Chapter 18: Getting Around the Palace

Adi surprisingly felt something strange, he left Lucia behind and ran down the stairs.

"Wait, where are you going?"

Vern also felt the same way and immediately ran next to Adi out of the academy, they broke through the crowd of people to get to an alley and saw that around five guards had become corpses. On the wall there were scratches of giant claws as if made by a wild beast.

Just for a moment Adi and Vern could sense which energy was terrifying.

"Master, this?"

"It must have been the Demonic we talked about earlier."

"Gruesome."

Adi and Vern jump on top of the building to see if they can find a small clue there, Vern finds it first.

"There's a cloaked man running there."

"Cursue, don't let it get away."

"Good."

Both started moving.

Adi jumps down while Vern chases from above, with quick vision Adi can find the direction where the person turns.

He went into the alley and then appeared on the main street to ambush him undetected, he pulled his gun but when he pointed it forward, it was Vern who raised his hand.

"Don't shoot."

"Vern's? Where's the guy?"

"Don't know, Vern is sure he's after her. It's like he just disappeared."

"What might teleportation magic be, the possibility of it coming to see the situation or so on."

Adi's premonition gets worse, before anyone sees it, the two return to the academy and start negotiating everything with Yorin.

"It's hard for us to know if the culprit is in the academy or not."

"I did a little digging for information, but I haven't found anything strange."

Adi took a momentary pause to continue.

"Why are you in my bed?"
