Episode 7; Fever is Missing

Lena could not see the writing on the blackboard in front of her. His eyes were heavy and his vision blurred. Lena has not been able to sleep well and has always woken up in the middle of the night.

“Lo why?” Chery who was sitting next to Lena nudged the girl's shoulders slowly.

“Gue dizzy Cher, abis this lesson permission huh? I'm going to UKS...” Lena glanced at her watch. Ten more minutes the second hour bell will ring. Lena refocused herself on her maths lessons.

As soon as Mr. Santo left the room, Lena immediately got up from her seat, my “izinin ya?” the door again.

“Do I need to take you?” ask Chery to make sure.

“No need, I can still walk alone..” Lena waved her hand and walked out of the classroom. He walked to the UKS. The scorching sunlight blinded her eyes so that Lena's eyes were half closed while walking down the edge of her classroom building.

Lena stopped right when she saw the gate of Pak Wahyu's house that was slightly open. Suddenly his mind changed. He glanced around the school, making sure no one knew he was sneaking there. Lena then rushed into the courtyard and was surprised to see Bu Revelation, looking towards her.

“Kok Non here?” Bu Wahyu had known Lena the other day when Lena and Renov came to her house.

“Bu, Lena rest here for a while huh? Lena has permission..” pinta Lena.

“Non Lena hurts again?” ask Miss Revelation worried.

“Lena just a little not feeling well, Bu”, Bu Wahyu touched Lena's forehead, the girl did not lie because her body was warm enough. Bu Wahyu let Lena into his yard and saw the girl lying on the lawn after calling their pet cat.

“Non not signed in? Later in the wind?” haggar Bu Wahyu before he left his house to shop.

“Ngak Ma'am. Lena is here only..”.

“Then I stay a while ya?” pamit Bu Wahyu answered Lena with a slow nod.

Bu Wahyu looked uneasy when he saw Lena who was still asleep in her garden. It had been two hours Lena slept there and she did not dare to wake the girl. Doubtful Miss Wahyu dialed the phone number in her phone book.

“Den Renov..” greet Bu Wahyu slowly.

“Iya Ma'am, what's wrong? How did my phone tumben? You are healthy, right, Bu?” Renov, who had just finished washing his car, glanced at the wall clock in his living room. It's only 11 in the morning.

“Sehat Den, alhamdulillah.ini Den..” Bu Wahyu fell silent again, doubtful whether he should tell Renov or not, “gini Den. Non Lena has almost two hours of sleep on the home page of Mother..”.

“Biarin aja Bu. Maybe he's tired.” Renov is not sure of the answer. Two hours? That means the girl's ditching lessons. This is not normal for Lena.

“But Den, earlier Non Lena said that she was not feeling well. Afraid why. I dare not wake up..” said Bu Wahyu finally. Renov listened silently to his explanation.

“In the meantime Renov got there, Mom...” without waiting for long, Renov grabbed his jacket and car keys. He rushed to his school. Renov just hopes the streets are not crowded and jammed.

Renov put his car near Wahyu's house. He was in a hurry when he left his house so he only wore jeans and a plain black T-shirt that was covered by a jacket on the outside. Although it is not mandatory to come to school, Renov still has not been declared graduated. The rules for wearing polite clothes in the school environment are still attached to him. So, as much as possible he tried not to be seen by the teacher.

After looking around, Renov ran and sneaked between the cars before entering the courtyard of Mr. Revelation. He saw Lena still curled up on the grass.

“Renatta..” call Renov slowly while shaking Lena's shoulders slowly.

No response from Lena. Renov then grabbed Lena's shoulder and turned her body so that Renov could see the girl's face clearly.

“Renatta..” call Renov again.

Renov's feelings start to get uncomfortable when Lena never wakes up from her sleep. When Renov decided to shake the girl's forehead and neck he was stunned. Chilly.

“Renatta!” renov shouted as he grabbed Lena into his arms. Just as he was about to lift Lena's body and take her to the hospital, the girl opened her eyes slowly.

