ABHIMANYU WORLD
Chapter II: The Memory of Rain

“Ah, rain again. Where to go to college!” my lament.

I don't have a raincoat. Especially umbrellas. I don't like to wear umbrellas. I think the umbrella is identical to women.

The rain poured out of the sky that morning. First rain in early September. The rain is always stimulating. The smell of wet soil is reminiscent of a small house in the far corners of Jombang there. I used to play rain with Pardi, around the village and play mud throwing.

In addition, rain also dismantles old memories in the brain. Once upon a time I couldn't go home because I was caught in the rain on campus. Actually not too heavy, but still wet if you want to recklessly. With some friends, I just sat around the campus corridor waiting for the rain to stop. Then it was still remembered when Lusi approached while offering his color-covered umbrella.

“With me yuk!” bargained for.

“Neventless. I was with Doni. I told him to stop by here.”

“Maybe it's still a long time Doni. It was with me. Mumpung Diana also not with me today.”

I smile. A little embarrassed walking alone with a sweet girl like her.

Ah, you Abi! You should have accepted his offer. Throw away dicks! Eh..your shame!

My little heart is wiggling.

Shame always controls the heart. Confidence is always down tens of degrees when dealing with a creature of God named woman. I just ducked. Dare to look him in the eyes.

But I finally accompanied Lusi to walk under the rain. I feel like his girlfriend, right? But I kept quiet more and more about Lusi's words about his days. Lusi is a very sweet and pleasant girl. We walked down a busy road that afternoon. The wet hair looks beautiful.

“Cieeee...!” Doni suddenly roared with his motorbike.

I bowed in shame, while Lusi was grinning without sin.

“You're embarrassed ya same way me?”

“Eh. No way!”

We parted. Lusi must continue the journey by taking an angkot to his house in the area of Gubeng Kertajaya. But I had to walk back on the path to the contract. But Lusi really understands that I will get wet if it is desperate to break through the rain. He handed me his colorful umbrella.

“Wear it! Than you get sick later,” he said.

“Nothing really! Already used to rain,” I lied.

“I have no problem you're raining. But what about your books? That's what's more important. ”

“Iya also anyway.... ”

“Udah wear the umbrella!”

I can't refuse. The vow! This time I felt even more embarrassed than walking around with Luci. This umbrella, Oh My God! I feel like a cosmetics salesman again roving around. The bright color of her umbrella, Hello Kitty, attracts a few eyes to look at. Since then, it has become paranoid to see umbrellas.

Please be patient, this is a test. I murmured in my heart.

I smiled to myself as I remembered those memories.

The rain still falls. Looks like I'm gonna be late for college.

“Yuk departs!” bring Doni.

“Come?”

“Yes it! Don't be spoiled!”

“Ya already yuk!” I have no other choice.

Doni motor speed through the rain. Wet clothes. And then tomorrow I start getting the flu.

Now the memory of the rain is a memory. Lusi's shadow and umbrella colors faded away in the wind. I myself had almost forgotten that dimpled girl. My days are being chastened with stupendous college tasks. Don't think about girls. Just thinking about myself is overwhelmed. Sometimes the bath is rare. Especially if it's a holiday. Sometimes eating is also forgetfulness. So engrossed in doing the task of drawing, did not feel the clockwork has gone. If it is like that, hydrochloric acid floods the stomach and erodes its walls. Stress and hunger are the perfect blend to create an ulcer that is quite acute. If it relapses, I feel like this world is not long away. So it could only roll around in the room holding back the pain alone.

“Bi! Bi!” andre's voice called my name.

While I moaned in the room withstanding the pain. My stomach feels like it's being sliced with a sliver.

“Lapo coen? (Why are you?- Java- )” asked Andre. He looked through my bedroom window.

“I'm not strong. Stomach hurts. My stomach relapsed!” my moans.

“Heleeh! Just make it up. Though I want to take the road to find wedang ronde in Kusuma Bangsa”

“Aduuuh! Don't know any. It's a big deal...."

“Udah is okay. I was left alone. You left alone?”

“ I'm not just either then. I have Mylanta. Will you?”

Without a second thought I nodded. At a time like this, no matter what medicine he was carrying, I obviously wanted the pain in my stomach to go away.

If fit in the village first, mother always standby turmeric in her kitchen. I think, whatever the disease, my mother always treats with turmeric grater. But it proved, we were healthy after that.

Although it looks trivial, I always appreciate the help of my friends. To me they are a second family. If I'm sick, I can't call my mom. There will be panic later.

My friends are pretty good. We complement each other's medicines in their rooms. Fortunately, we only had a mild illness. The worst thing I ever experienced when Doni had boils on his thighs. We all panicked.

“What sins do you have, Don? Until you have this big boils!” farhan.

“You guys! Dancing over the wound. This really hurts!”

“Well how do you want? Want to be called an ambulance continue to be taken to the ER?” ask Farhan again.

“Ya cariin medicine cake. No need to try!” Doni started sulking.

Andre just smiles happily at Doni's condition. I actually don't have the heart. But I'm not a doctor either. Wrong-wrong can even infection later Doni's wound.

“How to proceed?” Doni asked again.

“Udah we take to puskesmas aja deh! Ntar dead our guy's son is a suspect!” seloroh Andre's.

“Yo wis's. Anterin to Han's puskesmas! Use your bike!” I said.

“You don't have a motor!”

In short, we marched to the health center to escort Doni. In my heart, I laughed. Just got sick with boils that drove one village!

A beautiful nurse was smiling at us. Moreover, Doni's cute expression was enduring the pain.

“What pain, Mas?” ask the nurse.

“That's it, Ma'am!” timpal Farhan's.

“Udah Mbak amputation aja it!” Andre added.

“This Mbak. Suakiit bangeeet!” doni replied as if crying.

The nurse smiled. I can't help laughing anymore.

“ Good. There should be medical treatment to avoid infection. Others wait outside and can not fuss if you do not want to be injected” said the nurse.

“Mau dong injected!” Andre is in action.

Doni was taken into a room. We waited in the waiting room, joking. Duh, where was our empathy back then huh? Already know at the Puskesmas, still joking.

“Udah lairan not yet si Doni?” ask Farhan.

“Opening six at most..," replied Farhan accordingly.

I just shut up. Here's my. It seems like I have no sense of humor at all. If there is, it must be crisp. That's why sometimes people get bored with lingering with me. Though the Father always advises to change the nature of my guide. The problem is not that easy. But again I am grateful to have great friends like them.

A few minutes later, Doni came out of the examination room smiling.

“Where Don? Boy or girl her child?” ask Andre.

“Only! Pain know!”

“Emang flanked by you same nurse?” whispered Farhan.

“There deeh. Want to know!” Doni returned smiling.

“Yuk home! At one hour I have a lecture,” I said.

“Yes, let's go home. Young Master wants to go to college!” said Andre.

Young Master?

I'm not feeling good. This is also one of my bad qualities. I feel bad for others easily. Not really a bad trait. It just can't manage it well. So that sometimes brings bad consequences for me. Uh! What matters is not harming anyone.
