CHAPTER 12: LUNCH

"Mother is planning to meet me tomorrow for lunch?", asked Vann a little confused to the father sitting in front of her.

Currently Vann with his father was having dinner in the dining room together, his father nodded no matter "You yourself know that in a few weeks, your mother will be remarried. Therefore, you may never meet again after this. He already has a new son and husband in the future, the time to meet with you will be small. Vann is not surprised about her meeting her mother again, however, Vann's mother has returned to normal when Vann was 10 years old. More precisely Vann's mother has been through rehabilitation for 5 years, she has become a good mother again.

But a few months ago, Vann had heard the news his mother had met a good man and had a daughter from his previous wife. But the man's wife died about a few years ago, she had to take care of her own son.

They coincidentally met, after 2 years and felt fit, his mother decided to form a new family.

When he had a new family, Vann knew he would most likely never see his mother again.

However, his mother already has her own busy life and family to take care of, there is no time for Vann.

However, Vann did not mind. He has a father who always looks after him here, that's more than enough.

"I understand dad, then tomorrow I'll definitely meet my mom" Vann said.

Vann's father nodded, he stood up from the dinner table "He now has a new family, give my message to your mother, I hope she does not choose the wrong person again as her husband. Don't pick a monster like me".

After that, Vann's father returned to his room full of sadness.

Staring at his father's departure, Vann sighed.

Neither his father nor mother ever told Vann the reason for their separation, what Vann knew was that his mother regarded him as a monster.

Now that his mother has changed, he is friendly to Vann although Vann still finds a trace of fear in his eyes when he looks at Vann.

Tomorrow is Sunday so he doesn't have to go to school, it's a good time to meet his mother.

He opened the door of the restaurant where a waiter approached him "Master, did you come alone or with the others?".

"I came to see my mother, she should have come here" Vann explained.

Eating here makes them not to be disturbed, but instead, the cost of eating in a special room like this becomes more expensive.

Vann doesn't really care about it, not only does his father manage to become a rich man but his mother as well.

After completing her rehabilitation, Ms. Vann seems to have succeeded in making her own company that managed to become a large company in the country.

Even the man who plans to be her husband for a few more months is also not a random person, the man is the owner of many of the best companies in this country to other countries. So his wealth is in no doubt, his mother really succeeds now be it in business or build a new family.

The waiter opened the door of the room and said, "Master, your mother is waiting in the room".

Vann nodded, he walked towards the room while the waiter closed the door again and walked away from this room.

In the room, Vann found a woman about 40 years old who was already sitting on a table while waiting for him.

The woman had long brown hair, although she was quite old but there were still traces of beauty on her face that showed at a young age, this woman must be very beautiful.

Looking at the woman, a gentle smile appeared on Vann's face "Mother, good to see you healthy".

Vann's mother also smiled, but there was a trace of guilt in her smile "You're getting bigger now, besides you seem to have been practicing a lot to have a lot of muscles, Vann. Come sit down, I've ordered all the food you like".

Vann sat down in front of his mother and observed the large amount of food on the table. As his mother said, most of the food here is the food that Vann likes the most. Although they did not live together, it seems that Vann's mother still understood him very well.

"Vann, are you still angry at the mother who tried to kill you a few years ago?" said Vann's mother, looking down, he did not dare to see Vann's face directly as a result of his guilt.

Vann shook his head while smiling "Mother, I have never been angry or hated you. Moreover, it was all just the past. No matter what, my mother is still my mother, Vann is very grateful because she gave me time to meet me. After this, mom probably already has her own family so it will be very difficult to meet Vann, I hope you can live happily with the new family".

Vann's mother raised her head again, there was firmness in her eyes "Although mother did not treat you well in the past, but in the future mother will definitely try to help Vann overcome every problem. Even though mom has decided to form a new family, Vann is still a mother's son! No matter how busy mom was, I definitely made time for Vann. If there's a problem, Vann can call mom".

Vann nodded then did not speak anymore, they just started eating.

When most of the food on the table was about to run out, Mother Vann again said "I heard Vann was interested in becoming a cultivator, is that true?".
