Asphalt Edge Empty House

Asphalt Edge Empty House
Chapter 2 Mystery of Woman X

Wira immediately gas to the hospital, time seemed to be hunting him. The hospital wall clock shows at seven in the morning. The woman walked briskly and half to the hospital lobby to search for information about the caretaker who handled the unidentified body sent to the hospital yesterday.

The condition of the hospital at that time was rather quiet, understandably it was still morning. In the hallway there are only a few guard nurses, who will change shifts and cleaning service that looks busy cleaning the hospital aisle.

Wira unceremoniously went to the reception desk and spoke with a nurse to ask who the doctor was handling the unidentified female corpse found in the port area.

From the testimony of the guard nurse, Wira got information that the doctor who handled X's body was named Doctor Ani. He rushed to the autopsy room to see the doctor and discuss the case.

"Hopefully he's still here."

Said Wira lirih expectantly. Soon there will be a shift change, Wira does not want her efforts to meet doctor Ani so in vain.

And luck sided with him, Wira met Ani's doctor just as the doctor came out of the mortuary with a nurse.

"Doc... Doctor Ani.. !"

The sound of Wira's screams echoed in the hallway towards the mortuary. The doctor who felt his name on the call immediately stopped his steps, then turned to the direction of the sound.

"Yes.. I'm Ani, can I help you sir?"

"Include me AKP Wira Raditya, the officer who handled the case of finding the body of an unidentified woman in the container warehouse area of Bu Ani port."

"Oh.. last night my father's men have met me, but indeed I have not been able to give any information, about the death of the victim."

"Honestly this is a rather complicated case Mr. Wira. I still have to discuss it with the doctors, so that we can draw conclusions about the cause of death."

"Sorry doc, is there anything that the doctor can explain to me about the condition of the victim's body, what are the docks, if there is an initial clue that can be a reference."

Wira urged Ani's doctor to explain the general condition, in order to get a little clue about X's body.

Doctor Ani did not answer the question of the Wira. He stepped back into the morgue, and opened the freezer in which X's body was stored.

Kontan Wira turned his face away, the distinctive scent of the morgue made him nauseous. Meanwhile, Ani's doctor asked the nurse who was with him to put X's body on the mortuary table.

"For now all I can say is, the condition of the victim is like a preserved body, in his body we found no nutrients. Blood dries up the blood vessels in the brain to rupture, and the heart is absent or missing."

"From the DNA test in the laboratory the age of this woman is estimated to be only twenty-five years old, but strangely, somehow some of her hair is white. It could be the influence of genes, or the pigment is weak, it may also be another unknown factor.

"His skin is dry, wrinkled, unusual for women of his age. The muscle tissue turns blue, then there is mucus in the lip area that we are currently checking in the lab.

"There was no sign of physical abuse on the victim's body so we cannot explain exactly the cause of death. To be honest I said, it's too early to draw any conclusions."

"All we still have to research further Mr. Wira. Please give us time to examine in more detail to be able to infer the cause of death clearly based on the discipline of medicine."

"Yes even though we know equally well, that man would have a hard time living a life without a heart."

Aghast at the explanation of Dr. Ani, his brain seemed unable to accept the exposure he had just heard.

"Oh yes Mr. Wira, try to look at the right shoulder of this girl, she has a tattoo with a star, if you can find a clue from the tattoo. At least you can use the tattoo to track down the X girl's family."

According to Wira, Dr. Ani's speech has a point. He or she can start an investigation by looking for people or communities who use similar tattoos. Gratitude to be able to find family member girl X thought.

The hero took a photo of a star tattoo on the shoulder of the body that was stretched stiff on the corpse treatment table. While scrunching his forehead Wira tried to digest all the information conveyed by Dr. Ani.

"I can't say anything else, other than thanking her for the work of the doctor. If there is any progress, please inform me."

"Whatever it is, no matter how small the information is, please let me know."

"This is my business card, anytime the doctor can contact me if there is any progress."

"Oh of course Mr. Wira, I also hope the case can soon find a bright spot."

"Anyway the law shall be enforced and the guilty shall be rewarded."

The woman shook the hand of Ani's doctor, then asked for permission to leave the hospital. While Dr. Ani, only looked at the young officer until it completely disappeared from his eyes.

At ten o'clock in the morning the Hero arrived at the office courtyard, he had just got off the car, when a beautiful girl with an identifying mark coiled around her neck, came up to him.

"Sir Wira, sir. I'm sorry to interrupt your time for a moment, introduce, I'm Linda from the Surya newspaper office, permission for a short interview sir."

"Let's go Linda, I'm busy, I have important things to do now!"

"What do you mean, you're busy dealing with mysterious cases in the harbor, and that girl who jumped in the mall last night, sir?"

Linda immediately poked Wira with questions, while following her steps that made her way quickly to the office.

"Sir Wira please answer me, are the two cases related to each other sir?"

The hero stopped his steps, in the mind of the burly man, he admired Linda's intelligence as a young journalist. He has not yet thought whether the two cases are related. But Linda seemed to have given him a little enlightenment.

Wira squinted her eyes, she noticed Linda who was currently standing in front of her expecting an answer.

"You're a genius, follow me now, and we'll find out the same answer to your question!"

