Book 2: Surviving In Another World From Zero
Chapter 13: The Fight In The Subterranean City Part Five

Vares' fight against Ardhi continued, neither of them showing any determination to give in despite the smoke now reaching 50 percent of the city.

Ardhi tore off a corpse's clothes and then covered half his face so as not to inhale the smoke while Vares also did the same.

Ardhi was tired of moving his sword in the air because that was why four of his swords were back on his waist, while two more were in his hands.

He lunged forward while swinging it swiftly, on the other hand Vares blocked the attack then launched a counterattack at full force, he held his sword with two hands maximizing all his strength well.

Thumped.

Trangs.

Tungs.

The sword continued to clash for several minutes, a slash making Ardhi's body injured as well as Vares who suffered the same wound. Fighting even with this kind of condition was too much for both of them.

"Don't we better get out of here and stop this fight?" advice Ardhi.

"So far, there must be a winner, after all I'm sure that our leader has overcome your friend even brought Purin himself."

"You're overconfident."

Ardhi uses Double Slash to corner Vares' power, but one of his swords is thrown from him and falls on the other side, using the chance that Vares delivers a stab that pierces through Ardhi's body mercilessly.

"Guakhs."

"I think I'm the winner."

"Not yet."

"What?"

The thrown sword moved the air next through Vares' body right in his heart.

"Could you have accidentally unleashed your sword?"

Ardhi smiled slightly in response.

"That's how, this is the only way to let your guard down."

"Truly reckless."

While Vares collapses, Ardhi pulls the enemy sword on his body then throws it into the fire, one of the swords he put into his scabbard while the other one he used to prop his body out of the city below.

Slowly he dragged his feet and no matter what injuries he could get, he just had to keep walking out of town.

Although Vares said that his members may have been defeated, he did not believe so much, Nisa has lately been getting stronger in fighting, Mery and Latifa have also been fighting hard.

Their thing could be defeated only by the bandit leader outside of Ardhi's own thinking. They certainly won, he believed that considering Latifa even continued to train her attack power even though she should have been on the back line.

Ardhi's steps began to stagger as his vision blurred, when his body could not hold him he lost his balance and was about to fall forward before his face was restrained by a padded pad.

"This?"

"You're pushing yourself too hard."

"Sina?"

"Whosoever else is worried so I come to pick you up, let me help you."

"Thank you."

"Is everything safe?"

"That's how you are, Purin's fine, too."

Ardhi smiled slightly before closing his eyes. When Ardhi opened his eyes he was inside the tent with his body covered in bandages.

"I'm still alive."

Next to her slept Latifa and it was clear that she had taken care of her. He opened his eyes and then jumped on her.

"Ardhi, you're dead."

"sick."

"Ah forgive me."

"Where are the others?"

"They rested in another tent, the underground city of Arfadius was no longer habitable because that's what everyone chose to sleep in the forest."

Ardhi exited the tent with Latifa and saw that his surroundings had been filled with tents as well. Some even sleep in the wild with leaves and fireplaces as warmers.

"It seems I slept too long."

"Yes, I had to apologize to Ardhi before."

"I'm sorry for what?"

Latifa looked timid while holding out a mirror to her.

When Ardhi saw himself he finally realized that his face was full of lip marks.

"Latifa?"

"Ah, I'm sorry.I couldn't help myself, I was going to remove it in the morning."

Ardhi let out a long sigh, this might be called taking a chance in trouble.

"I'll sleep outside."

"Heeh, Ardhi is still sick, let's sleep together again."

He obviously can't run away from this.
