Accompany Me with Hijrah

Accompany Me with Hijrah
A DIFFERENT REGRET

The rain suddenly flushed the city of Surabaya this afternoon. Not too heavy but enough to make wet if reckless to break through it. The cold afternoon was as cold as Kinar and Malik. In their room, Kinar was sitting leaning on their bed. His condition is still weak after the surgical removal of the uterus due to miscarriage. While Malik quietly stood beside the glass window of his room staring at the rain with sadness. Sometimes he sees the cell phone he is holding.

His eyes looked out the window of his room. His heart riled because there was no reply from Zarra. It was almost 4 hours ago that he sent whatsapp messages. But only the blue tick mark has been read from Zarra. There was no reply even one emoticon or one letter. Her heart ached, as quickly as Zarra moved on from her. He knows he's wrong. But Zarra will always forgive him. Moreover, Kinar is his best friend. Yes, that was his thought before taking all these decisions.

Now, there was a hint of regret seeping in his heart. Zarra won't come back to him. No more dreams of living with him. He looked up and looked at Kinar Sayu. Quietly, the woman had also stolen his attention since he decided to emigrate. He remembers when his parents brought the two of them together to be betrothed. There was a sense of unease, clumsiness and guilt towards Zarra. For the sake of his mother's wishes, Malik married Kinar. Compared to his guilt for Zarra, he felt more guilty towards Kinar.

Initially when Kinar asked him to marry Zarra as well to atone for their guilt, he disagreed. For he would not be able to be fair if his second wife was Zarra. However, now they are faced with the fact that Kinar cannot give him offspring. His family expects his descendants. He didn't know how to tell his family, especially his mother. Kinar requests that Malik meet Zarra and tell her of their condition. However, Zarra still did not want to go back to his side. His heart was completely muddled at this moment.

"Malik," call Kinar softly. His voice sounded weak. Malik looked over and smiled at Kinar. Kinar gestured for Malik to approach, patting his bed. Malik walked over and sat down by Kinar's side. Kinar looked at her husband with a faint smile. His face was still a little pale. Malik smiled sadly.

"I'm sorry?" said Kinar. Her tears slowly flowed down her cheeks. Malik. He held the hand of Kinar.

"No. I should be the one apologizing. I put you in this position. I made you like this" said Malik. Her tears fell.

"Zarra is still a big boy?" asked Kinar again. Malik quietly bowed. Kinar already knew the answer by looking at Malik's expression. "He's still angry, isn't he? He's not sorry for us, is he? I deserve this kind of karma. Maybe this could be a crime for me" continued Kinar.

"Zarra is sorry, Ki. But to be back with us is definitely not easy for him" Malik replied. Then, he recounted his meeting with Zarra some time ago. Kinar was a little surprised when he heard that Zarra had undergone ta'aruf. Usually, Zarra would tell him. But since his confession, Zarra never contacted him again. Even at the time of the annual bazaar event yesterday it seems Zarra is already happy with his life now. He saw how Zarra's friends helped him. He also regretted not being able to accompany his best friend in the process. As a friend, he was there for Zarra. But it left Zarra who was confused looking for direction at that time.

"We'll tell Mama, Ki. I don't see any other way than this. It is true, Zarra said, I should have accompanied you. It's not chasing a star away from us" Malik said. Kinar scrunched his forehead.

"Malik, but Mama's not well. Later even burdened. Chasing Zarra is my request not yours" Kinar said. Malik smiled haru. Even at a time like this, Kinar was still thinking about his mother.

"It's okay, Ki. Better to be honest now. You should also think about your own happiness. I accept you for who you are. Child problems, we can raise children. They need more of our affection than I need you" Malik said. His eyes showed sincerity. Kinar smiled haru. He cried and hugged Malik. Malik hugged her too.

"Cock on the cry, anyway?" a woman's voice shocked the two. They're looking. There's Mama Malik there. Malik walked closer to his mother.

"Mom, there's something we want to talk about" Malik said. Malik closed the door to his room. They finally talked and told me everything. Mama Malik just listened. As soon as they finished telling the story and expressing their intentions, Mama Malik slowly moved and walked out of the room. Kinar and Malik could only take a look. Kinar looked sad, but Malik calmed him down by hugging him. They took off their burdens along with the heavy rain this afternoon.

On the other side of Surabaya, the rain has subsided. Leave spots and puddles in some places. Zarra had just finished her ashar prayer. Still using his face, he stood by the window of his room. He saw the rain falling spatter soaking up the leaves around his house.

Every rain fell, many memories rose in Zarra's memory. Memories of his childhood, memories with Malik as well. There was a sense of regret in his heart that he had not been able to express until now. He did not even dare to tell anyone. He regretted having to lie to Malik about ta'aruf, the sermon and his marriage. It may be true that the saying is do'a. And now it is proven that she has a future husband. Just a few days after telling that lie to Malik.

Zarra thought that Allah did not want him to lie, so his speech was granted. But on the other hand, Zarra did not want Fahri to think that he used Fahri to prove to Malik the truth of his words the other day. Deep down, he is attracted to Fahri for his kindness. The way Fahri treats women in his house, that is what makes him receive the sermon from Fahri.

Maybe later, after they get married, he wants to be honest with Fahri. About Malik, he regretted not sympathizing with Kinar. But that doesn't mean it like that. He just wants Malik to love Kinar as he is. He wants Malik to understand that every decision has consequences.

Every regret always comes last. He regretted that he had just known the religion he had embraced from birth. However, he was grateful to be able to study and emigrate before God put him to sleep forever. He was grateful to be reunited with Ashifa and her family. Suddenly he missed his friend. During the waiting period for the wedding day, Zarra was indeed bitten by her parents. Everywhere his papa. He is not allowed to go to the house of Ashifa because Fahri is now there. In the middle of his miss, suddenly his phone rang.

- Asyifa -

How are you doing in this new sermon?

we miss you

Zarra smiled reading Asyifa's message. As if there was only an inner bond to him, Zarra's inner self was happy. He also replied to Asyifa's message.

-**Zarra -

Wa'alaikumsalam, Fa

Thank God I am good. You know I miss you guys.

- Asyifa -

Oiya, how was the trial?

- Zarra -

Thank goodness smoothly. Succeeded. It's a slight revision, but it's been passed.

- Asyifa -

Alhamdulillah

We're going to college, huh?

- Zarra -

Ja.

Thanks, Fa. Thank you for keeping me up until now

- Asyifa -

Uda, don't make us cry. Pray there! I want a njai. Do not forget njai**

Zarra smiled reading the chat of her best friend. He knew Ashifa would wipe away her tears there. Imagine that he laughed a little. He immediately took off his face and tidied it again. He wanted to help mom and Bi Asih prepare dinner.
