An Unhealthy Relationship

It's been a few days that David hasn't come home, he doesn't know what Alana's doing. David returns home to his grandmother, although his relationship with his father and his father's second wife is not good but he prefers to be there for a few days.

Veronica is thrilled that her birthday will be held tomorrow and her birthday will be held at a luxury hotel. It was a gift from Grandma David. Veronica invites all her best friends and the daughters of the average official to know Alana first. She wanted to show everyone that Ellen Douglas loved her and let people know she was David's future wife.

That morning, David was having breakfast with his grandmother and father. Not only them, his father's new wife and Veronica also had breakfast together. The frequent Veronica is already familiar with David's stepmother. They're talking about Veronica's birthday tomorrow, except for David. He was lazy to hear that stale talk.

"How, David. You're coming tomorrow, aren't you?" ask grandma.

"Let's go, I'm lazy!" david answered with a snide.

"What do you mean, David. Does that mean you won't come?" ask Veronica.

"Without me your birthday party wouldn't it still go on? So don't act like your birthday can't go smoothly if there's no me!"

"David!" the grandmother tapped the cane on the floor and looked at her grandson with an unhappy look.

"Don't talk like that to Veronica!" said again.

"Don't overdo it, Grandma. Veronica is indeed my best friend, she is also not your granddaughter but you guys are so overrated!"

"Be quiet, I love Veronica and I like her more than that poor girl!" her grandmother shouted angry.

"Enough! Alana has nothing to do with our conversation so don't take her!" so shouted David.

"Shut up!" david's father hit the table and looked angry.

Veronica looked down and was crying. Ellen looked upset, while her father was already so angry that his wife had to calm her husband's emotions.

"You guys talk about her birthday all day until it makes me sick. You asked me to come and I told you I would come later but you still asked me the same thing. Am I a senile person who should always be reminded?" David was really upset. He is dizzy about his relationship with Alana who is not good but they actually make him more headaches.

"It's not so, David. Grandma just wanted to make sure so don't get mad like that" Veronica said.

"No need for sweet-ass, you're the same. Why don't you go home? Don't you have a house so you have to stay here every day?" because of her scathing remarks, Veronica was ashamed of being amazing.

"David!" Ellen again shouted, "I asked Veronica to accompany me so you don't have to speak such cruelty!" said the grandmother.

"I want to go home. Grandma!" Veronica moved on, she was really embarrassed.

"No need, David does always talk spicy like that so don't take heart!" said the grandmother.

"But, Grandma?" Veronica pretends to be hesitant when she's glad David's grandmother held her back.

"It's okay, you know he's always been like that before, so don't take it personally now."

"Every time you come home, you always make a fuss!" said David's father.

"I won't be going home again!" david said as he moved.

"What's up, I don't think we have anything to talk about!" said David cynically.

"Some, I heard you hired Angelo's daughter and let her stay at your house. Are you crazy to do that? Did you forget what Angelo did to us?"

"Of course I don't forget, I'll never forget let alone because of that you left my sick mother for another woman!"

"Shut up, don't take that matter anymore!" his father shouted in anger.

"If so don't interfere with what I'm doing!" after saying that, David left. He'd better go to the office. It is an unhealthy relationship between them.

"David, don't let you not come!" yell at his grandmother again.

David doesn't care, he's lazy to be among his family because they never support what he does. After all he would have preferred they didn't interfere but Veronica had really already taken their hearts all so they were so supportive of Veronica. Whatever they want to do, he doesn't care.

"How about it, Grandma. Looks like David won't come" said Veronica.

"He's definitely coming, no need to worry. David was like that, he spoke at will so that his words sounded hurtful but he was not like that. It's like you just knew him so you don't have to worry" said his grandmother.

"Is it true that Angelo's daughter is living with him?" ask David's father.

"We don't have to interfere in this matter. David already hates us, lest he hate us even more!" said Ellen.

"Grandma, you know I like David but it seems like David only thinks of me as his best friend. Can grandma help me?" veronica Pinta.

"What do you want, Veronica? Grandma will help you."

"Thank you, Grandma. I know you're the best!" Veronica smiled. On the eve of his birthday party, David must be his.

After his grandmother's house, David intends to go to the office but he undoes it. He was in front of his house right now but he was in the car and did not ask the driver to take him inside. David looked at his own house in the car.

What the hell is he doing? Why won't he come in?  Is he avoiding Alana or does he not want to see her again? If so, wouldn't he be able to drive Alana away and let her go with Stanley?

Oh.. It could have been that girl had left with Stanley because she hadn't been home in the past few days. Good, really good. He'll wait for Alana to come see him to pay his entire debt. After that he did not want to care anymore with Alana but unfortunately what he was thinking right now was wrong.

Alana really worked well, there was no penalty in the future. He did not want his debt to accumulate even more so he was determined to pay off his debt using money from his own efforts.

Alana was keeping some of the dollar bills she got from the side job she had just been working on for two days. Maria invites him to work at the bar as a waiters. Salaries are quite high and tips obtained from visitors are quite tempting. Alana also agreed especially working hours starting from eight pm to two in the morning. That's what she wanted, a side job that didn't interfere with her working hours as a waitress in David's house. Because he had the keys to the house so he could leave and return secretly.

A sweet smile adorned his face looking at the money sheet that was inside the box. In just two days he was getting hundreds of dollars in tips from good visitors. Hopefully he can collect more money even though his rest time should be reduced a lot.

"You can do it, Alana!" he said to himself. Alana stepped towards the window, looking surprised when she saw David's car outside but not inside. Is the guy back? Alana was still watching as the man's car. Now that he stepped towards the door, hopefully the man had come back because there was something he wanted to talk about. He also wanted to tell David about his side job but unfortunately, the man wasn't anywhere.

Alana walked back to the room feeling disappointed, never mind. David already hated himself so what else should he expect? After all they had an unhealthy relationship all along so it was better for him to focus on working to pay off all his debts.
