Asphalt Edge Empty House
Chapter 22 Black Starling Instructions

Time continued to run while Siska still turned around in the same place. It's almost afternoon, but there's no sign of a way out of the woods yet.

Siska was almost desperate, she decided to stop for a moment, while quenching her thirst by drinking from the stream of water that poked on the rocks.

While washing his face, Siska suddenly focus was diverted to a starling bird that perched on a tree branch, just above his head.

Somehow Siska became curious, he was interested in catching a black starling bird that had just been silent as if he was watching his movements.

"From now on I have not met a single animal in this forest, but now there is a black starling bird just above my head, is this a sign?"

"It looks like this bird is tame, should I just catch it, good enough for dinner or at least he can accompany me to find a way out."

Siska spoke to herself in her heart, weighing in would catch the starling bird, or leave it unobtrusive.

After thinking for a moment, Siska decided to catch the black starling bird, while the starling remained perched in a place not shifted in the slightest.

While settling down the Siska deposits climbed a tree that was not too big, his hand tried to reach the starling bird, but the bird suddenly flew to a higher branch.

Siska did not want to give up, she continued to hunt until it was not felt, she was already at the top of the tallest tree. From up there Siska can see far from the village of residents on the slopes that are bordering with the forest where it is currently located.

"Oh my God there's a village down there, this bird is really magical, it looks like God is showing you a way out through this bird"

Siska muttered softly, she immediately came down from the top of the tree, and just as she expected the black starling bird to fly moved from one tree to another.

Siska ran in pursuit, while continuously watching the flying direction of the black starling bird. His eyes focused until he did not notice that the distance between the trees was becoming more tenuous.

The sun began to clearly emit its rays that felt warm in Siska's body. The path that is passed is decreasing, and the ramps. Siska like finding new hope, the girl became more eager to pursue.

Black starlings, arriving to perch on the last tree branch near the path path. He just perched while jumping small and then matatuk matuk leaves.

Siska stopped her steps, for a moment she looked up to notice the behavior of the black starling bird, which was now just silently perched.

"Well why doesn't he continue flying, if I have to go where I am?"

Siska thought for a moment, in her heart the beautiful polwan hesitated to continue his footsteps, but the starling bird turned out to fly back into the forest and suddenly disappeared from sight.

"I didn't see it wrong?"

"Birds are real, aren't forest fairies, or other mystical creatures, but why are they flying so fast?"

Siska was stunned, she was still confused by what she had just seen, for quite a while she was fixated until then, Siska felt a pat on her shoulder.

"Don't try, or I'll break your head!"

Siska's reflex points the rifle at the man who patted her on the shoulder. Suddenly the old man retreated while raising both his hands. The entire body of the man trembled, his pale countenance unable to hide the fear.

"I'm sorry, sir, I think you're a bad guy, don't be afraid, introduce my name Siska, I'm lost, and I'm looking for a way home."

Siska hurriedly lowered the rifle, then extended her hand introducing herself. The man who turned out to be a villager, looked at Siska from toe to toe, then shook Siska's hand.

"Who is this child, from where, how did he get to be on the edge of this forest?"

"My name is Siska sir from Surabaya, three days ago I was taken to an old building in the forest, and this morning I entered the forest and got lost until here."

Siska told what she had experienced, to the old father of the villagers. The middle-aged man frowned, as if in disbelief at Siska's words.

"Are you really out of that forest?"

The middle-aged man asked once more to affirm the truth of Siska's remark. He was still unsure of what the police officer was telling him. But Siska even swore that he was lost into the forest, and reached the village by following the instructions of a bird.

"Why, sir, what's wrong with the forest, how come you don't believe what I'm saying?"

"It's okay, son, just forget your question, we better get out of this place, or later we can't go back."

Siska was astonished to hear the words of the old man of the villagers, she felt that there was nothing strange while inside the forest. However the man's expression implied something and Siska did not want to find out.

"Come on, kid, we should've gotten off before dark."

The man holding Siska's hand half-dragged, he looked riled up and wanted to leave the forest immediately.

Siska let her hand in drag, while her mind still floated over at the max thought of the man's words.

"Go on, son, don't ever look back!"

"But why sir?"

The old man was reluctant to answer Siska's question, he quickened his footsteps as if he wanted to avoid something. Because he did not get an answer, Siska became more curious, he did not heed the old man's words, and instead looked back.

What the man was really worried about was happening. Siska saw several pairs of eyes watching them from behind the lush trees.

As soon as Siska turned her face away, she no longer dared to turn her head, in her heart she was grateful for having made it out of the forest before night came.

The sky gradually began to darken, the sun began to dim, emitting a golden jinga glow. Siska and the old man, already at the resident settlement, both of them directly faced the village chief to report Siska's presence as a guest in the village.

"Good afternoon, kades, sorry to interrupt at a time like this, I just want to report if we have a guest, his name is Siska, from the city of Surabaya sir."

The village chief observed Siska's sexy makeup, clad in tangtops and shorts. In Siska's hand was still tightly grasping the rifle and her face looked choked because it had run away.

"Who, what will come to our village with inappropriate makeup in my opinion."

The village chief immediately scouted Siska with a question, while his eyes continued to stare at Siska full of probing. Siska felt cornered, she knew the village chief did not believe her, especially with a style of dress that was not in accordance with the customs of the eastern community.

Siska was forced to dismantle her disguise, and reveal all the reasons why she was in the village.

"As this father has said, I am from the city of Surabaya, and am on undercover duty to unpack a case, but I'm sorry I can't tell you the details about the mission."

This morning I managed to escape the captivity of a group of masked men. Two of them I managed to paralyze, but four other masked people chased me until forced to flee to the forest to hide.

In short I was lost in the woods, and he found me trying to find a way out."

Siska ended her talk about everything that happened. The village chief of mangut mangut mangut, his forehead wrinkled, he felt astonished because he could get out of the forest that they sacred.

"Mbak Siska was lucky to get out of there. The forest was wingit, many lost spirits were residing in the forest."

"To be honest I can't believe what Siska just said, but for a while we will accommodate you here, so as not to be outside the time of e-mail."

Siska felt that the village he came to was very thick with mystical things. She doesn't want to stay too long in the village, after all she has to save Linda, because two more days are coming full moon, and that's a sign that Linda's life is really threatened.

When the full moon arrives, a group of masked people will topple Linda as an offering to a creature they call the queen's kanjeng.
