Asphalt Edge Empty House

Asphalt Edge Empty House
Chapter 53 Anton Wijaya

Wira managed to find a large house, a large yard near the village office. The house belonged to the richest merchant in the village. As usual, they checked the building first. This time the house was locked.

Mbah Wongso approached Wira who impatiently wanted to break down the door. But the old man soon prevented, with his special skills, the wrinkled fingers of Wongso's mother from trying to unlock the door using a large safety pin she used to button her clothes.

It did not take long to lock the door open, Wira smiled widely while raising her thumb. Mbah Wongso returned Wira's smile and they immediately scattered to check the entire house.

"It looks like this house was left in a hurry, all the valuables are still in place, even the food on this table is still worth consuming."

Wira muttered while taking one apple presented at the dinner table. While Siska rushed up to the second floor, to bathe in one of the rooms. After that he planned to rest for a while, his body felt sore after fighting last afternoon.

In the back area, Mr. Jarwo first entered the bathroom located near the kitchen. Like the others, he intended to cleanse the body and rest in order to recover his depleted inner strength.

Instead, Wongso chose to go into the front room to rest, while meditating. The night will soon arrive. The hero hurriedly went to the living room to block the door using chairs and tables. After that he immediately took a bath alternately with Pakde Jarwo.

At nineteen-thirty, they all gathered at the dinner table for dinner. Siska cooked some instant noodles that she found in the kitchen.

"Hopefully the owner of the house is not angry, because we barged in, and ate his instant noodles without permission."

"I'm sorry, ladies and gentlemen, we were forced to cook these instant noodles and eggs to survive."

Siska joked, opening up the conversation at the dining table to warm up the atmosphere. The night situation in the village was very cold, quiet, and quiet. Out there all that is heard is the sound of birdsong and insects typical of the rural night.

The four of them sat facing each other, each enjoying instant noodles while talking about the strategy they would do to face Asih.

"Hopefully there will be no astral attack tonight, my body will still be sore from the black shadow that struck me this afternoon."

Wira complained about her chest that still hurt. But Mr. Jarwo did not comment, he got up from his seat, then hurried to step into the room. A few seconds later the old man came out of the room carrying a small bottle containing his own concoction medicinal pill.

"Take these pills, tomorrow morning your wounds will be healed. Tonight let me be the one watching. You were too tired from not sleeping yesterday. So now it's my turn, you rest so that tomorrow your body is fresher."

The hero nodded and then went to the middle room. He was very tired and sleepy. The hero immediately laid his body on the sofa. While pakde Jarwo and Mbah Wongso were still chatting at the dinner table with subtle Javanese language that was not understood by Wira.

Soon Siska followed soon after. After cleaning the dining table, washing dishes, and cooking utensils, he rushed upstairs to sleep. Today was exhausting for everyone.

Pakde Jarwo sipped black coffee made by Siska while smoking tobacco, which was wrapped in dried corn leaves. Mbah Wongso stood by the window while occasionally peering into the courtyard.

"What's ki Wongso, why does his face look agitated, is there a new light related to the female devil?"

Pakde Jarwo was made curious by Wongso's behavior. The look on his senior's face seemed anxious, even though they had fortified the house with a magical fence.

"It's best not to sleep too soundly tonight, somehow my gut feeling is not good. I think something's gonna happen."

Pakde Jarwo scrunched his forehead, Wongso's speech made him tense. The old man remembered the incident earlier this afternoon. Upon entering this village, they met not a herd of zombies but rather a black shadow, and a hand that came out from within the ground.

"Is it possible Asih deliberately wants to make us weak ki Wongso?"

"Honestly, my energy was a little drained, the black shadow, it didn't seem to be from a soft nation, whether they were of what kind, but what was clearly Asih sent it was just to make us weak."

Mbah Wongso agreed with pakde Jarwo, his whole life fighting with the soft people, just this time mbah Wongso felt exhausted, until he had to meditate in the room, just to recover his inner strength.

Early on he felt that the fatigue they felt was something normal, because they were both not young anymore, so it was only natural that Mbah Wongso and Pakde Jatwo ran out of energy.

But later Mbah Wongso thought back, he only realized that this afternoon, Mbah wongso felt like he was fighting himself. Their strength is almost balanced, if only Wira did not come down to fight with the golden dagger, Wongso could ensure they would lose by a landslide.

"We survived because of the heirloom of the young man, thankfully he was still able to go down to fight, even though he was injured by the creature's strike."

The two old men sat pensively, each thinking of Wongso's premonition. If his premonition really came true, then ready or not, they would have to go back to fighting.

As the night wore on, Wongso grew increasingly agitated, there was a strong urge within him to inspect the courtyard of the house, with the man's heart walking towards the living room.

"Where should we go Wongso, stay here and don't come out, I'm afraid they're stalking us out there."

Pakde Jarwo immediately prevented Wongso's step, he hurriedly confronted and then peeked out from behind the curtains. And his words proved to be true, from behind the trees a group of people wearing black robes stood watching the house.