"I mean father?"

"I mean, you want news about the case we're working on. So I allow you to cover this investigation to the end."

"Exclusive, just for you."

Hearing the Hero's words, Linda jumped up in excitement. He was as happy as he was getting tens of millions of prizes from a television quiz show.

"Thank you commander."

Said Linda while shaking tightly the hand of the Hero without feeling any hesitation. Her sweet lips sat down with a warm smile full of familiarity. Wira was quite surprised to see Linda's reaction to him. The reporter girl hugged the arms of the Hero as if they were childhood friends.

"Eahh...!"

The voice of the Hero immediately made Linda aware, about the position of those who had just known, and only limited to professional relations of work.

Linda hurriedly removed her handrails from Wira's arm. He followed in the footsteps of Wira from behind, while patting her forehead, aware of the silliness he had just made.

From a distance some members of the police, pay attention to Linda's behavior. The pretty reporter's face flushed red, he walked down while hiding behind the broad back of the Hero.

"His daughter, commander?"

A guard officer, trying to say hello while taunting Linda. The hero only replied to her with a big smile, then clenched his hand.

A few minutes later they arrived in front of the office. Wira calls Siska and Tomy to come into her room to discuss girl X and the possibilities that link her case to the suicide at the mall last night.

The hero asks his two staff to compare the victim's files to look for correlations that may be connected, so they find it easier to find the motive behind the death of the victim, although they all know that these two cases are different.

For an hour they examined the file, observed and recorded some peculiarities in both cases, but they saw absolutely no common thread that could connect the two cases.

Linda, who has since just quietly looked while occasionally taking photos, then opened the chat to reduce tension.

"Maybe these two cases can be connected if they both have the same characteristics or special patterns before their death."

Tapping Linda, making Siska and Tomy look at each other, they tried to re-examine the file in front of her, while thinking about Linda's words.

Suddenly the hero who had just recorded and scribbled the agenda book, snapped a finger, as if he would find an idea, or the answer of the mystery of his death to the two girls. Wira quickly grabbed his phonesell and connected the data cable with a computer nearby.

Her hand deftly pressed the mouse button and before long she had already printed two photos of the same victim having a star tattoo on the right shoulder.

"You see this, they both have similar characteristics. Both have tattoos on their shoulders."

"The tattoo of the victim in the mall, not clearly visible because it is covered with hair, but look at these two images, they have similar tattoos."

Wira thrust two photos to Siska and Tomy, then they realized the tattoo photo was similar but different. One star tattoo is surrounded by a circle in the middle, while the other is not.

"Sorry sir this is different, maybe it's just a coincidence they have tattoos on the right shoulder, but actually these two cases are different, not related to each other."

Tomy refuted the theory of Wira, because the tattoos on the two bodies were only similar, and would look clearly different if the two were juxtaposed.

At first Wira was provoked by Tomy's words, but he more followed his instincts that said they both have a relationship that is intertwined.

The hero asks tomy to reproduce the tattoo image, then orders all members below him to find as much information as possible about the tattoo.

"Search anyone who uses such a star tattoo, ask who it was made by, and in which studio?"

Based on these instructions, all members under the command of the Hero immediately moved to collect information. Several people were questioned, all tattoo studios were searched, but they did not find a single clue that could lead to an investigation.

The hero looks upset, several times he hit his fist against the wall to invite the attention of the staff who were outside his study. While Linda who has always followed the activities of the Hero from the beginning became somewhat afraid to see the way the Wira evaporates his emotions.

"Sir what can I ask for a copy of the tattoo picture?"

"Maybe I can help you find information."

The hero immediately gave a copy of the tattoo photo to Linda without saying a word. Linda took a copy of the photo, and immediately asked for permission to leave the room.

Linda rushed to her workplace. Not long ago, the girl had arrived at the office, then hurriedly opened the laptop, and was busy surfing the internet.

Linda opened various news, history, and myth sites, related to the tattoo image that Wira gave to her. But after a long search for information, Linda did not find any articles or images that match the tattoo in question. In addition to the pentagram image which according to many articles, is always associated with the occult or a sect of devil worshipers.

Unexpectedly, it was getting dark, and Linda realized that in the room she was alone. The quiet office atmosphere, making the fur goosebumps. Linda was uncomfortable. Her heart said there was something in the office room that was watching her from somewhere.

Linda hurriedly tidied up her laptop then ran towards the stairs while saying kamit reciting prayer as much as possible. Security who saw Linda running scared, was astonished by her behavior today.

"Mbak Linda's... Ma'am..!"

Security was intending to go after Linda and ask what was going on, until she ran so fast, like she had just seen a demon. But the intention was void, because Linda was out of the office.

In the parking lot, Linda turned her face to the sky, and saw the end of the office tower where she worked shrouded in a pitch-black, rotating cloud.

For a few seconds Linda closed her eyes, then opened them again, and it turned out that the sky looked normal, the black clouds at the top of the building were no longer visible to her. With raging feelings Linda left the office yard riding her historic computer.

In different places the hero daydreams alone. He is still thinking about whether the tattoo on the shoulder of the two victims has a special meaning, or just a millennial child fashion that has no meaning what what Tomy said.
