“Dad!”
“Iya. I want you to marry Sua.”
Joo Young approached her father, “I don't want dad. I think of him as my sister. I don't like that girl.”
Joo Soong looked at the child.
“Your time is enough to get married. You also have a good position in the military. Why linger with single status?”
“I'm also thinking of getting married, dad. But not with Sua. The girl had a lover whom she loved very much. And also, I am still thirty-four. Dad knew exactly what I wanted to marry only when I was thirty-five.”
Joo Soong sighed softly, he knew very well that his son was the type of stubborn man and always chose his own way of life.
“Good. Your birthday's in two weeks, right? I will wait for your decision to marry Sua right on that day,” said the middle-aged man as he moved from his seat.
Joo Young closed her eyes to stabilize her emotions that were about to overflow.
“I told you I don't want to marry Hyoen Sua,” he said in a high tone.
The middle-aged man stopped two steps ahead of his son, “Then who are you going to marry?” he chuckles.
“Daddy has obviously chosen you a suitable partner for you. Sua is beautiful, kind and responsible. What else is less than him?”
“Dad please,” he stared fixed both beads of his father's eyes.
“Accept father's decision.”
Joo Soong steps past Joo Young who is still thinking what could make her father give up on her match with Sua.
“I have a lover,” he said which made the middle-aged man's steps stop.
Joo Young was forced to say that when it occurred to him only to lie to his father on the grounds that he already had a lover in order to escape his match with Sua.
Now the question raging in his head was just who the figure of the girl he could introduce as his lover to his father was.
“Really?” he looked at Joo Young who was still behind him.
Joo Young also turned around to face her father while putting on a serious facial expression. He didn't want the man to suspect him.
Joo Soong stared fixedly at the two beads of Joo Young's eyes, trying to figure out a lie from there. But he did not find anything strange from the look of his son's eyes.
“When the company change is implemented?” Joo Soong asked suddenly.
“Besok.”
The middle-aged man nodded his head.
“Take him home tomorrow night, I want to see your lover.”
Joo Young was shocked by his father's words. He did not expect this masala would spread so quickly.
“She can't,” she said quickly.
“Why? Is he busy? What's the job?”
Joo Young swallowed her saliva hearing the question. He felt like he was being cornered.
“Dia—dia is in a coma after having an accident.”
There was no choice but to lie to his father. Everything he said just flowed when he remembered the girl lying in a coma in the hospital.
“Yes God. Tell dad.”
Joo Soong stepped back and sat down on the chair he had previously sat on. He invited Joo Young to sit next to him.
While the man was still thinking about what kind of story he would tell his father. Joo Young sat down next to her father.
“What should I tell you?” Ask the man when he lands his butt in the seat pad.
“Tell me who your lover is and how the chronological accident of the girl.”
Joo Young sighed softly and then started telling the story that she herself told the middle-aged man.
“Namea Jia. We dated seven months ago. While traveling from Seoul to visit me, suddenly a lorry crashed into his car. He was thrown out of the car which resulted in his head being hit and now he has a concussion and is still in a coma.”
Joo Young looked down pretending to be sad when she told Joo Soong about the incident. In his heart he continued to beg God for forgiveness for having dared to lie to his father.
“One-time pity. Is there still a chance for him to live longer?” Asked the middle-aged man who instantly made Joo Young raise her head.
“Of course. He will definitely wake up as soon as.”
“Does his family know of this incident?”
Joo Young shook his head.
“She's an orphan Dad.”
“oh forgive dad. What hospital is he in? Dad will visit her before returning to Seoul.”
Joo Young bit her inner lips when she heard her father's statement.
“I--,”
Drrtt Drrttt Drrrtt
Vibration from Joo Young's phone interrupted his words. He reached into his jacket pocket and took out the square thing. Sua called.
“Sorry dad. I have to take this call,” he said, who was nodded by Joo Soong.
“Halo. What's calling me?” sua's voice sounded so panicked from across there.
“Alright, I'll be there now. Do your best.” He turned off the phone.
“Sorry dad. I gotta go. Next time we talk again.”
Without hearing Joo Soong's response, the man ran out of the room to the parking lot of his car.
God, save him, I beg you.
Joo Soong saw his son's departure from the commander's window, until the car driven by Joo Young was not seen again.
He felt something was hidden by his son. He has to investigate what it is.
“Sua did not receive this matchmaking,” said Hyoen Jung Soek who just entered and immediately sat on the chair.
Joo Soong sat facing her. Hyoen Jung Soek is the father of Hyoen Sua.
The two middle-aged men are close friends, when Jung Soek became a member of a company that was once chaired by Joo Soong who was still a Captain at the time.
“Joo Young also refuses to be betrothed to Sua.”
“Our children both have a lover, so we should no longer plan an arranged marriage for them. What say?” Ask Jung Soek.
Joo Soong sighed softly and nodded. “Iya. It's better that way too.”
“But I really want Sua to be my son,” he said so frustrated.
Jung Soek chuckled at the behavior of the old man in front of him, “Hei! Isn't Sua like your own child? Even he spends more time with your family than with me.”
“Iya also. But the story is different when you become my daughter-in-law.”
“Have discussed this. Sua will still be your daughter despite not being your daughter-in-law.”
Jung Soek snorted, “basar you are,” pussy on Joo Soong.
-----------
Joo Young shifted the door of Nayla's nursery very roughly, making Sua and the two nurses who were helping her turn their heads together in shock.
“What happened Sua?” Joo Young asked as she stepped into the patient's bed.
“Her heart rate suddenly stopped just as I was about to check her condition. I think he had a sudden heart attack. And thank God when I did the heart shock for the third time, this girl's heart beat again. That scares me.”
“Then, is he okay now?”
Sua nodded and gave instructions for the two nurses who helped her to get out of the ward immediately.
They bowed respectfully before finally stepping out of the room.
“He's fine,” he threw his body on the sofa.
“We need to keep it even tighter. I was afraid that this would happen again. If he was alone in this room, of course his life would not be helped.”
Joo Young walked over to the patient's bed. He sat next to Nayla's stiff body.
“True. I shouldn't have left him. I should have taken care of him,” said Joo Young who sounded sad.
Sua sighed slowly and got up from the sofa where she lay. The girl looked at Joo Young who was now looking at Nayla with a sad look.
“Already Oppa. It's not your fault,” he patted slowly on Joo Young's shoulder, making the man turn to her.
“I went back to the ER first yeah. There are still many patients I have to deal with.”
Joo Young just nodded and saw Sua leaving this room.
He looked back at Nayla's face.
“Please hold on,” said the man so softly.
