Jia shed her tears after finishing the prayer on her last bow. This morning, the girl woke up to a dream that almost every night was always a flower of her sleep. An accident that somehow happened where, when and who the people in his dream were. It was frustrating to not be able to remember anything small about him.
"Oh Allah, please return the memory of the past servant. Do not let the servant get lost for too long by not remembering one thing whatever happened first," he said then rubbed his face with both palms.
The girl got up from her prostration and moved to tidy up the prayer device she was using.
His hand reached for his cell phone while sitting back in bed. He opened the Quran app on his phone. Jia continued reading the juz that he could not finish yesterday.
So solemnly did Jia chant the Qalam Allah that his voice filled the entire room.
Even she was unaware that nurse Hye Jin had been standing in the doorway of her room after knocking a few times.
The three-year-old different nurse on it was so stunned to hear Jia's voice reflected from corner to corner of the room.
He continued to observe Jia who was still focused on her phone screen until the girl finished her reading by saying Alhamdulillah.
"Well, Ji Kyung-ssi, your voice sounds so beautiful. Only the first time I heard the Quran reading so beautifully," he said as he walked closer to Jia.
The girl smiled, "Nurse Hye Jin, since when is it there?"
"From five minutes ago?" he whetted.
"I'm sorry. I didn't pay much attention around when I was teaching."
"It's okay. I was so comforted and touched by your reading, "his hand moved to check the girl's blood pressure.
"My mother's house in Busan is not far from a mosque. Every time I pass the mosque, there are often people who teach together but not as beautiful as your voice," he said, tidying up the tension device he had just used.
Jia smilingly looked at him, "Good Koran reading doesn't mean he's going to heaven. I still have a lot to learn" he said. While nurse Hye Jin just smiled.
"Sorry nurse Hye Jin, do you have religion?" jia asked carefully.
Nurse Hye Jin nodded his head, "I'm Buddha," she replied.
Jia ber-Oh-ria heard it.
"In Korea, you shouldn't be surprised to hear people who don't believe in God. Because the majority of the population has no religion."
"Yes. Ever since I found out that Sua had no religion, I was shocked and astonished. How can man live without believing in the creator of this life? I feel sad knowing that."
Hye Jin looked at her with a faint smile, "Have you ever heard the phrase that humans are the most hypocritical creatures in the world?" ask Hye Jin.
Jia shook her head while looking at the woman.
"Since childhood, I was taught by my mother not to easily believe in others. Because in this world many people are hypocritical in living life. They can't be trusted. Cleverly shiny tongue. They use each other. Even when acknowledging God's power. God has been kind enough to give the world pleasure, but they are not grateful to Him at all. You know what they're gonna say?" His left forehead lifted.
Jia shook her head again.
"How can I thank you when I don't see the figure of God" Hye Jin grumbled.
"When it looks like his figure is sometimes not appreciated by them. Some are valued only as lips. Reproaching haughtily at the back, bowing respectfully at the front. Isn't that what you call a hypocrite?" he added.
Jia just silently looked at him. The girl waited for Hye Jin to continue his words.
"But life is a choice. You are free to choose whether to believe or not. Thank you or not. Don't trust others, especially strangers. It is hard to forgive when you are so disappointed."
Jia smiled jailly, "You're talking like you're not human."
Hye Jin became misbehaved to Jia's remark, "Erm-I mean, depending on the intentions of each person's heart," she stuttered.
While Jia laughed looking at him, "Alright. I understand what kind of man you mean," he said.
"Oh yeah, I wonder, what kind of war will soldiers like Joo Young face while on a mission ?"
"Many things they will face, especially for a soldier named Captain. The leader of a special force trained to sacrifice lives, ready to lose their own lives even to destroy the lives of others."
Jia frowned, "What do you mean Joo Young can also kill someone ?"
Hye Jin's nurse hesitantly nodded, "Don't the enemy have to be annihilated in order to win and survive ?" he asked for a response from the girl.
