A HEART THAT IS STILL TRAPPED IN THE PAST

A HEART THAT IS STILL TRAPPED IN THE PAST
I'm turning into a Teacher Assistant

When I got home from school, even though my feet were still very sore I stayed in school and was not allowed to go home. Of course, this was all because of what the teacher said earlier this afternoon.

I was excited while enduring the pain in my knee.  Indira seemed worried about me, advising me to ask permission instead of continuing to be at school and waiting for the teacher to come.

I became curious because the fine arts teacher said that the school had found a new candidate to enter the painting competition between regions, I felt that today was my luck.

For a long time I had hoped that my position would be replaced by someone, no matter how the teacher recruited us from the beginning because we could draw, the teacher said that people who could draw would be easy to learn to paint.

But, I don't agree with this. I've been trying for a long time and have no skills there, we sit in a normal place waiting for the arrival of the teacher who has guided us for several weeks.

The teacher came near us, behind him were two students, who I felt were one level with us. A boy and another girl.

Teacher said, “Include them are Dian and Raka, two candidates who will follow the regional painting competition.”

I said after compiling my sentence, “Teacher, may I resign? I just got into a disaster earlier and not sure I'll be cured in a week.”

I said so while hugging my right arm, acting like my hand was in trouble when I was hit by an incident this morning on the field.

“Is it that bad? Has it been sorted?”

“...” Teacher pierced the recesses of my heart, did teacher know that I was acting right now? Then want to test me?

I shook my head, the teacher nodded then said, “Then you can be their supervisor for the next two weeks until the waste day is over.”

"!!!” The words of the teacher surprised me, I want to be free from activities like this. But why did I become their companion until the race was over?

Not aesthetic!

I sensed that those present were secretly laughing at me. I could feel it because the board curry we were using swayed, I then threw my face in the other direction, with cheeks filled with air.

And unfortunately my eyes were found with Raka's eyes on me. Raka was in the back of the class, a distance away from our classroom, due to her position behind the school cafeteria.

“Teacher you are so cruel!”  then the teacher left us.

“So what to do?”  Dian asked me, then I thought then said, “Paint just what you guys want.”

“I'm tired of plant objects or objects, what if you become our model?” Ambe asked me.

“Hah?! Me?” I asked confusedly, while staring at the three of them in turn.

“Yes, you. Let us practice painting humans.”

“...” I'm silent, this is a crazy idea. A person who is a painting model cannot move for many hours. I definitely couldn't help it, if I had to be quiet without doing anything.

“Why not use human bones in the laboratory?” Bargain me to them.

“What can we get from that imitation human bone?” Raka's voice finally sounded, I glanced at her waiting for her to speak again.

“You are right, just pose a little, or just smile with sweetness.”

My mother said that teenage skin is sensitive, and I was only 13 years old. So Mom forbade me to use face wash products that were already there at the time.

“Ella, you have to do it well? Come on..” Amber used the pitiful Chihuahua round eyes on me.

Ah, crap! I drew a saying that today is my luck. I'm really unlucky today, I've fallen in sports, been made an assistant to watch over them and now I'm a statue for the next few hours.

With a heavy heart I finally agreed to it as well, we chose to sit under a tree that was right in front of the laboratory. Today the court looked deserted because there was no basketball, so they could use it freely.

Usually excrement is done on Fridays, but for some reason the Friday schedule is moved to Thursdays. The badminton club was one of them, which moved to today.

I could see Indira playing with our club boy, I felt a hand touch my chin and change my perspective. My eyes met again with Raka Eyes, her lips seemed to smile a little deeply.

“Focus forward, if you want the result is good, I will only paint once for today,” said Raka, he was like researching my facial lines.

“Try smiling wider.”

I followed him, one of my eyebrows raised, staring confusedly at him, “What's wrong?”

“Your face follows the Japanese country beauty standard, with shaggy teeth, it's sweet when you laugh.”

Uhuk! I choked for the second time, why say it like that? My brain didn't get to the talking point 5. He continued to move his hand to the left and to the right, up and down. His face was very close to me, it was like our noses would touch when I was wrong to move, my breath felt warm.

“What do you guys do?” I heard Daren's voice, my eyes moving glancing at him holding the badminton racket and the ball. Raka also took a glance at him, then I said: “Raka is measuring my face.”

“Raka? Measuring faces? I haven't even heard you call my name in two months.”

“Iya Raka, she is one of the candidates who will be sent to school. I'm helping them, as objects of painting. You may not remember me calling your name in certain situations,”.

I saw his face change, what the hell is this?  I then heard Daren ask again; “Have you not been replaced? Why is it still here?”

“He became an assistant teacher until the race was over,” it was not me who answered, but Raka.

“You're an assistant teacher?” he asked me, and then I nodded in response.

Then, Daren noticed us again, I silently nodded a little then wanted to get away from him immediately. Daren looked different, at least from her eyes.

“Hey, when will we start?” Dian spoke, since then he and Amber have been sitting waiting for Raka to finish fixing my sitting position.

“Ya good. Ella, you just smile saka and don't move.”

“I understand, do it quickly, see the day is getting late know,” said.

Raka returned together with Dian and Amber, while I sat under the tree, staring straight at them. In silence, I moved my eyeballs towards Daren.

‘Why are you still here?’
