I watched television in the living room while sleeping on the sofa. I watch cartoons. While watching television, my phone suddenly rang. I let it go, I didn't pick it up. That's Colin. Ringingpun. But within seconds the phone rang back. I wonder, I finally picked up.
"Hello, Who?" my insistence.
"Shopie, it's me Yuni" he replied in a joyful voice.
I slammed the phone hard. I put my body back on the couch. Watching cartoons and waiting for my parents to come home. I began to think hard about how to end all this. The only hope is Marissa, that strange woman. I'll find him as soon as I can, I'll ask him to cancel my last request. Whatever I'm gonna do. If necessary, I'll clean the house for a whole month.
But where's his house? It's very mysterious. Does he have a home? What's his house like? I imagine the house must be spooky, the building must look like the houses of witches that I often see in cartoons. Large and dark with many flying bats filled the entire room. I shudder in horror.
I was also planning to transfer schools to my grandmother's place when I went to class, so Yuni would lose track of me. There's no way he's moving in with me. If Yuni is still like that, I will do that plan.
I know it's hard, Dad and my mom would ask me what my reasons are. Even if I tell them, they don't believe me. Maybe they'll laugh at me. But I will try to persuade my parents to grant my wish. Let's see it later.
There was a sound of footsteps from above. I saw Rendy's legs one by one coming down the stairs. When he looked perfect, I got up, I took the basketball that was given to me.
I threw the ball at him. He looked surprised to receive the ball, almost he crashed into a fall due to loss of balance. But he caught the ball. The food he was carrying bounced, and I laughed at the scene. Very funny, I thought.
Rendy looks angry, her face is red. He tried to throw the ball back at me. I immediately raised my right hand and shook it in the air.
"Don't.don't!" my screams while looking intently at his eyes, while my left hand pointed to the corner of the room.
Luckily Rendy was aware of the code I gave her. He didn't throw the ball. He picked up his food from the floor and stepped into the cramped room where we played table tennis. He put the ball there.
I can't imagine if the ball was thrown and I didn't catch it. The ball will bounce wildly making the whole room crumble. In the middle room there is a glass table and flower vase, television is also a closet where to put various objects collection of my parents, there is also an aquarium. I don't know what will happen later.
Rendy appeared and sat down next to me. His face looked upset because of the incident. I immediately apologized. But he was silent.
"When are you going to love cartoons?" suddenly he asked me. His hands were busy opening the food he was carrying.
"Why a cartoon? Is something wrong?" my protest. I saw him put his food in his mouth.
Rendy looked at me, "That cartoon movie has no benefit, you better watch the newscast".
"What's the news?" my spoken.
"But I don't want to know what's going on out there." I answered that whole. "Why are you always so busy taking care of me? I never cared about your business."
Rendy did not answer. He pushed his food to me, and I took it. My mom and dad always taught us to share. And we followed his words.
"How's your basketball game going?" Rendy changed the subject.
"Daddy" I replied briefly.
"Win or lose?"
"Lose," I said. My mouth was full of food as I answered her question.
"I already know the answer, your basketball team must have lost, '" said Rendy.
I snorted in annoyance, "If you already know, why are you asking me, huh!"
Rendy took the television remote and turned it off. I'm trying to get the remote back. But he immediately hid behind a couch cushion.
"Remember Mom's message, we can't watch television from six to nine at night" she said. "You remember that message, don't you, Shop"
I was lazy to argue with Rendy, her words were right. The clock was 06:15 p.m., when I heard my father's car horn. I ran forward to open the gate, Rendy followed me behind.
"Help your mom with the groceries, hurry!" my father ordered him when he got out of the car.
I saw that I had a hard time carrying a lot of groceries, I think he finished shopping for necessities this month. I helped bring some of her shopping.
"You open the trunk, Ren." I heard you ruled Rendy. "There's still some groceries, you get them inside, right away!"
I brought the groceries straight to the kitchen, which was followed by Rendy.
"Put down on the table, keep tidying up too" I ordered. "Set everything in your usual place to store the groceries"
I didn't mean to tell her, I just teased her. But Rendy reacted immediately, taking the napkin and throwing it at me. I moved quickly away, so the napkin didn't hit me. Before Rendy took back the napkin, I immediately ran into the living room.
