Lies (about Jia)

Jia has now moved her seat to her bed. Joo Young, who did not dare to move the girl to bed, chose to ask two nurses who were on duty.

They had finished breakfast an hour ago. Now the time has shown at 10 am Korean time. Min Hyuk had already paid his way back to his apartment after finishing his breakfast. There was still silence between the two of them. Both of them were swept away in each other's minds.

Until finally the deheman of Joo Young invited the attention of Jia.

"There's something I want to talk about" the man said.

"Please."

"Regarding our marriage," Joo Young stepped over to Jia's bed and sat down opposite the girl.

Jia waited for the man to continue his words.

"Because your condition is still not healthy, I decided to hold a simple event. There's only my family, and we. Do you mind?"

"Why is it just your family? What about my family?" Jia seemed to be unable to accept Joo Young's statement.

"Jia," he stared fixedly at the girl's two beads, "Your parents are gone. So is your grandmother."

Hearing that statement, both of Jia's eyes beads glazed over.

"No way," the girl shook her head slowly.

"I told Jia the truth."

The girl began to shed her tears.

"I can't remember them at all" he murmured.

"Calm Jia. Slowly you will regain your memories. Don't add to the burden of your mind."

Jia tried to control herself. He looked at Joo Young's face and nodded slowly.

"Please tell me about me" he said.

Joo Young was silent for a moment, before she finally smiled faintly and nodded her head.

"Your name is Hyun Ji Kyung. You are called Jia. You are from the Mix Family. Your father is Korean and your mother is Malaysian, just like me" the girl is still waiting for Joo Young to continue the story about her.

"Only, you were born in Malaysia and grew up there, which is why you don't speak Korean. We met last year in Malaysia, when I was appointed Korean-Malaysian Defense Ambassador. At that time we met at Bukit Kiara Islamic cemetery, where your mother and my mother were," looks sad face of the man.

"I saw you being persecuted by a woman who turned out to be your aunt, the sister of your mother. I helped you from that bad woman and took you into my car. To the point where you overheard me speaking in Korean, immediately asked for help so that I could take you to Korea. Because you want to meet your father and grandmother" Joo Young sighed.

"In short, you told me all the cruelty of your mother's family, and I helped you to meet your father and grandmother. Arriving here, we separated for a few months, until reunited on Christmas Eve. From then on, we started to get close and eventually established a relationship to this day. Counted seven months we dated and chose to get married soon."

"Is that really what happened?" ask Jia.

"Do I look doubtful to you?" Joo Young tried to exude seriousness from her face and both her eyes.

"I'm sorry. It's just, I don't think I've ever experienced that."

"Slowly you'll remember it."

Jia forced herself to smile.

"I'll try it" he said slowly.

Joo Young frowned, "try what?"

"Trying to believe everything you said," he threw his gaze towards the window. Out there, the sun was shining brilliantly.

"Because right now, you're the only one who can tell me everything about me. When I opened my eyes after a long dream, you were the only one who knew me. I realized that you're the only person I can trust right now."

"And about our relationship," he turned his eyes to Joo Young, "Do we love each other?" he asked carefully.

"em, I mean, did I ever say that I love you?" he added.

"Never."

Jia frowned. As if asking "Why?".

"You never said you loved me since I asked you out. But from your treatment of me all this time, it's clear that you love me."

"For you, love is a feeling. And that feeling is something invisible. If, something invisible is only expressed through words, it all seems meaningless. Because sometimes, even a lie will sound like something real."

Just like I do now. Joo Young.

"That's why, even though, you never said you loved me," Joo Young looked at him so intently.

Jia was speechless hearing every utterance from the man. He felt like he had never said that before. She doesn't even love Joo Young at all.

"I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing?"

"Because I don't remember anything about us."

"That's it. This disaster is God's will. You just need to be patient and keep the spirit in order to recover quickly."

Jia nodded her head while smiling. The girl promises herself to stay upbeat and must try to regain her memory.

"Tell me again what you know about me" the girl excitedly said, "Ah, please tell me too, how could I have an accident. Tell me about your family, Sua, Min Hyuk, everything about you."

Joo Young laughed at her, "I'll tell you everything" he said. One by one the words strung together on the basis of lies began to slide from his lips. While the girl was swept away in her belief that could trust her speech.

-------------

Keyla arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International airport at five o'clock in the afternoon after the first transit at Sultan Hasanuddin airport, Makassar.

She typed a few words into a WhatsApp chat room for Kanaya, her mother. The girl only told me that she had arrived in Jakarta safely. In half an hour he will fly to Kuala Lumpur International Airport by Airasia Indonesia. The plane that will take him home will transit first in Malaysia, before finally delivering him to Fukuoka, Japan.

