Ariana For Rangga

Ariana For Rangga
Episode Forty Six

"Alhamdulillah, Grandpa can finally rest comfortably now."

Arin said with relief after Grandpa was transferred to the inpatient room.

"Alhamdulillah Rin, Grandpa was bored in the room. Installed a lot of tools, motionless, and there was only one person who became Grandpa's interlocutor. Now Grandpa just realized that Ardan is a boring person. Even Doctor Rangga was still better than her."

Said Grandfather in a voice that was still a little weak.

"It hurts, but the sense of humor is still normal cake."

Reply Ardan and avenged Grandpa's weak laughter.

"But Grandpa was happy too. Last night also Doctor Rangga checked Grandpa's condition. We talk a lot."

"Looks like that young doctor."

Said Mr. Malik.

"Yes, anyone would definitely be amazed by such a talented young Doctor as Doctor Rangga. He is handsome, he is also very polite. The way he talks to other people, is really typical of an ethical person. His family must have educated him very well."

Answer Grandpa.

"Grandfather would not Doctor Rangga be granddaughter-in-law grandfather?"

Ardan asked suddenly, with a mischievous smile.

"Remember.."

Arin glanced sharply.

"Haha.."

Grandpa laughed.

"Of course, who could resist the charm of a Doctor as handsome as him. I think it's just a stupid girl or a blind girl who doesn't want to be his wife. Arin, if you want to find a husband look for one like Doctor Rangga. Grandpa sure he's a good guy."

Connect Grandpa.

"No!"

Arin's father looked pias, spontaneously everyone in the room turned to him including Arin.

"Ehm, that means Dad won't refuse if he's Dad's son-in-law."

Said Mr. Malik while rubbing his nose.

"Nah Rin, you've got the green light from Grandpa and Dad."

Said Ardan while laughing mischievously.

"Remember..."

Arin claws at Ardan's stomach in shame.

Mr. Malik came out of the patient room with a face that still looked pias, whether his family realized or did not react a moment ago.

Mr. Malik walked down the aisle of the hospital, until he finally chose to sit on one of the park chairs.

"Sorry, can I sit here?"

A young man approached Malik.

"Please, this is a public place anyway."

Malik replied without seeing who greeted him.

"Sounds like you're thinking a lot?"

Mr. Malik turned to look at the person beside him.

A young man in his twenties with a casually smiling appearance bared his white teeth.

"Doctor Rangga.."

"Where is Grandpa Jailani Pak's condition?"

Ask Rangga.

"Alhamdulillah, I've been transferred to the inpatient room now. By the way, thanks for last night the doctor took the time to visit him."

"Just call Rangga aja Pak, I am still on sabbatical because I am continuing S3. But since Grandpa Jailani was my patient from the beginning, God willing I will remain in charge until Grandpa recovers. I'm still on semester break anyway, and I've asked the head of the Hospital for permission to take care of Grandpa Jailani."

Reply Rangga.

"All right, Rangga boy. I'm really grateful for that."

Said Mr. Malik.

"Sir Malik, can we talk?"

Ask Rangga with a serious look.

"Have we not spoken since?"

Answer Malik lightly.

"I mean, very serious talk."

Mr. malik frowned.

"What serious talk? Does this have anything to do with my father's illness?"

Mr. Malik seemed very curious.

"No, it's not about that at all. But, this has to do with my future."

Reply Rangga.

"Why your future?"

Mr. Malik looked confused.

Mr. Malik's face looked increasingly pias.

"I know it's presumptuous, and I'm really sorry for saying it at the wrong time, but I really wish you'd let me get close to Arin."

"No!"

Answer Mr. Malik. His face is getting bigger.

"I beg you sir.."

Rangga clenched both hands, with a very pleading face.

"Doctor Rangga, I think our conversation is over here."

Mr. Malik moved from his place, leaving Rangga who looked confused.

"My father refused? Well, it looks like you have to fight hard to melt his heart."

Ardan said as he met Rangga in the hospital cafeteria.

"Yes, it's my fault too. Mr. Malik just knew me, it was only natural that he refused. No father wants to let go of his favorite daughter for a random man."

Reply Rangga.

"But be calm, I'll help you."

Ardan looks like a sumringah.

"Thank You."

"Oh yeah, but you're really single, right?"

Asked Ardan with a probing look.

"Single Mas, for God's sake. If you don't believe me, you can ask anyone who knows me in this hospital. If necessary I'll take Mas to meet my family."

Reply Rangga confidently.

"All right, I believe you."

Ardan replied with a small smile.

-----------------------

"I know it's presumptuous, and I'm really sorry for saying it at the wrong time, but I really wish you'd let me get close to Arin."

Rangga's words were recorded clearly in Mr. Malik's mind.

Of course, he really hopes that Arin will find the best man to be his life companion.

But he cannot forget the events of a few years ago, when Arin had to feel pain disappointed because of an unapproved relationship.

In front of many people, he looked like a father who did not care about his children. But actually, she knew exactly what was happening to her children.

No father would ever watch his daughter get hurt.

"Malik, what are you thinking?"

His mother asked when she saw Mr. Malik sitting on the sofa with his face bent.

"There's nothing ma'am."

Malik replied lying.

"Where's Arin?"

"She's going to the mosque with Yoshie."

Reply Mother.

"Malik, I'd like to talk to you for a second."

His father looked still a little weak but there was a tone of decisiveness from his voice.

His mother came out to give Mr. Malik a one-on-one talk with his father.

"What's the matter, Dad?"

Malik asked as he moved to the bench next to the patient's bed.

"Malik, I want to hear your opinion. About Doctor Rangga."

"Why with Doctor Rangga?"

Ask Mr. Malik who looks frowned.

"Do you think she deserves to be Arin's companion?"

Mr. Malik was very surprised by his father's question.

He was silent for a long time, seeming to be thinking of something."

"Malik, what's your answer?"

Ask Dad.

Mr. Malik took a deep breath.

"Look Dad, I admit Doctor Rangga is a good man. But we have to judge it with jelly. He's a young Doctor, he's handsome and rich. There might be a lot of girls around. Plus with his family, we just got to know him and we don't know what his background is."

Answer Mr. Malik.

"But I like him, I'm sure he's a good, honest man. I'd really like to have a grand daughter-in-law like her."

Said Father.

Mr. Malik just fell silent, unable to say anything more.