One of them pointed towards the window, as if knowing the whereabouts of Pakde Jarwo. The old man immediately retreated, his heart suddenly racing very fast. For the first time in his life, Mr. Jarwo felt daunted.

The man who was familiar with the sweltering world, felt that there was something different about the cloaked man pointing towards him.

"You're why Jarwo, your face is as pale as it was the first time you met a delicate creature."

The attitude of Mr. Jarwo made mbah Wongso tempted to want to know what really happened outside. Impatient mbah Wongso immediately revealed the curtains, and he was surprised because the man in robes that saw Pakde Jarwo, now only a short distance from the window glass.

The face of the horned creature, with black eyes, and long fangs grinned loudly, to make mbah Wongso fall to the floor. For the first time he really saw the figure of the devil, not the incarnation of the genie or demon.

The devil occupies the body of a middle-aged man, but both Wongso and Pakde Jarwo can clearly see the original form. The two of them immediately retreated, and set up a formation.

"What's the matter, sir, why is his voice so noisy?"

The hero was not fully aware, but suddenly the chair used to block the door flew towards him, Luckily Wira had good reflexes, so that it could immediately jump to the side avoiding the impact of the chair that floated hard towards him.

In a panic the Hero pulled out a gun, preparing to shoot. But not yet pulled the trigger, Wira again surprised by the figure of a man standing in front of the door.

"Anton Wijaya?"

The hand of the Hero trembled, so knowing in front of him had stood the figure of Anton Wijaya, with a pale face, black eyes, and fanged teeth. The man he had been looking for, now came to the Spirit with a form that is no longer human.

"Fast run away, let this demon we will take care of it. You wake up Siska and you leave this house immediately."

Perplexed, he was silent for a few seconds, between rising up to wake Siska, or help Pakde Jarwo stem the attacks of Anton Wijaya, along with members of the Sandikala sect who stormed like wild animals.

"Go quickly Wira..!"

The cry of Jarwo's pakde made Wira aware, he fired several shots to inhibit the sect members who rushed in. Mbah Wongso immediately cast a protective spell to shield them from the attack. But the power of Anton Wijaya felt so great that the old man became overwhelmed and invited Pakde Jarwo to run following the Wira upwards.

In her room Siska had also woken up, she was just about to check down, when the Hero came to her.

"What's wrong, sir, why is it so rowdy downstairs?"

The hero pulls Siska into the room, then gives her gun to Siska. Afterwards Wira hurriedly locked the door and checked the entire room. He intended to find a loophole so that they could escape from the Sandikala sect members who had been demon-possessed.

"Sir, what's wrong?"

Siska was confused to see the behavior of Wira who looked panicked. Sweat soaks the face and body of the hero. Siska became curious, she wanted to open the door to find out what was happening, but Wira quickly stood in front of the door to block Siska.

"Below there are Anton Wijaya and members of the Sandikala sect who have been possessed by demons. They came to attack, and now Pakde Jarwo with mbah Wongso is trying to hold them."

"We're told to run away now, while we can!"

Hearing Wira's words, Siska panicked, she pushed Wira's body as hard as she could, then ran out of the room while cocked her gun.

Alert Siska walked slowly while pointing a gun, preparing to be ready for an attack. At the end of the hall, Siska saw Pakde Jarwo and Mbah Wongso who were doing a ritual.

Mbah Wongso wrote something on the floor while chanting a spell. While Mr. Jarwo stood in front to face the attack.

"Sir...!"

"Thank God sir is fine, I'm surprised to hear we're under attack."

The new Siska will hug Mr. Jarwo, but the old man immediately rebuked, so that Siska did not interfere with the ritual process carried out by Mbah Wongso.

"Get out of here, Siska, this house is not safe. For a while we'll make them blind, you find a way out with the Hero!"

"But.. pakde?"

"Go now...!"

Pakde Jarwo raised his voice, only this time Siska heard the loud crack of his uncle. With a heavy heart Siska retreated, and returned to the room. There he saw the heroes tidying up their backpacks.

"Bring this rifle we're going down from the balcony on the side."

Siska was fixated, she was just about to apologize, but Wira seemed to be indifferent, and did not question Siska's rude attitude that pushed her superior.

"You why dumbass let's help me tie this sepray. Mrde Jarwo told us to leave right now."

Siska so wrong behavior made, he reluctantly helped Wira tie some seprays, then down through the balcony at the side alternately.

"Excuse me Siska pakde, Wongso, may you both manage to escape from the demonic devil Sandikala."

Before leaving Siska still had time to look up, he was still heavy to leave Jarwo who was struggling to face the invasion of the Sandikala sect.

"Come Sis, your sir wants us safe, so don't let him down."

Wira took Siska's hand, then immediately invited her to slip through a narrow gap beside the house. The two of them ran through the darkness of the night, in the mind of Wira at that time just wanted to secure Siska and Linda.

After finding a safe place for them, Wira intends to return to the mansion to help Pakde Jarwo and Mbah Wongso.

"May God protect both of them. Mrde Jarwo, Mbah Wongso, you hold on, I promise you'll be back soon."