She is currently walking to Starbucks to buy her favorite drink, Americano. While playing his phone, he continued to unconsciously not pay attention to the surrounding, making the girl hit someone who was carrying a drink. As a result, the drink spilled over the man's clothes.

"Okay, sorry-sorry. I was completely unintentional" Keyla said, wiping the man's sleeves down with a drink.

"Already, no papa, ma'am. I was also wrong, the road was not careful" said the person he hit. Apparently he's a man.

Keyla raised her head to look at the man's face.

"Well, Arkan?" keyla said when she saw the man's face, it was someone she knew.

"Keyla?"

The girl smiled at his smile.

"Don't see you for a long time?" Arkan nodded with a smile.

"What's in Jakarta?" ask Keyla.

"I have business here. If you?"

"I'm from Gorontalo and now I'm going back to Japan,"

"Oh, Gorontalo? Where is Nayla? Where's naylanya? Not coming?" ask the man.

Keyla just kept quiet and didn't answer her question. He chooses to get Arkan to speak at the waiting area at gate three.

The girl forgot her main goal of wanting to buy a drink.

"You haven't heard from Nayla?" keyla asked when they were in the waiting area for gate 3 passengers.

"Yet. Nayla why?" ask the man.

"Is there no news on tv about Nayla?" ask Keyla again.

"Nothing," the man nodded.

"Absolutely?" Keyla made sure once again.

"Yes Key. There's no."

"Wuaah, yeah right. It turned out that Pakci Robbi had arranged for the news media here in Malaysia not to broadcast the news about Nayla," the girl muttered while leaning her back on the back of the chair.

"Why Nayla, key?" ask Arkan who started to get anxious because the girl did not answer his question.

"Nayla's dead, Ar."

Arkan was silent, staring in disbelief as the statement was made by Keyla.

"No way," he chuckled.

"You're kidding me, aren't you, Key?"

Keyla shook her head, slowly. A look of sadness from his face, but the girl showed a smile so thin. The girl had promised herself not to cry for Nayla anymore.

"Are you watching the news of the Eastern China Plane that crashed in the Seorak mountains?"

Arkan nodded.

"Nayla was one of the victims of the crash" he said.

"Oh Allah, Nayla."

"Nayla's quiet down there, Ar. We just need to let her down" Keyla looked at her with a bitter smile.

"Do you still love her?" Careful he asked.

Arkan was stunned to hear a statement from Keyla. Four years into a relationship with the girl, of course he can not forget Nayla. Moreover, the reason they separated was only because of the busy Arkan as a young entrepreneur who had just started his company from scratch. The man was too busy for Nayla to choose to part ways.

"You know, Key. For two more years, I tried to reach her, but she never answered the call and even returned my message. I really don't want to get away from him, Key. But circumstances forced us to separate."

Keyla's heart slipped upon hearing the confession. Nayla was lucky, even though she had been gone forever, there was someone who loved her sincerely. While her? For years, I had to pretend I wasn't hurt.

Keyla smiled but not for him. I think the man wanted to cry. Someone he loved so much, now separated the world with him.

Calls to passengers on the Airasia plane have been heard. Keyla stood up from the seat and looked at Arkan. The man looked up as he realized Keyla had stood up.

"I'm leaving first, Ar. Take care of your. Assalamualaikum."

Without hearing the greeting from the man, Keyla left with a smile. A smile that looked so slick on her beautiful face. Want as strong as his intention to surrender and sincere, the pain remains.

It may be true that people say, saying the word "Moveon" is easy, but not to realize it.

----------

Jia wakes up from her sleep after having a bad dream. The same dream before he finally opened his eyes after a few days of coma. In the dream, he saw a boy arguing with a grown man. There was a small quarrel between them, until a girl came and rested in front of the man. Jia could not clearly see the faces of the people she dreamed of. Only, he felt a great sadness for dreaming about it.

His hand moved to grab Sua's cellphone on the nightstand to the right of his bed, which was not yet taken by the owner.

He looked at the clock on the screen of the phone.

Already entered the prayer magrib time. Mumbled slowly.

The girl chose to sleep and ended her conversation with Joo Young when she was drowsy.

Recalling Joo Young, the girl swept through the entire contents of the room with her gaze.

He smiled to find the man asleep on the long sofa with his arms covering both eyes.

"Oh my God, is he really my future husband?" says slowly.

I don't feel like I love her. But isn't love going to come over time? I felt those words were more in accordance with my principles, than what he said.

"Your eyes are like trying to swallow that man alive."

