SUFFERING AND SOLITUDE CHAPTER 1

Silence enveloped Tanu's house, which now lives in its ruins. There is no activity around it. Unlike a few days ago when Tanu and his family were still alive. Every morning there must be activity from the residents of the house.

There was no music, no crying, no more slicing onions, no more people going in and out on the porch.

Now all that is left is the silence and the languishing condition of the houses built with the results of their efforts.

Behind Tanu's house there is a large hill that rises to the top. The hill is called the East Hill. At the foot of the hill just behind Tanu's house is a secret house owned by Tanu. And when a group of people began to arrive, Tama had not previously slept. He came out the back door and hid in his father's secret house. And when the fire broke out, he could only see and cry over all the memories of his family, which were destroyed just burning.

He looked at his house which had now changed. All wet. There's not a single thing left. Even all of his toys are on fire. Then he remembered his loyal friends. Walking half-run, he headed towards the front yard. His eyes were fixed on a fish pond in the corner of his house.

Until noon, Tama still sat looking at the fish. Unknowingly, he had sown a lot of fish food into the pond until the water in the pond was covered by fish food.

" My fish, finish your food. Maybe I'm not coming back here. I'm gonna find a new friend who can talk to me."

After talking to the fish, Tama stood up. He hoped that the food would be enough to keep the fish full for some time.

He also tried to move his legs leaving the fish pond. There are three streets in front of his yard. This time he walked down a path he had never walked. Because the other two roads in front of his house were to go up the hill and the other one to the highway.

" I already know where those two roads lead. The one headed up the hill. And the other one, heading in the direction of last night's villain. I don't want to meet them. I'm just going this way. Hopefully I can make friends." Tama muttered inwardly.

He also stepped his tiny feet towards the shortcut towards the city. With hope, he quickly stepped on his feet to meet new friends soon.

Up to approximately three hundred meters of walking, Tama felt fatigue. Breath gasping. Stomach rumbling.

" Mom, Daddy.. Where I'm going to walk. I didn't find anyone in this place. Where are the people?" luh Tama while sitting on a rock that is large enough, and then kneading her legs gently.

" Will those waters come down from up there again? I don't want to, I'm afraid of that voice." Tama complained again.

Shortly after, the rain began to fall. Lucky Tama get shelter under the grove of banana trees. And on top there is also a large tree that has very thick leaves. Although the rain is very heavy though, Tama's body is still protected by banana leaves on it.

" Thank you leaves.. You want to protect me from the cold water. But I'm hungry." said Tama while holding her stomach that looks deflated.

Maybe God still gives him protection, Tama gets luck from the shelter. He saw a ripe banana beside him in shade. The heavy burden of the banana makes the banana tree unable to hold it. And the tree fell to the ground.
