One day after surgery..
That afternoon Rangga deliberately visited the hospital to visit Grandpa Jailani, a patient who had just been in surgery a day ago.
Before going to Hospital Rangga took the time to stop by the fruit shop to buy fruit hands to give to Grandpa Arin.
"It is important that the effort first, the result matter, be God's business."
Rangga.
The man was walking through the hospital hallway, and occasionally greeted the Doctor or nurse who passed him.
Until finally he almost arrived in front of the NICCU room which was going on a little commotion.
Arin is being forcibly pulled by two men and a woman whose face is covered with a mask, while Ardan and his wife and father are trying to hold Arin. I don't know what happened, but of course Rangga can not stay silent to see it.
"I'm sorry, Mom and Dad, please don't make a fuss in the hospital. Because it's very disturbing to other patients."
Rangga tried to mediate, even though he did not know what was going on.
"Doctor, please.."
Spontaneously Arin immediately took refuge behind Rangga.
"Don't interfere, or I'll report you. It's my problem with them, it has nothing to do with you!"
Threaten the woman who is still trying to pull Arin's wrist.
"I don't have any business with your problems, but if they cause a commotion in the hospital it's definitely my business too. You'd better leave now, or I'll call security to expel you and Mom."
Firm Rangga.
Feeling embarrassed because it became a spectacle for many people even until someone took it through a cellphone camera, finally the woman and two men immediately left.
"That you're okay?"
Asked Rangga as soon as the three people left.
"Thank God I'm okay Doc. Thanks a lot Doc."
Arin replied while holding onto her wrist which looked slightly bruised.
"Doctor, thank you for helping my son."
Said Mr. Malik.
"Sama-sama Sir. The most important thing is that Arin is safe."
Reply Rangga.
Yoshie grabbed Arin's wrist which looked red and bruised.
"It is better to be compressed with warm water. Wait a minute, let me ask the nurse to bring you a warm compress."
Then Rangga called a nurse who happened to pass in front of them and asked him to bring a warm water compress to treat Arin's wrist.
-----------
"I'm sorry Doc, I'm troubling the doctor again."
Arin said as Yoshie compressed her wrist in Rangga's room.
"Please call Rangga. But if I can figure out, who were those guys?"
Ask Rangga.
Arin sighed deeply, then lowered his head.
"That woman is my mother. I don't know, I don't know if she's right, my mom or not. But ever since she made Grandpa sick to the point of being critical, to me she's no longer a mother."
"Astaghfirullah Arin, Istighfar.. You can't be like that. She's your mother anyway."
Yoshie.
"But Arin is right, baby. What kind of mother would have abandoned her child for years, and now she's just fussing over custody."
Cut Ardan.
Rangga who heard their talk felt a little awkward, because he realized he had no right to interfere with other people's problems.
"I apologize in advance Mas Ardan, and Arin.. Not that I intended to interfere, but what Ms. Yoshie said was also not wrong. As bad as anything, she's Mas Ardan and Arin's mom."
Rangga.
"It's just Arin, not me."
Replied Ardan with a blank look.
"Sorry Rangga, we'd better talk somewhere else."
Her speech.
"What happened to you?"
Rangga asked after they sat on one of the hospital's garden benches.
"Mother Arin. He's the one who's causing grandfather to get sick like this. Even he also caused grandfather's condition to be critical."
"Mother Arin?"
Rangga increasingly did not understand.
"Iya Rangga, Arin's mother. I mean, we're brothers but not siblings. I'm just an adopted child. Mom and Dad divorced when we were kids. At that time Arin did not understand the meaning of divorce. But, I'm old enough to understand."
Replied Ardan while looking down.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend.."
"What's wrong, that's the truth Rangga. I'm just an adopted child. Actually, I only found out yesterday. My own mother said it. He intended to take Arin with him, which is why Grandpa was so shocked that he had a heart attack. And because Arin refused to come with him, he paid the two men to take Arin by force. He's even preparing a lawyer to take the case to the legal track and demand Dad return Arin to him."
Answer Ardan.
"If the situation is like that, Father and Arin have the same rights and should be able to sue back. Moreover, Arin's age is also an adult. And legally Arin has the right to make his own choices."
"The problem is not that simple Rangga. Arin's not Dad's son. And legally I don't have the right to arrest Arin."
Rangga was stunned, trying to digest Ardan's speech intent.
"Pity Arin, he's very distressed by reality. I'm an adopted child, and I don't know who or where my parents are. Whether they live or not, I don't know. I never knew. But Arin.. People know their mother well. Often wara-wiri on the glass screen and already poor transverse in the world of entertainment. But his mother, in fact, never admitted him in public. Even to meet her, Arin must be a cat and as much as possible avoid the spotlight of the media."
"Then, does Arin know that he's not Mr. Malik's real son?"
Rangga asked hesitantly, afraid that his question offended Ardan.
"Not yet. Arin only found out yesterday but only to the extent that he's not Dad's real son. Her mother hasn't explained the truth to Arin. But, I've known about it for a long time. I used to hear Dad and Mom talk before they split up, about Arin."
"Sorry Mas, I don't intend to interfere with Mas Ardan and Arin's family matters. But if Mas Ardan and Arin need legal help, I happen to have very professional lawyer acquaintances. Mas Ardan and Arin can consult legal matters with him."
"Thank you Rangga, but we don't want to trouble you any further. It would be difficult if you were also dragged into this matter. Because Arin's mother and biological father are not ordinary people. They're influential people, I'm afraid that later you'll also have trouble because of them."
Rangga was silent for a moment, while thinking.
"Mas Ardan, may I marry Arin? I know it's not a good time, but I just want to protect her."
The sentence just came out of Rangga's mouth without him noticing.
Ardan looked surprised by Rangga's words, he was even speechless.
