Rama came down from his room clean and tidy. He walked to the dining room to have breakfast as usual. Rama's face was a little surprised when his eyes saw there sitting the figure of an old man whom he always respected. Who else if not the grandfather.
"Grandfather has come home" said Rama who immediately half ran to the old man, kissed the back of his hand and then hugged him.
"Yes, my grandfather just arrived at dawn. When you're still sleeping," the grandfather quipped.
Rama glanced at Kian who looked down but both hands actively put food into the plate of the grandfather and gave it to the old man. The woman did not want to look at him at all let alone talk to him. He seemed more evasive. And the change in attitude was realized by Grandpa Bimo.
"Are you guys fighting?" grandpa asked Bimo half-whispering to Rama as they saw Kian walking away towards the kitchen.
Rama shook his head and then lowered his head. An attitude that can be easily understood by the grandfather if the two grandchildren were having problems.
When he was watching Rama suddenly the grandfather was interested in the clothes worn by his grandson. His forehead is slightly wrinkled.
"Are you not working today?" asked the grandfather while watching the grandson who only wears a t-shirt and pants relaxed when usually the clock is like Rama is dressed neatly typical office people.
The question posed by the grandfather attracted Kian's attention to turn to the man. Inner Kian also wondered why the husband did not wear his work clothes.
"Today my body aches all the cake. So I decided to rest at home" replied Rama.
"Are you sick?" ask the worried grandfather. But Rama was silent. He even massaged his own forehead slowly.
"Have you gone to the doctor?" ask the grandfather again. Rama shook his head.
"Why?"
"It's okay, Grandma. I just need a break. Maybe I'm very tired" replied Rama again.
After preparing everything, Bimo's grandfather, Rama and also Kian sat down together to enjoy their breakfast. And this time they enjoyed the dish quietly and without any noise at all.
A very unusual situation occurs. Kian still steals a glance towards Rama who is having breakfast. The man's face looked slightly paler than usual. More and more think is it possible because of the influence of drugs mixed by Safira yesterday?
To be honest there is a sense of worry in the heart of Kian about the condition of the man. He was actually eager to greet her and help her recover her condition. But last night's incident really made him now afraid to get close to the man.
"Grandfather" said Rama after they finished breakfast.
"Yes" replied the grandfather. The old man turned to look at the granddaughter who was looking at him wistfully. Kian who was also still sitting at the dining table was still listening to what the two men were talking about.
"I'm sorry? What's for?" asked Grandpa Bimo did not understand.
"For my treatment all this time who never listened to you stay away from Sapphira."
Grandpa Bimo and Kian were staring at Rama simultaneously. The man is still down. Grandpa holds the grandson's hand.
"Son, what's going on?" ask Grandpa Bimo. Rama was silent. He was ashamed to tell the truth. But he has to say everything, right?
Rama also told me everything he experienced yesterday afternoon in Safira's apartment. At first there was anger in the heart of the grandfather because again and again his grandson again obeyed the woman by coming to his apartment. But when he listened to Rama's reason for coming, Grandpa Bimo finally understood. He was even more emotional when he heard that Sapphira had mixed a drug into Rama's drink to make the man unconscious.
He cleared his throat and raised the glass in front of him to drink. That made Rama's attention slightly divided into the woman's movement. Rama understood what the wife meant. He did not tell her everything that happened to him. Scenes of himself with his wife deliberately did not tell the grandfather.
"So how now?" ask Grandpa Bimo. He wanted to know what decision the grandson would make.
"I promise Kek. I promised my grandfather I would never have any more contact with Safira. I will make calculations for them. They have to pay back for what they have done to us" answered Rama.
"No need," said Grandpa Bimo calmly. But it did make Rama confused.
"Why Cake? Usually, grandfather always gives lessons to people who want to do evil to us, right?" Ask Rama. Grandpa just smiled.
"What are you going to do to them? Their company is already destroyed and will not be able to grow again. Especially because of the case of embezzlement of funds committed by Safira's father to our company, all companies will not be willing to cooperate with him. So grandpa thought there was no need for us to bother doing something. Let nature work" explained the grandfather. Then Grandpa Bimo stared at Kian.
"Isn't that right, Lian?" ask grandpa Bimo. Kian who was asked suddenly by the grandfather only replied with a clumsy smile.
Rama noticed the interaction between his grandfather and his wife. The woman had really made the grandfather become calmer and not ambitious anymore. There were so many changes in her family for the better and it all happened after she came into her life.
Now Rama has begun to realize that he is actually so lucky to have his wife. He never complained to her even though he always hurt his wife. Not to mention the attitude of the wife to Grandpa Bimo. The woman was always sincere in caring for and loving her grandfather. Though he knew if the future and also the dream of the girl had been destroyed due to the match made by the grandfather. But the woman seemed to not care. He still loved Grandpa Bimo like his own grandfather.
Plus last night's incident. Although it happens because of coercion, not the basis of likes with likes but it still gives a sense of pleasure to Rama. For the first time he touched a woman so deeply like that and Rama loved it so much. Could the love in Rama's heart for his wife have begun to grow?
