Your mouth Harimau
All Because of Yuni

Yuni Bonita accidentally tripped me during math class. I saw his white shoes stuck out between the benches.

Too late..!!

I'm taking my notebook to the blackboard because I'm going to do something. My eyes stared at the chicken claw writing on my notebook. My writing is not neat. I could not stop when I saw the white shoes. I tripped and fell on the floor, landing resting on my elbows and knees.

All the papers flew from my notebook and scattered everywhere. The whole class found the incident funny. Everyone laughed and cheered as I struggled to get up. Yuni and her close friend Anna Clarissa, laughed the loudest.

I landed at the end of the elbow and the pain felt all over the body. I know my face must be as red as a tomato when I wake up and pick up a notebook.

"Great move, Shop!" anna shouted, she smiled widely.

"Good!" yell at someone

I turned a glance and saw a satisfied glint in Yuni's eyes.

I was the tallest girl in my class. I'm taller than Colin Edward, but he's the tallest boy. I'm also the most clumsy kid that's ever been on this earth. I mean, even though I'm tall and slim, that doesn't mean I'm graceful. Believe me, I am not at all graceful. But, why do people always laugh if I fall tripping over a trash can or dropping food during rest hours or tripping over people's feet during math lessons ?

Yuni and Anna are evil, that's all.

I know they secretly nicknamed me "stork". Colin told me. And Yuni always made fun of my name, she purposely added the word "bird" behind my name to 'Shopie Wilonna Bird'

"Fly the bird!" That's what he always told me. At most he and Anna laughed as if that was the funniest joke they had ever heard. "Fly there Bird!"

Ha-has. Not funny.

I think Colin was just trying to please me and it didn't work out at all. I gathered all my papers and stuffed them into the notebook again.

Selvie's mother asked me "is I okay!"

I muttered "i'm okay, even though my elbow was throbbing pain instead of playing. I'll just write the matter on the board.

When I started to write the chalk squeaked, everyone groaned and groaned. Well, how else. Every time I write on the chalkboard it's always squeaking. People shouldn't have to make a fuss like that !!

I heard Yuni whispering about me to Anna, but I couldn't hear what she whispered. I looked over and saw them sneering and grinning. And worse, I can't do anything about it. Something went wrong and I don't know which one.

Ms. Selvie stepped behind me, her skinny arms folded in front of her tacky light green shirt. Her lips twitched as she looked at my work, trying to see where I was wrong.

And of course Yuni raised a hand and then called out.

"I know it's wrong, Mom. Shopie can't add four plus two to six, not five."

I feel like my face is red again. Somehow it would have been my fate if no Yuni had pointed out my mistake in front of the classmates. Everyone laughed again. Even Miss Selvie found it funny. And I was forced to stand up, resignedly accepting such ridicule. Shopie, the dumbest kid in the class.

My hands were shaking and sweating as I erased my mistakes and wrote down the correct numbers. I was so angry at Yuni and at myself. But I tried to calm down as I walked cautiously towards my seat. I didn't even glance at Yuni when I passed her.
