoughts, even twice her guess is always right.
"Next time I take you to a better place."
"Yes"
Kara and I decided to go home. Arriving at Kara's house thirty minutes later, Kara immediately went down and told me to go straight home.
"I'm home, yes" Kara smiled and nodded
"Don't be sad anymore, ugly if you pout." I rubbed the top of his head, even his hair felt soft behind my fingers. Kara seemed surprised by my treatment, visible from her cheeks that immediately blushed to make me more anxious.
I arrived at Dea's house almost seven in the evening, and greeted several members of the Dea family who were gathering in the living room. I've been quite familiar with the Dea family, even the stories of people who say that dealing with prospective in-laws is more horror than the guts test in a haunted building.
I broke the strange theory, the real thing I could get along easily and was well received by Om Emil, Dea's father.
"Good night Om," I said, as soon as I approached Om Emil who was busy playing his tablet.
"Yes, there's a promise to get out. To his friend's show." My answer.
In this room there is not only me and Om Emil. There is also Jupiter who is staring at the phone screen without being disturbed by my presence and there is also David who is busy reading his favorite comics.
From the direction of the kitchen door appeared Auntie Tati, Mother Dea. She carried a tray of three tea plants and a jar filled with snacks for her husband and two sons.
"Eh, there's Faro. When's coming?" Ask her. I immediately stood up to him, and reached for his arm.
"Yes Aunty, new date. I'm gonna go get Dea."
"Ohh, Dea's still on top. Just a minute, yeah. What do you want to drink?"
"No need for aunty, it's full."
"Yes already. If you want to drink to make Auntie, then auntie wants to go to the room first." I'm nodding.
Not long ago Om Emil also pegi following Aunt Tati, he said goodbye because there are many office jobs that must be completed. Now it's me, Jupiter and David. They look cool with their respective toys, only occasionally I hear Jupiter clucking annoyed while ruffling her hair, although her gaze can not be separated from the cellphone screen.
"Tumben ain't hanging out?" My toot.
"Mmmm, the mager bang." Jupiter answered, without looking at me.
"Why is it too late!" Dea's voice was so loud, it made me look. I found the look of his face that had been bent, and came down from the stairs. Next to his hand tote hills shoes and next to him carrying a light blue bag. In line with the tight dress she wears.
"There was a sudden job, couldn't stay."
"Why didn't you say. I've called hundreds of times, you didn't answer!" Dea still looks upset
"Yes I'm sorry." There was no defense other than apologizing to ease Dea's emotions.
Dea's nature is harsh, but she'll melt away as soon as I apologize. For now the apologies and elusans on his cheeks are still my mainstay weapon, when he is angry or sulking.
"Where are we going?" Much
"Street, we'll go out with Nadia and the others as well."
The purpose of the path that Dea means, which is to gather with his friends in a club that has become a regular subscription Dea and his friends. At first I felt uncomfortable being in such a place, just that I had to get used to it since I was close to Dea. Because, Dea's life isn't far from such a money-wasting event.
"That's why you're home." Dea asked, realizing that one of her sisters was rarely at home, was now in a chair and just silently staring at the phone screen.
"Mmmm, mager." Answer Jupiter briefly.
"It's also customary to wander or mojok with Ayu." Dea Syndicate.
Jupiter lowered her phone from before her, looking back at her brother with a panted look.
"Whisper, the quarry goes there!"
"Decided huh?"
"What the hell?!"
"You look like I'll be surprised if you're heartbroken."
"It's not heartbreak, but Ka Jupiter is waiting for her bales chat." Suddenly David answered, now he put a comic that had covered his face.
"Huh? Seriously deck?"
"Yes, it's ga bales-bales. My brother sent hundreds of messages." A second later, Dea laughed.
"Hahahhaha, I need to talk to people. He could have ignored my handsome brother." Dea was still laughing at her younger brother who was increasingly irritated because he was made a mockery.
I smiled at their closeness. The Dea family belonged to a harmonious wealthy family. Different from most other families who do not care for each other, the Dea family supports each other. Behind the selfish figure of Dea, he is actually a kind and loving kaka, as well as behind the indifference and difficult to manage Jupiter, he said, he is a obedient boy who respects his mother and parents. As for the bontot David, he complements between his two kaka. David is smart and also smart.
Just imagine behind his silence, it turns out he still had time to sneak to find out what Jupiter did from earlier.
"Whoever is this handsome. Mmm?" Dea stroked Jupiter's chin, teasing her.
"Cryption! There go. You don't know Bang Faro's been waiting three hours." Elak Jupiter while patting Dea's arm that is still stroking her chin on purpose.
"Biarin, he's late for her." Dea replied while glancing at me.
"Who the hell, I was curious. Ga beautiful? How beautiful is Ayu?"
Dea getting kepo, as Dea leaned his body to look at the screen of Jupiter's phone. But Dea has not had time to seize the phone belonging to Jupiter, he was first pushed by Jupiter to return away. Actually Dea and Ayu are quite familiar, because they have done a photo shoot together. And since Ayu is the lover of her brother Jupiter, they become more and more familiar.
"Who? Ayy? Later I chat deh, let's not make my handsome adek is upset."
"Open to Ayu. Her name is Kara Kaisara." Knock David.
I was stunned as soon as I heard such a familiar name in my ear, spoken aloud by David. Is that the same guy?
Or is Kara different? There's a lot of Kara's names in the world, and I really hope it's not the Kara I know.
"Kara? Wh who? I just heard."
"Udah don't want to go. The buruan go there!"
"Yes, yes, yes," Dea still chuckled, but this time she pulled my arm, inviting me to leave immediately.
As usual every time I go with Dea, I must use Dea's car. All the way I just kept quiet, even I couldn't concentrate properly.
"Far, Alfaro!"
"Yes? Why?"
"I should have asked you why. Why diem? It hurt?" Dea put her hand on my forehead.
"Not hot." Further.
"I'm not sick."
"Why did it go away?"
"Shall yell, shall you?"
"That's not it either." Decak Dea's. Fortunately, there was an incoming call on Dea's phone, so Dea just focused on talking to someone from across the street.
I'm back on the road. I tried to ignore my feelings, but it felt like something was stuck. Seeing how the sea of Jupiter, staring at the screen of the cell phone without stopping, makes me sure that the person who is waiting for Jupiter is not an ordinary person.
I've known Jupiter for a long time, I know what it looks like. He would not be agitated like that just to wait for a reply to a message from someone. But, this time Jupiter seemed annoyed, even repeatedly she scooped her face violently.
Whoever that guy is, I shouldn't care. But, upon hearing Kara Kaisara's name, my feelings turned erratic. I was confused to mean it, just a little bit of unwillingness, and upset, my Kara got a message from another man.
