1000 Season Chasing Stars
CHAPTER 38

Dragon watched Luki Rafael's apartment sharply. For one week she watched Luki in and out of her apartment. After having his men tail the man who hit his car, the next day he knows everything about the man. Her name is Luki Rafael. Son of conglomerate Charles Rafael, owner of Rafael Group. It did not scare the dragon. His life was hard from childhood. Only the strong can survive.

No one knows what Dragon's real name is. She's been dumped since childhood, with no idea who her parents are. He grew up to be a violent and cruel person. Because of his cruelty, he managed to become the head thug in his place. He loved the dragon image and tattooed the entire body with it. That's when the name Dragon was born. Just saying his name, the people in his area were already terrified. No one dared to him. Until last week, when he was invited by a rich man who hit him.

A girl came out of Luki's apartment. Dragon knew the girl. Every day the girl meets Luki Rafael in her apartment. Dragon assumes the girl is Luki's boyfriend. Dragon saw the deserted streets. A good opportunity. Soon the girl will cross the road. Dragon starts his car and starts to step on the gas pedal.

Luki throws Laura's gift box without enthusiasm. Inside is a pile of cards. He took one of those cards carelessly. Actually she didn't want to see it, but Laura's tears made her move a little. Laura has the same eye color as Papa. His gaze earlier seemed to remind Luki of the sad look of papa. So Luki decided to look at one of those cards.

Birthday cake picture card. Luki opened the card. Elamat seventh birthday. Luki, sorry aunt can't be with you. Auntie wishes you were okay. This year your teeth should start to date, right? A visit to the dentist would be very exciting. Sure, it hurts a lot when your first tooth is removed. Aunty hopes aunty's hand can give you the strength to deal with it. Aunt misses you, Luki.

Luki's stunned. Her stepmother wrote the card for herself 25 years ago. The card has turned slightly. Curious, Luki opened one of the other cards.

#Happy seventeenth birthday, Luki. Now you're an adult. Your height must have exceeded aunt.

Is there a girl you like? I hope the girl likes you too.

Your father must have bought you a car. Be careful driving don't speed. Aunty hopes, aunty can accompany you to the car driving course.

Luki opened one more greeting card. This time the latest.

#Happy 31st birthday, Luki.

Maybe you have a wife and kids now. Auntie wishes you always loved them. Family is the most important thing in the world.

Don't spend too much time working, spend time with your family. You won't want to miss a chance with your son/daughter.

Aunty wished she could see their faces at this moment. Aunty's gonna spoil them and don't mind if you leave them to aunty.

Luki's heart was racing. He had mistaken. Her stepmother really loved her.

In front of the apartment, Laura noticed a traffic light above her head. When the lights pictured of people crossing turned green, Laura stepped forward. The sound of a car came from Laura's right. The car light shone on Laura's face, blinding her for a moment. Then Laura felt her body float up and then fell down. His right leg hurt a lot.

Before closing her eyes, Laura saw the driver of the car that hit her smiling in satisfaction. The car drove off leaving Laura lying alone.

Laura's eyes blinked slowly. The last thing he saw was the flickering of the stars in the night sky, then everything went dark.

Dragon was very satisfied. He calmly retrieved the black suit from the back of his car, then deliberately changed his appearance. He's wearing glasses. Pretending to visit someone. Dragon enters Rafael's apartment complex. He parked his car next to Luki's car then wrote something on a large piece of paper and slipped it in front of Luki's car glass.

Dragon smiled broadly. The task is done. Luki Rafael will think twice about underestimating him again.

“Corpses hit-and-run. Womens. About twenty. Right leg seriously injured.” Laura heard the voice of a woman beside her. Laura's gaze shifted to the voice. The woman next to him was wearing a white coat. Looking at Laura's open eyes, the woman approached.

“You remember your name?” Ask patiently.

“.....Lau...ra..” Laura tried to speak loudly, but her throat seemed to be suffocating.

The woman nodded. “OK, Laura. You just had an accident. You're gonna be fine. You hear?”

The woman's voice grew slower. Laura said weakly. “Ma..ma..” after that Laura passed out.

Shortly after, the female doctor next to Laura examined her, then began to give orders to one of the sisters. “His leg injury is too severe. Call Dr. Riswan now. “Suster who was ordered straight out of the check room to call Riswan's doctor.

The female doctor then exited the room, there was an old man there. “Pak, you know the patient?”

The old man nodded. “I don't know, doctor. I saw him lying on the highway. So I called an ambulance. This is the lady's bag. Sorry, doc. I still have a need. I have to go.”

The doctor told the nurse to ask for information from the father, then opened the patient's bag, took out the cellphone in it and saw the list of names of the last contact to call him. When he found the name *mama* on the list, the doctor immediately called him.

“Hello, Laura. What's up?” A woman's voice.

“Sorry, mom. I'm doctor sandra. I'm a doctor in the central hospital. Your daughter just had an accident. You better come to the hospital.”

There was a hysterical scream on the other end of the phone. “How's it going, doc? Is Laura, it okay?”

“I don't know for sure. For the time being your daughter is still being cared for.” Doctor Sandra took a slow breath. Telling bad news to the family is not one of the activities he likes. “You need to come as soon as possible to the central hospital.”

“I'll be here soon. Doctor...please...save my daughter,” voice prompts from across the phone.

“I will try, ma'am.” Doctor Sandra hung up the phone, then ordered another nurse. “Please let me know if Laura's relatives, our hit-and-run victims, come to the hospital. And please later give the patient bags to them.”

“Good, doctor,” said the nurse as she took Laura's bag from the hands of doctor Sandra.
