In the end Daren and I didn't become partners in the exculpation. I just went to practice for a while, then played for a while with Indira who I didn't know whose workers had been handed over to.
Brother Leon went to not know where it was, so it made Indira feel free and not working anymore. He came and pulled me away from Daren and his friend. We sat on the terrace right in front of the teacher's office.
At that time, the school still uses the old building, which is already a new building only the territory of the superior classroom, in front of the teacher's room not far there is a tennis table.
The sun is getting less and less because the day has started late afternoon. Indira and I sat down for a short break, after moving a lot. The drink that was given by Kak Leon earlier, was in a tennis table bag that we have not touched since.
Indira took it and drank it in a hurry, saw it drink I also felt that my throat was also starting to dry. I extended my hand to pick up the remaining bottle of drink, but someone had already reached it.
Darren,
For the umpteenth time today he's acting strange. This morning he seemed to have a good mood, after Leon's brother came his mood deteriorated. Then just now, when Leon's brother wanted to be my partner, he came and blocked us.
Now about the drink, when it was mine, Leon bought it for both of us one bottle each. Now that drink he drank until almost nothing left.
I looked at him lazily, my eyebrows furrowed and confused, I thought he realized that I was looking at him, so he turned his head, smiled widely and then said to me:
"Sorry for the drink, I'll replace it later."
"No, I'm not so thirsty."
"No, I have to change. You must be thirsty, too, since I haven't seen you drink."
I looked at him and grumbled in person, I just wanted to drink earlier, but my mineral water you've taken first, you know. Seeing that I was silent, Daren decided to go to the cafeteria.
Our school canteen is open until the afternoon, on Friday. Although it was not sold as much as this afternoon, after a few minutes passed I saw Daren return with a bottle of drink.
"This, for you." He handed me a new bottle of mineral water.
"I don't need any more, thank you. You can just give it to Kris, she hasn't had a drink I think."
I saw his face slightly bent, I felt bad so I said again to him, "Really, I don't need any more, I've had Indira's drink before."
Kris suddenly took the bottle in Daren's hand, grabbed my hand and put it in my hand and said, "Thank you, it's not good to refuse someone else's gift, anyway, Daren bought it in exchange for your mineral water..."
After a few weeks of our closeness, I realized that if Kris's mouth was opened it would be difficult to close again. So before our ears were hot I was memorizing it halfway.
"Alright, then I'll drink it later, thank you," I smiled at Daren, a glimpse of her face becoming slightly changed, he just smiled and asked Kris to play badminton again.
Three days after Friday is Monday, the flag ceremony runs normally until the first break reads. The teacher did not come out of the classroom, but waited until the door was opened by someone.
Our fine arts teacher entered the classroom and thanked the teacher who had just taught, while we waited for what our fine arts teacher would say.
The Fine Arts teacher looked at all of us, then said: "Are there any of you in this class who like to draw?"
The teacher asked, then some of our classmates started to mention two names, one of which was my name. Honestly, I like to draw, but I feel like I said that this is not going to get a good thing at the end.
"Who of you is Amber and Raphael?" Guru.seni.asked, I and Aster who happened to sit across from each other turned their heads and raised our hands.
The art teacher noticed and walked towards us, she again asked; "Are you guys really able to draw?"
We both nodded, then the teacher asked us again, "Go back to school later, you two stay a while."
After saying so, the teacher finally left our classroom, which instantly turned into a marketplace. Some classmates approached us and congratulated us.
I sighed and tidied up my desk, folded up my hands which I now made cushioning, uh I suddenly felt sleepy. I don't know what the art teacher will discuss later, but I'm sure it's a quiet race.
"Didn't you want to go to the school cafeteria?" Indira asked me.
I said lazily; "I'm sorry, I'm lazy. You can go along with maybe the others."
"No, I'll stay here with you."
"Uh, but you have to keep filling your stomach."
"Yes, I know. No need to worry, I brought some food from home today."
"Alright, I think it's good we get used to bringing lunch alone."
"Yes, I agree. We can start implementing it tomorrow, after all you also seem to always have to stay longer at school."
"Yes, I hope I don't come along."
I said so, not without reason. Because I was the first great-grandchild in my family, my mother, my aunt, my grandmother and my grandfather were always protective of me.
They would definitely be against my school-going hours, talk a little bit about my family, my dad worked as an employee at one of the out-of-town companies, right where my father's grandmother and grandfather lived.
While my mother was a treasurer at one of the vocational high schools in the city where I lived, it was because of this that we would only meet at the end of the year or mid-year when my father was on leave.
I closed my eyes, about to take a nap but failed again because Daren was back in his chair. As usual, he turned and looked at me.
"What's wrong?" he asked me.
"Nothing, I feel like today is my busiest day."
"Uhm, so you like drawing?"
"Yes, just for free time."
The lesson begins again, until finally the last lesson is finished. Classmates flocked to get out and go home, but unlike me and Amber, we headed straight to the front of the teacher's room to meet our art teacher.
The teacher said to us; "You two will be trained as one of the prospective contestants in the regional painting competition."
