BEING THE WIFE OF HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW

BEING THE WIFE OF HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW
CHAPTERS 16. MEET OLD FRIENDS

Drrtt…

The phone in Rama's pocket vibrated as he finished his work in the office. The man saw it and the name "Lian" was written there. Indeed, just before he left for the office, the grandfather forced them to exchange mobile numbers in order to let each other know. And Rama could at least refuse the grandfather.

"What did the girl call me?" muttered Rama but no doubt he also picked up the phone.

"Yes." said Rama.

"Mas, I'm at home feeling bored. Can I come out for a minute?" ask Kian from behind the phone.

"Where are you going?"

"Not far away. Just a walk to that restaurant near the city park."

"Hmm, uh,"

"Can, Mas?" ask Kian cheerfully.

"Just go" answered Rama again.

"There's still a lot, Mas," said Kian and then the connection was cut off.

Kian immediately changed his clothes, combed his unraveled hair and gave a little color polish on his face. After she thought it was perfect, the girl picked up her sling bag and left to be escorted by their family driver.

At exactly 11 pm, Kian arrived at a fairly large restaurant located near the city park in accordance with what he said to Rama. Cheerfully the girl came down and went inside. He ordered a serving of food and drinks for her to eat on the spot as well as bought a pack of wrapped food and drinks and had the waiter deliver them to his driver who was in the car. Kian did not want himself to eat well while the driver waited in the car while daydreaming. That's why he bought her food.

He really enjoyed his lunch. It was visible on his face that looked increasingly radiant. How not, it has been almost a month he underwent a fake marriage and only this time he was able to walk out of the house. His plate of meat steak and strawberry juice had already exhausted him greedily.

"Hmm, it's only one o'clock. Can't I take a walk before I go home? Ah but go straight home. I don't want to deal with Mas Rama's sharp eyes" muttered Kian with a smile.

Just as he got up from sitting down, a voice calling out to him sounded.

"Kians…"

Kian turned to the side and saw the figure of a man wearing a white shirt wrapped in a light brown suit was standing looking at him. Kian frowned. His brain kept thinking trying to remember who the man in front of him was.

"Don't say 5 years we didn't meet but you've forgotten me" the man said. Kian still pecked to make the man take a breath and pat his forehead slowly.

"Of Kian, who else in the world can tell which one is Kian and which one is Lian?" add the man while smiling.

Kian glared his eyes as he realized who the male figure was. His lips smiled and he immediately burst into the man's embrace.

"Samir," cried Kian happily.

"Geez, how are you getting so handsome?" ask Kian while continuing to pinch the cheek of the man.

"Okay... ouch. sick Kian.." said Samir grimaced. He let go of his hand without stopping laughing.

"Oh yes, sorry.sorry.let's sit.your brother changed a lot. How can you turn into a handsome gini?" ask Kian in between his laughter. Samir was sitting in the chair in front of Kian.

A waiter appeared to approach to record their order. In the end, they ordered only two drinks.

"If I turn into a handsome man, then now you're willing to marry me" Samir joked with a wink.

Hearing that, the smile on Kian's face faded. Samir has always expressed love to him but he always refused. Samir, Kian, and Lian are childhood friends. Samir has always liked Kian. He's not even tired of showing his love to Kian since they went to school together. But after finishing school, Samir continued his education outside the city and since then the relationship between them was cut off. And after five years, they have only just met again but Samir still expressed his feelings to Kian.

A waiter who delivered their order made Kian wake up from his daydream.

"Samir, honestly until now I was always confused," said Kian to divert the conversation. He didn't want any chatter about the wedding until it was long. Because if that happens, he doesn't know what to answer. Especially now that she was pretending to be the sister-in-law's wife.

"Stupid? Confused why?" ask Samir.

"Hmm, how is it? Maybe it's because I see not using the eyes but using the heart" Samir replied with a smile.

"Hmm, dreadlocks," Kian replied as he slightly pinched Samir's hand on the table.

"So, seriously. If I look with my eyes, I will definitely not be able to tell the two of you apart. But if I use the heart then I will definitely find out who Kian is and who Lian is."

"Why?"

"Because my heart is bound to you. So my heart would never be able to be changed."

"Even if we exchange identities?" ask Kian. Samir immediately fell silent and looked at the girl's face.

"Is there anything you want to say to me?"

Samir asked because he could sense if there was any intent behind Kian's question just now.

"No. There aren't. I'm just asking, " replied Kian smiling clumsily. While the man still looked at his first love intensely.

"Oh yeah, so all this time didn't you continue your school out of town. What are you doing here?" tanya again tried to divert the conversation.

"I've worked at one of the top companies. And you must have heard of it," Samir replied calmly.

"Oh yeah? Where do you work?"

Samir was silent for a moment and smiled.

"Amarta's group"

Uchuk…

Hearing the friend working at Amarta's Group made Kian shocked even to choke on the drink he was sucking. Samir immediately panicked and quickly stood up giving a tissue towards Kian while rubbing his back.

"Are you okay?" ask the man when Kian is calm.

"Yes. I'm it's okay. Thank you," Kian replied. Samir returned to his seat.

"You work at Amarta's Group? But it's a company." Cuts the sentence.

"Yes. Your sister-in-law's company," Samir replied with a smile.

"But…"

"I work in a branch. Not in the main office" said Samir.

"Isn't Lian married to the CEO of Amarta's Group?" add that man.

"Hmm," Kian muttered while scratching his non-itchy nape.

"Good then. Do you know what? Rama Amarta is my college friend."

"What?"