Jia just silently heard Hye Jin's words. In her mind raging about the profession run by the man who claimed to be her future husband. For him a soldier only served to serve the community as well as being part of the peacekeeping force. What kind of army could kill someone like that ? Then, does he also have to be ready, to accept the fact that the man could have been killed in the Battlefield ? Doesn't that only happen during the colonial period ?
"Did you miss Captain Kim ?"
Hye Jin's question managed to solve all the questions raging in her mind.
"No !" quick answer. "I'm just curious what kind of mission a soldier like him is doing" he added.
Hye Jin nodded softly while smiling jail, "There may be lovers don't miss each other," she said trying to tease Jia.
Jia smiled, "Do you think there she misses me too ?" jia asked the beautiful nurse.
"of course. As long as you're in a coma, Captain Kim never takes his eyes off you. That's enough proof that he loves you so much and worries about you."
Jia chuckled at Hye Jin's explanation, making the woman look at him with a raised left forehead.
"Thank you for saying that," Jia said which further confused Hye Jin.
"alright. Then excuse me Ji Kyung-ssi."
Jia nodded while throwing her smile a glance. Instantly, his face turned serious.
"Did I miss him ?" she said remembering some of the little things that had happened between her and Joo Young. One thing that worked for the man was just the three mainstay words he always said.
'There is no rejection'
The corner of Jia's lips lifted when he remembered the look on Joo Young's face when he said the three mainstay words.
---------------
Deep in the European continent, Joo Young and his troops were sneaking into the area of an old 5-storey building on the outskirts of the city. The building which became a place of captivity of a number of women and girls who were sold as slaves to the lust of the mafia leaders in various countries.
Carefully and vigilantly, the six men, dressed in full uniforms and attributes of war, split up and entered through several doors that would connect to the first floor of the building. Their targets were on the 4th floor and 5th floor.
And when Joo Young made it through the main door, with quick steps the man ran through the small spaces on the main floor. There were no mafia members they found. There were only a few doors that had already been crushed like the kick marks of someone.
Joo Young coded his troops to follow him up the stairs to the 2nd floor of the building.
In the 2nd floor area, there were several men of large stature and dressed in tight black t-shirts unconscious with fresh blood flowing from their heads, noses, lips. Min Hyuk and the four other Joo Young men were surprised to see they were lifeless. Except for Joo Young, the man casually ran small towards the connecting stairs to the 3rd floor.
Four Korean second-tier special forces soldiers, known as the SAS Team, were preparing to fire long-range shots from their weapons from the connecting stairs to the 4th floor.
Seeing the arrival of Joo Young and his troops, the four men pointed their weapons at the six of them. Even sparingly, Joo Young's men pointed at the tip of the weapon. Except for Joo Young who kept stepping forward towards the stairs.
Hearing the name of Team Alfa made the four soldiers lower their weapons and immediately saluted.
Joo Young continued to pass through them until the top rungs. The man turned his body around and coded Min Hyuk for the tactics they had put together the day before descending into the battlefield.
Min Hyuk nodded his head. He swiftly ordered the four members of his army to be in the position that had been planned.
Min Hyuk stared worriedly at Joo Young who was getting invisible from the end of the stairs. The man had entered the 4th floor area where the mafia was nesting.
Some members of the Mafia welcomed his arrival. They smiled cunningly when they saw Joo Young coming by pointing a gun at them.
But what makes Joo Young surprised is someone who is helpless with bruises on his cheek and his left eye.
"Jung Yu Jin?" ogre.
Kim Joo Young knows the man well. They were in the same military academy while continuing their schooling to America.
"I'm here to make an offer" said Joo Young in fluent English. The man began to follow his tactics.
They laughed dismissively at Joo Young's remark. One of them stepped closer to Joo Young.
"If the offer you brought is only as big as a watermelon, go. Before our boss cut off your head and those soldiers" he said, smiling cunningly.
Joo Young snorted in response to the thick bearded man before her. It made the man feel that Joo Young was challenging him.
"Damn it!"
With a quick motion the man raised his fist on Joo Young's face. But nimble as well, Joo Young went against the direction of his punch.
Joo Young grinned, "Let's see whose head will be cut off later," he said fearlessly.
