CHAPTER 31: CURRENCY

On earth, people still use money made by the state. But that was simply not the case for cultivators, in their eyes, the paper named money had no value whatsoever as well as could not help their cultivation.

Therefore, cultivators wore cultivation crystals as currency.

Crystal cultivation is a resource that is obtained through the mine, the amount is very limited and very difficult to obtain.

Why would cultivators use cultivation crystals as currency? The reason was that in the cultivation crystal there was an energy that could increase one's cultivation strength. As long as they absorbed the energy present in the crystal, cultivators could raise their strength to the next level. The usefulness of cultivation crystals was the same as cultivation medicine, but cultivation crystals did not have any restrictions. For example, an Emperor absorbs low-level cultivation crystals, because the power of an Emperor that is too strong, low-level cultivation crystals are no longer useful to him.

Looking at a cultivation medicine shop on the street, Vann came to the shop which was immediately greeted by a young male servant about 20 years old "Please come, sir! Is there anything I can help you with? Did you come here to buy or sell?".

Vann looked at the young man who had the strength of a level 5 Qi Gathering, much stronger than Vann, it seemed like the owner of this shop was not easy at all.

"I'm planning on selling the Qi Medicine, do you guys accept it?", asked Vann carefully.

"Although Medicinal Qi is only the lowest level medicine, but there are countless students from the academy around who come here every day until our stock is insufficient. As we certainly received the Qi Medicine for sale" said the waiter kindly, he did not underestimate Vann in the slightest "But such a low-grade medicine has such a low price that we will not buy it if the amount of medicine is only small, our store price is 1 low-grade crystal for every 20 Qi Medicines".

The servant did not think Vann could have that much Medicinal Qi, however the ingredients making the medicine were not cheap at all. Moreover, Vann's clothes were not luxurious in the slightest which meant that he did not have any background, how could he have so much Medicinal Qi?

But what the waiter had never thought, Vann nodded to the saying "20 Medicinal Qi for each low-level crystal, the price is the same as what Master Hasel said".

Vann put down the bag he brought to the ground and opened it, a pile of Medicinal Qi filled the bag.

"There are 80 Medicinal Qi here, you can count them" Vann said with a friendly smile.

The waiter's eyes were wide open with disbelief, some customers in the store were interested in Vann's actions.
