Destruction of the Village

Arriving at West Hill Peak, Leo and Lucky laughed at Dante who was sitting while grilling cassava. They knew Dante wasn't the one who had the initiative to do something if nobody told him to. It makes Leo and Lucky feel amused.

" Why are you laughing? You guys laughing at me?" dante said cynically.

" Dante..Dante.. Just this time I saw you understanding your friends. I was so moved to see him.hahaha.." said Leo while laughing.

" I'm guessing you guys must be laughing at me. Why, if you don't like it already. Let me eat all these burnt cassava I'm burning. You burn it yourself."

" No offense.. We're actually proud of you. Don't get me wrong." said Lucky, patting Dante on the shoulder.

" I'm not offended.. I know you must be laughing at what I'm doing right now. Never mind, don't talk about me. Still warm, mending you eat."

" Come... I'm hungry too." said Leo then quickly picked up the burnt cassava that had been served.

At ten o'clock in the evening, Leo, Dante and Lucky descend the Hill. They were preparing to burn down the houses.

" Let's see the biggest fireworks show in the world. Hahaha.." said Lucky while staggering because he drank too much.

" Lucky.. You better not have to come along. You're already drunk. Your path staggered. I'm afraid you'll burn down along with the house you want to burn." Leo asked to remind Lucky.

" Right, Lucky.. You better stay awake here. It'll be safer for you" Dante said.

" You don't have to worry about me. I can keep my balance. Didn't we agree to start together tonight. Why are you banning me."

" That's not what it means, Lucky. Look at your situation. We're just worried about you." said Dante.

" I told you I'm okay. Don't worry about me."

" Yes if you're okay. Let's start burning those people's houses!" exclaimed Leo then immediately poured gasoline into the homes of residents.

It takes time for them to flush all the houses. For half an hour they started the fire. Quickly propagate the fire up to *****all citizens' homes.

" Haha... Your house will now be dust! And this place will be the ruler of the King of evil." cried Lucky because he was so happy for his victory.

The fire soared high up the hill. The sky became dark. Thick smoke enveloped the Hill area. This smoke moved up to the East Hill and spread to parts of the city north of the West Hill Peak.

" Reza and his friends eventually lost. My village they destroyed. You are savages!" said Harjo who had previously chosen to leave the village, along with Khalid and set up a small hut, in the forest south of Puncak Bukit Timur.

" Grandfather.. Then what about our lives? Are all the people who survived there dead?" khalid asked Harjo while looking at the fire that engulfed the entire building in the village.

" For a while, we'll stay here. You go with Grandpa. You don't have anyone anymore, do you?"

" Yes, Cake.. I lived a long time after my mother died. Uncle Bono took me to the village. I chose to stay in the village because the atmosphere was comfortable. Even though I'm alone, I'm glad I'm used to it."

" If Nak Bono had known about this, surely something like this would never have happened" Harjo said in a hoarse tone. Slowly tears flowed down her cheeks.

" Cake, don't be sad. I'll always look after Grandpa. Wherever Grandpa goes, I'll come. I promise I won't trouble Grandpa. If I could, I would always help Grandpa if Grandpa was in trouble" Khalid said as he stroked Harjo's clenched hands.

" Thank you Khalid. Grandpa was happy to hear it. Grandpa has long wanted to have a little grandchild. And Grandpa now seems to have it. You're like my own grandson."

" Together, Grandpa. But I'm not Grandpa's son."

" Okay, Cake."

" Yes, it's almost late at night. Rest, tomorrow we have to get up early to buy vegetables."

" Good, Grandpa."

Khalid said to Harjo. He went straight into a small hut and slept, on a soft mattress that had been stretched out in the hut.

" Reza..how are you there? Are you all right?" murmured Harjo in heart. He hoped nothing would happen to Reza and his friends.

" Uncle Bono, Aunt Rika. I'm sorry, I can't take good care of your house. I can't fight those criminals. I promise that if I grow up, I will avenge those criminals. They have made my mother die." Khalid said in his heart and fell asleep.

" Dante, Lucky.ayo leave this place immediately. The smoke is too thick. We can run out of oxygen if we stay in this place." take Leo to Dante and Lucky who are still not satisfied with the mess they caused.

" No, Leo.. You're the one who left first. We still want to have fun in this place" Lucky said as he sipped the last beer.

" Dante, do you still want to stay here?" ask Leo.

" We better get out of here, Leo. I was also satisfied to see this place filled with flames. There's no one to stand in our way. I feel free in this world."

" Come on.we must arrive at the base immediately before the Boss arrives. He is currently abroad. He told me before he came back, we should have gotten there" Leo said.

" What?! Alright.. We better go home now. Lucky let's go." take Dante while pulling Lucky's arm.

" Why aren't you waiting for me? At least appreciate me who still wants to be in this place. Just a few more sips. Wait until the drink runs out." said Lucky with his rest.

Leo and Dante shook their heads. But they can only obey what Lucky said. Then wait until Lucky finishes the beer.

Not long after they left the village that had been ravaged. No one came to the place even though thick smoke enveloped the area.

" Lo, are we going to leave this place while the fire is still raging? What if this fire burns down forests and other places? Pity those affected." said Lucky as they left the place.

" What are you saying, Lucky? You feel sorry for people? Is your conscience still alive? Lucky's.. I don't want you to be the same fate as Reza. Ever since he felt sorry for people, and finally he died at our hands. Are you going to suffer the same fate as Reza?" said Dante who was not happy with Lucky's words.

" Even though I'm a criminal, I still have a conscience. Don't match me with you, Dante. And don't ever equate me with Reza."

" Your pity is a bad seed for our cohesiveness, Lucky. If we have gone too far like this, we do not need to think about what the consequences will be. You'll end up with the same fate as Reza."

"So if I still have pity, and if I'm going to do what Reza did, are you going to kill me?"

" That's for sure, Lucky! You don't have to ask anymore!"

" Braziest! I'll never let you, Dante!" lucky said as he pulled Dante's shirt.

" Not fight! Are you no longer able to hold back your emotions? From the beginning we came here, with the same feeling. When you're done, why aren't you in line?! This is not the time to take a root!"

With the debate caused by Lucky and Dante make them fight each other. But Leo swiftly injured them, so they did not have time to fight physically. It didn't take long for Lucky and Dante to stop fighting. After they made peace with each other, they left the West Hill Peak Slope Village which was already charred by fire.
