That day right on Friday was a sports lesson, the gym teacher freed us after the warm-up activity was done. We are free to do any sport we want.
The girls in our class chose to play football, make no mistake though the boys game football, we played it too although not as well as the boys in general.
The boys in our class gathered on the porch of our classroom, sitting while watching our game. Some of them drank cold drinks, and others did not know what they were discussing.
Asking about me, I was in a position that rarely moved. So I just looked like I was relaxing when the ball wasn't close to our goal. Actually I also did not protest much, there were initially classmates fighting over who would attack.
And because I didn't babble, I was put in place as a goalkeeper. The girls' team didn't get a good result, not exactly our team couldn't kick the ball well.
“Hey, can you kick a ball?” Amber, as our team is holding on to me.
“Slightly, what is it?” I asked.
“Let's exchange, I'm a little tired,” he replied. I was silent for a while before nodding and swapping positions with him.
Our game started, actually I was not good at playing football, I just knew that the ball had to go through the goal so I was just aiming for the opponent's goal.
We played long enough, until a friend hit me until I fell. Violin, the girl with a rather large and contained body, though beautiful, I drank talk to her. He just apologized and left, Indira helped me up and brought me back to our class.
“Do it hurt?” Indira asked me, and I just shook my head in response.
“Your leg didn't hurt, did it? Do we check to UKS only?”
“Not need, don't worry. I'm good kok.”
“But..”.
I smiled at him, showing that I felt good. Just a little scuffed because of the soil friction. Indira was always like this, she worried about me when it was very clear that I was three months older than her.
I sat in my chair, after sports lessons it was a break. I remained in the classroom, accompanied by Indira. We usually bring our own drinking water so we don't have to queue in the canteen.
The classroom looked quiet, with only a few people left. After a few minutes, the classroom door opened, making you turn your head. As we met, I frowned and began to wonder, What is Leon in our class for?
Brother Leon came over to our table, he put Betadine, the medicine plaster on the table then smiled at us, one more question from where did Brother Leon know I was hurt?
“Thank you, ” I said and I was about to take Betadine and the medicine plaster, but before I touched someone already took it.
I raised my head so I could see Daren's grim face? I thought for a while and then realized that his seat was used by Leon's brother, his face was smiling then not long ago I felt my head being patted by him.
“I go first, you can rest until your feet heal, and again you also still just train for the regional painting competition right?”
“Yes, thank you,” I answered briefly, although impressed disrespectful because I did not call him brother, but he seemed not to care.
I silently looked at him confused, what is it?, “He came to bring medicine for Rafael, his leg was injured during the sport earlier,” Indira represented me to give an answer.
“Are you close to him? Why does he know that you still have to practice painting?”
Indira answered Daren's question again, “Of course she knows, Kak Leon is the representative of sports school.”
I don't know why, but it's safer to stop their conversation. I looked at Kris for help, but she just moved her shoulders, not caring.
From the beginning, Indira and Daren Sam did not get along, this started on the first day where Indira did not want both of them to sit in front, this is not without reason. Kris sat right in front of him, and Kris' body was large and somewhat contained.
And Daren, despite sitting in front of me, often moves left and right and looks behind me just to ask about subjects or borrow my stationery.
“Shun him in the future,” I heard Daren say so. I looked at him and frowned, “What's up?”
“Your age is young, don't date first.”
I kept quiet, and thought real and then glanced at Indira and Kris, what does that mean? We were even one year of birth, I never even thought about going out because grandma and grandpa and mom and dad said that a schoolboy's job is to learn.
Our conversation was stopped when the teacher entered the classroom, This time it was a Fine Arts lesson, the teacher who taught was a man in his 40s. This semester's material is drawing.
The teacher explained to us how to distinguish the ordinary picture book from the A3 picture book, after explaining the teacher asked us to be free to work, while he sat in a chair and watched us.
After a few minutes, I heard Daren's voice, “Can I borrow your sharpener?”
I nodded without answering because I was busy drawing Tedong. Tedong is the name of a Buffalo in Toraja, and is the best-selling livestock in my area.
“Your picture is good, What do you want to take in the future?”
“I guess, I've already answered it.”
“Ah, I remember now. You are very suitable to enter the field of architecture, see my drawings, I can not even make it properly.”
I smiled behind my lips, it felt like Daren's mood was getting better now, he had started to interfere with my learning again. I saw the teacher standing up and started walking towards us. This made me nod, intending to signal Daren to immediately turn back to his desk.
“Daren Alfonsus, did you get inspiration at your classmate's desk?” The art teacher standing in front of his desk, Daren turned his head and returned to work on his drawing duties.
Teacher then looked at me then smiled, this makes me feel a little shaky. I'm not wrong, Daren just kept looking at me.
“I heard that Ibu Nia has found two more new candidates to be participants of the painting contest area.”
I stopped moving, my eyes and Amber glanced at each other, ‘Is that right? Hey, this is good.’