Jia distracted him when she heard that voice. She found Sua standing in front of her nursery door carrying a grocery bag. The girl's look was different, too. If previously he always used a white coat typical of a doctor, tonight he uses casual clothes but looks elegant in his body.

"You've arrived a long time?" jia asked as Sua walked up to him.

Sua put the grocery bag she was carrying in Sua's bed.

"Lumayan. Since you used something."

"You hear that?" ask Jia.

Sua sat on the chair beside the bed.

"Listen. But I don't understand" he answered. All this time, he had been communicating with Jia using only English. Because Jia can't speak Korean but she's so fluent in English and Japanese, that's what makes her wonder.

Jia smiled, "Can you help me to go to the toilet, I want to pray" he said.

Sua nodded. He helped Jia sit in a wheelchair.

"Before prayers, why go to the toilet first?"

"I have to get some water first. That's a condition for worship in my religion. So that when we worship, we are holy and clean."

Sua just oh-ria.

"Sorry Sua, but, what is your religion?" jia asked carefully.

"I have no religion."

Jia gawked for a moment hearing Sua's very relaxed-sounding statement. How can a person live without a life guide? Religion is the answer.

Jia chose not to speak anymore. He performed his rituals before the prayer, accompanied by Sua who stood at the door of the toilet. The girl observed Jia doing her ritual.

----------

Joo Young awoke from her sleep, as she was soaking she heard women laughing. His body, which was so sore, felt healthy as soon as he got up from his sleep.

He found Jia laughing with Sua. The two girls were joking while trying some hijab that Sua bought for Jia, and that was Joo Young's letter. They don't realize Joo Young has woken up.

"Am I pretty?" tanya Sua who is trying to wear the hijab.

Jia nodded while smiling widely, "Once in a while. You are so beautiful" she said with passion.

Sua laughed hearing that. For some reason, when he saw Jia eagerly accepting the hijab he bought, the girl's heart was moved to try to wear the cloth.

"You're good at picking the color Sua. I like the plain colors like this" she said, observing all the hijabs Sua bought.

"Thank you, yeah."

Sua nodded with a smile.

The two girls, capturing the moment Sua wore a hijab with a selfie photo. Some mimic from the beautiful, cute, and even ugly pout, they capture. They both laughed at their own photos.

Joo Young was stunned to see the laughter escape from the girl. So beautiful, like the laughter possessed by Joa, her sister. He felt a longing again in his heart. Always when he saw Jia smiling, he thought and missed his sister again.

"Eh, are you awake?" jia asked who was already conscious, there was a pair of eyes glancing at them.

Joo Young nodded her head.

"You are familiar. I'm glad to see it."

"really? Aren't we that familiar?" jia asked as she glanced at Sua at a glance. He was waiting for an answer from Joo Young.

Joo Young just nodded her head.

"You only talk when you need to."

"Well, am I that cold as that guy?" the girl felt she was not the kind of person who was indifferent.

Sua and Joo Young momentarily fell silent and looked at each other.

"Not really. It's just that you guys rarely talk."

"Thank God. I hope, in the future we can be more familiar, Sua," he smiled sincerely looking at Sua's face. Unknowingly, he clasped tightly onto the girl's hand.

"All right." Sua returned her smile and grasp.

------------

Jia was sitting in bed looking at the outside of Chuncheon, which was visible from the hospital's large glass windows. Dark skies coupled with flickering lights in skyscrapers add to the beauty of the city of Chuncheon at night.

Now there's only him and Joo Young in this room. Sua had left an hour ago for a date with her lover. But the girl promised to return, because she had to accompany Jia to sleep. As usual, Joo Young slept in Sua's study.

"Tomorrow you will be operated on" said Joo Young, breaking the silence between them.

"I know," he turned his eyes to Joo Young.

"I've prepared everything."

"About what?"

"Our wedding."

"When?"

"From my birthday. Exactly two more weeks."

Jia gawked at hearing it.

"Isn't that too soon?"

"That's your wish."

"Me?" Jia pointed at herself.

Joo Young nodded, "Yes. You're the one who wants us to get married soon. You said you didn't want to linger."

Really it?

"Do you have any doubts?" Joo Young noticed the look on her face thinking about something.

"No. I'm just surprised."

"Please believe me," the man looked fixedly at Jia's two beads.

Slowly Jia nodded and smiled faintly.

*I'm sure, just*you're in my game, it's the same as luring them out of the nest. Then stay by my side until you recover. Your presence not only saved me from an arranged marriage, but also found out the truth about the past.

Your face is the most important weapon in the game. I promise to protect you wholeheartedly, even with my own life.

"Thank you" said Joo Young so slowly.