There was a clash between Joo Young and ten mafia people on the floor. With all the abilities he had, Joo Young made one by one of them lying helplessly on the dust-filled floor. Joo Young put out all the energy he had to escape the shot they aimed at him. So did he, rightly shooting at them in their stomachs, until they fell helpless. Now there was a bearded man who had threatened him earlier.
Joo Young kicked the tip of the gun that the man pointed at her, leaving it lying far away.
The thick-bearded man looked at Joo Young with concern as he walked backwards. Until he reached the wall and could only raise both his hands.
Joo Young pressed firmly against the man's chest with his right hand. Makes him grimace in pain.
"Tell me where your boss is and where the women are hidden."
Joo Young's heavy voice sounded terrifying.
"I'll set you free if you say it honestly."
The thick-bearded man nodded his head with a trembling body.
"The basement of this building. He was there. And those slaves, they're upstairs."
Joo Young pressed the man's chest again until he had trouble breathing. He tries his hardest to let go of Joo Young's hand which torments him slowly.
"Wait a minute, I've answered him honestly" the man stammered.
Joo Young pulled the corner of her lips then turned the man's body against the wall. He violently struck the back of the thick bearded man's head until he was unconscious.
"Thank you, at least I still give you a chance to live" he said and immediately gave the code to his men to go upstairs.
Joo Young walked over to Yu Jin who was already half conscious. The man's breathing sounded heavy.
"I never expected, a west point graduate soldier could be uprooted against just a few mafia people" he said, which made Yu Jin smile.
"I didn't expect to meet you under these conditions" Yu Jin said.
"Ck. Don't say much" Joo Young's hand moved wiping the fresh blood coming out of the corner of Yu Jin's lips with the handkerchief he was carrying.
"If you can't fight them alone, call your men for help."
Yu Jin nodded softly, "You're still the same as before," they laughed together.
--------------
Yu Jin groaned in pain as he regained consciousness from his sleep. The sky of Fier City was dark. The two Korean special forces have returned to the barracks provided by Albanian military bases.
The ambush was successful after several hours of waiting for negotiations between Joo Young and the mob leader. But not the mafia if you don't do cunning. They do not believe in the offer brought by the peacekeepers. The UN has promised to provide funding and establish a legal organization for them.
Until there was a shootout and a fistfight on the lower floor of the mafia leader's hideout with the rest of its members. Joo Young, Min Hyuk, Sergeant Seo, Sergeant Park and Yu Jin exert all their abilities to subdue the mafia. Other members of the special forces have taken over the release of women and girls they are selling.
A few hours in progress, the shootout and the resulting clash finally ended after the five of them managed to make the mafia lie unconscious. Now, the duty of the Albanian military is to take care of the rest of the mission.
Joo Young saw the collapse of the mafia leader with a scary grin. To him, the moment he managed to make the enemy fall before him was a pride in itself.
"You awake?" ask Joo Young who has now given up her war attribute. The man only wears a tight-fitting shirt with Korean military-style striped pants.
"It seems I fainted too long."
"You even made me have to get you to the chopper."
Yu Jin laughed hearing that.
"Astaghfirullah, I missed the magrib prayer," Yu Jin said as he stared at his watch which had been arranged according to the country's time. Now in Albania it has been shown at nine o'clock in the evening. There is still plenty of time to pray Isha.
"You're muslim?" ask Joo Young who was surprised when she heard his words.
Yu Jin nodded his head.
"How long has it been?"
"From three years ago?" he seemed to think, "Yes, it's been three years. Since I was assigned to Iraq."
Yu Jin got out of his bed to fetch some water. But his steps came to a halt as Joo Young pulled her wrist. He looked at Joo Young with his left eyebrow raised.
"Can you teach me about Islam?" joo Young asked which made Yu Jin stare in disbelief at her.
During his studies in the military in America, Yu Jin knew very well that Joo Young was a person who obeyed the beliefs of his family.
"You're serious?" Yu Jin tried to see the seriousness of the man's eye bead.
With confidence Joo Young nodded his head.
"I'm so sure."