“Why scream anyway, Mother? It is still morning.” Lena's voice is so soft but Renov can still hear it clearly. The girl was delirious.

“Ren...Renatta..” Renov patted Lena on the cheek slowly to wake her up.

Instead of waking up, Lena wrapped her hands around Renov's body. Making Renov move frantically between letting it go or letting it go. Renov realizes that his heart is beating abnormally, and he does not want Lena to know how he feels this way.

Renov's heart suddenly felt as if it were painful to hear him. Does Lena not live with her mother anymore? It didn't matter if the girl could hear the sound of her heart rumbling like that.

“Renatta..” call Renov again, but no answer. He glanced at Lena who was in his arms and realized that the girl was back to sleep.

“Mother..” Renov called Bu Wahyu who had been watching from Cheasahan.

“Iya Den..”

“Renatta I brought to UKS yes.” saying Renov while lifting Lena's body with both hands.

“But, Den. UKS full. Mom checked it out. If you are going to the house first how?” haggar Mother Revelation.

“Bby, Bu”, Renov then followed Bu Wahyu's steps into his home. Renov laid Lena down on the sofa Lena had used before.

“Mother has a blanket? Renatta said it was cold.” Renov got up from his seat when he saw Mother Revelation return and brought two blankets. He took it to Lena and looked at the girl with pity.

“I go to the teacher's office first yes, Mom. Let me take care of his permission..” Bu Wahyu just nodded while looking at Renov's back that disappeared from behind the door of his house.

“Renov!” sure enough, not yet in the teacher's room, Renov was called by a teacher who happened to see him, “why are you in school? Have you forgotten the rules here?”

“Not like that Mr. Sony.” Renov looked at the teacher confused, “I want to ask for permission to get sick..”.

“You will not be obliged to come, if sick rest at home or to the hospital. Why is it here?” ask Mr. Sony suspiciously.

“Not like that. Not me sick but Renatta.”.

“Renatta who?” Mr Sony paused for a while and then remembered one of his students, “Is there a relationship you have with Renatta?”

“I..” Renov was confused. But now is not the time to talk about this, “Ah, I have not answered my question. So look, Renatta is sick and I will take him to the hospital.”.

“Why did you bring it?” Mr Sony saw Renov's face fixed before he finally realized that his student was not messing around, “ah, where is he now?”

“There is at home Mr. Revelation.”.

“Pak Revelation? How..” Mr. Sony again shook his head to expel his curiosity at this time, “You go to class take his things, let the father ask permission. I will accompany you to the hospital.”

Renov nodded and walked into Lena's classroom. It is a class XA1. He took a deep breath before forming the classroom door.

“What's up?” ask Bu Dira, a biology teacher who is teaching in Lena's class, “why do you use jeans?”

“Begini, Mom..” Renov began to explain the problem.

“Chery, please enter all Lena's items. He was sick and had to go home.” in response he told Chery to pack Lena's things. Chery ran to the classroom door and was surprised to find who was standing behind the door. Why is Renov here? As soon as Renov received Lena's bag, Chery grew more astonished. What is Lena's relationship with Renov and since when?

Chery returned to her seat but she only daydreamed for the rest of the lesson this afternoon. Lena's never told me about this before.

“You sure you can take care of it yourself?” Mr. Sony helped Renov get Lena into his car.

“Iya, Sir. Coincidentally Om my doctor..” replied Renov confidently.

“Alright then..” Mr. Sony closed Renov's car door and returned to his message, “gaga him well. If you need to, you can contact your parents. If not, you're the only one to take care of her. You know that she only lives with her dad?”

Mr. Sony's question left Renov stunned. In response he simply nodded and got into his car.

“Renatta, exactly what happened to you?” Renov looked at Lena with his feelings crumbling instantly. He remembered when the girl called him Mother. He would never have thought that the girl was also fighting against her loneliness.
