CHAPTER 28: HASEL'S ADVICE

When Vann was busy observing the spirit of the water ball, he realized that everyone in the class was staring at him.

Vann raised his head before smiling slightly embarrassedly "Teacher Githa, it seems like I've managed to summon my spirit".

The shocked Githa also regained consciousness, she observed Vann carefully before asking "Vann, have you ever tried summoning a spirit before?".

All the students in the class listened, they wondered if Vann had succeeded because of his intelligence or if he had learned to summon spirits before.

Vann shook his head "Teacher Githa, you must have known I only became a cultivator last night. If I am not a cultivator, how can I practice summoning spirits? Besides, I don't have any prior knowledge to summon a spirit. Therefore, I was just trying to learn to summon spirits just now, it seems that I was a little lucky to be able to succeed at the earliest trial".

Githa realized Vann had indeed only become a cultivator last night, how could he learn to summon spirits if he was not a cultivator?

Githa nodded with appreciation towards Vann "Good work, I heard you have low cultivation talent, but the intelligence you have is the best. At least in this class, you are the fastest person to successfully learn spirit summoning techniques. Everyone has their own flaws and advantages, the excess intelligence of yours covers the lack of talent in cultivation! You have to work hard, I'm sure you can become a great cultivator in the future even surpassing me".

Vann nodded then smiled politely "Thank you for what you said, Guru Githa! I will try not to disappoint your expectations".

Githa nodded and clapped her hands to attract the attention of all the other disciples "You see? Vann has already managed to summon a spirit, so you guys should also move fast! My rules still haven't changed, anyone who hasn't been able to summon spirits doesn't get their lunch!".

The disciples stopped paying attention to Myro and again tried to summon the spirits again, if they did not have lunch, they must have starved so they had to successfully summon the spirits.

When everyone was again busy with their respective affairs, Vann looked back at the water ball in his hands.

Although this spirit was made of water, it did not make Vann's hand wet in the slightest.

The water ball moved from left to right, as if to show he was very happy to be with Vann.

"Waterball, do you have a name?", asked Vann curiously.

The water ball tilted its body to the side while showing the confused voice of "Kyuuuu?".

Vann immediately froze, he was not surprised because this water ball spoke but the sound of the water ball was too funny.

"Again, try talking once more!", said Vann quickly.

The water ball that didn't understand Vann's words jumped up and down a little "Kyu, Kyu".

In Vann's eyes now, this water ball that was his spirit was extremely cute. Perhaps the water ball was not a spirit that possessed great power, but at least the water ball spirit had a very comical attitude.

"Kyuro, it seems that you can't speak at all so it's a little impossible for you to have a name. You can only say kyu, therefore I decided your name from today is Kyuro! Hows it? Are you happy with the name?", said Vann as he held the top of Kyuro's head gently "Kyuro, let's help each other from now on".

"Kyu!", Kyuro answered excitedly, not knowing if he understood the name Vann gave him.

...----------------...

But during the afternoon class, Vann learned to make fire using battle energy, no longer using firewood.

At first Vann was quite a difficulty, but he only took 5 minutes before he could control the fire as best as he could.

When he could already use the fire from the battle energy, Vann tried to make the Qi Medicine again according to the theme of the afternoon class lesson of making the Qi Medicine.

This time Vann used a good medicinal ingredient, not a failed ingredient so as to make the Qi Medicine easier. At the earliest opportunity, Vann immediately managed to make the Qi Medicine like last night that Vann made 2 Gold-colored Qi Medicines.

Seeing Vann succeeding, the faces of the people in the class froze again.

Some of them had already been in the academy for 5 months or up to several years or even decades, but they had yet to succeed in making Medicinal Qi.

On the other hand Vann who had just joined the academy 2 months ago as well as being a cultivator yesterday night had already managed to make Medicinal Qi, it made many people distrustful.

Now Vann's name was already a bit famous among the normal disciples of the Wood Sword Academy, not renowned as a talented disciple, either, but the name Vann is famous as a person who has no cultivation talent but very high intelligence.

When Vann succeeded, some people surrounded him and planned to buy the Qi Medicine from Vann's hands.

Vann decided to refuse to sell it, even though there were some disciples who were taking other medicinal ingredients that were quite good or had an equivalent value to Medicinal Qi.

After all Vann still needed Medicinal Qi to increase his cultivation, how could he possibly sell the Medicinal Qi he needed to others?

The afternoon class ended, Vann walked away from the class carrying a piece of paper and a key.

The paper is a map showing the location of Vann's house in the Wood Sword Academy, while the key is the key to Vann's new home.

As Vann planned to look around his house, he met Hasel in front of the teaching building, as if Hasel had just finished teaching as well.

"Teacher Hasel, thank you! Without the kindness of the teacher, Vann would definitely not have managed to become a cultivator as quickly as he was now" said Vann gratefully, the reason for Vann's quick success was mainly in the hands of this teacher who had always been this cold.

Hasel looked at Vann a little before still speaking coldly "You succeeded not because of my help, but all that was your own hard work. There are already many students working as a cleaner before you, Foltra is the best example! I gave them the same opportunity as you did before, but they failed and decided to give up. In the end, you succeeded as a result of your own hard work".

After that Hasel was planning on walking away, but it seemed that he suddenly recalled something "In addition, I know you are indeed an expert at making Medicinal Qi through your hard work, I'm just reminding you that the more of a drug you eat, the less it will have an effect. So the 1st Qi Drug you eat has a 100% effect, when the 2nd Qi Drug then the effect drops to 95 to 90%, the effect will continue to fall with the more Medicinal Qi you eat. When it came to a certain amount, the Medicinal Qi would have no effect on you anymore".

"Therefore, you should go look for books in libraries or other places, learn to make more other cultivation medicines so that your strength continues to increase. Even in the future, you can create your own cultivation medicine shop. Different from medicine, cultivation crystals could continue to be absorbed without diminishing in effect. What was the problem was that the cultivation crystal was too precious, I myself only went once to obtain the cultivation crystal from my teacher in the past. You better not expect too much to get a cultivation crystal, you should learn to make more medicine again. If necessary, you should look for a stronger cultivation medicine".

Without waiting for Vann's reply, Hasel walked away.

Looking at the back of Hasel's body slowly moving away, Vann slightly bowed "Thank you for your advice, Teacher Hasel!".

Hasel's figure was gone when Vann saw him again.
