Half an hour was Anjani sitting pensively at one of the restaurant tables. There have been almost two bottles of mineral water that he spent and until now Andrew has not been seen the trunk of his nose. Though the man had told Anjani to come on time, but apparently, the man who broke his promise.
Anjani is still trying to be patient. He ignored every pair of eyes that looked at him strangely and smiled as if mocking his wait. Maybe they ask, what is the statue of Borobudur sitting here? It's impossible just to drink mineral water that he can buy at a roadside stall, right?
“Excuse me Brother, maybe you want to order now?” A waiter approached Anjani for the fourth time. Anjani's existence is not clear, may be detrimental to the restaurant that is in demand among this respected. He should have ordered from earlier, finished his meal and left a table that could be filled by other visitors.
“Em, soon Ma'am. I tried to call my husband first. Fear he is still long or is prevented from coming.” Although feeling bad, Anjani again buy time.
“Oh well Brother. If you want to order, you can call me.” Luckily the waiter understood and remained nice to her.
“Good, thank you.”
Anjani rubbed his stomach which had sounded asking in the contents. He pulled out his phone and called Andrew. She had sent several messages to her husband, but none were answered. Not even read.
“Hopefully this time in read.” Anjani braced her mentality first before sending a message to Andrew.
“Mas, what's the work still much? I was at the restaurant an hour ago. If you can't come, it's okay. We chat at home aja.” This is the last message Anjani sent Andrew. He stared at his phone screen uneasily, hoping that Andrew would read the message immediately and reply.
Three minutes passed, there was still no sign Andrew would return the message. With much hope Anjani ventured to call her husband. The first one was not picked up, and on the second ring he saw the man appear at the door of the restaurant.
Hah, thank goodness. Anjani can exhale with relief. He raised his hand to sign Andrew and the man approached immediately. He walked while tidying up his slightly messy hair.
“Sorry, make you wait,” said the man. He took a bottle of Anjani and immediately drank the rest until it ran out. This man seems very thirsty.
“Mas up ojek?” Anjani. He noticed Andrew's slightly messy hair, the second button and the three crossed as well as his slightly tangled suit.
“Hah, no. I just finished a meeting and came straight here. A little dizzy my head. You're pesen?” The man tried to divert the conversation. He opened the menu book while smiling at Anjani. Anjani watched her husband closely, then smiled slightly when she saw the lipstick stains near the collar of her husband's shirt.
"When I was waiting for Mas, I sent a message containing a photo of the meal menu, maybe Mas want me to order the food first." Anjani pointed at Andrew's phone in the pocket of the man's shirt.
"Oh, yeah. Hpnya I was silent, because it was again a meeting. You choose what to eat. Choose the best and most expensive." The man was being so kind to Anjani, very different from usual.
"We'll send a direct message to the servant, yes, Mas." Anjani raises her hand and Andrew doesn't mind.
A servant immediately approached and carried a small note in his hand. "Please order what?"
Andrew's question made Anjani stunned. Only this time the man she had been married to for a year called out to her with that call. Very foreign.
"Hey, let's go for it." The warm voice of the man broke Anjani's shock and instantly the woman's face flushed red. His heart was still pounding hearing that friendly call.
"I'm the same as my husband's order." Anjani closes her menu book and puts it on the table
"Drink with juice maybe? We have a special juice variant of our restaurant."
"Can." The two people answered simultaneously and both of them were compactly smiling.
"Well, just wait a minute, brother." The waiter immediately left to make an order. Andrew looked at his wife. Today the woman gave. The makeup is quite neat even though it is not as complete as Cheryl. Of course their classes are different. Cheryl is a model and Anjani is a housewife who spends a lot of time in the kitchen.
"What would you like to talk about?" Anjani dared herself to ask. Andrew smiled slightly and grabbed Anjani's hand on the table.
Almost Anjani pulled her in shock, but the man kept holding her. "I don't know where to start our conversation. Obviously, I want to apologize" the man said suddenly. Anjani was shocked to hear her husband's words.
Anjani fell silent, confused about her husband's speech. On one hand this man apologized, but on the other hand there was still a lipstick stain on his shirt. Anjani could have guessed that the stain belonged to Cheryl.
"Kok you diem anyway baby? I'm serious about the same words I said. Before coming here I even cut off my relationship with Cheryl. He was crying and cursing at me, he said he did not want to separate. But I decided to still end my relationship with that seductive woman. I realized I was wrong, I was afraid. I hope there's still a chance for me, baby." The man's words were really sweet. His eyes looked at Anjani with sadness.
Anjani's lips felt so faint even though he finally but could speak quite clearly. "But, an affair can repeat Mas. I realized I wasn't as pretty as the women I knew. Physically, I wasn't confident enough to fight for Mas with those models, including Cheryl. I must have been embarrassed to take me to places I used to visit. Anyway, I see Mas happier with Cheryl. Isn't it Mas?" Anjani asserted his doubts through the question.
"Dear, that's not it." Andrew tightened his grip on Anjani. "As I said, I realized I was wrong. I hope you still want to give us a chance. I want to fix everything. I even bought a vacation ticket for the two of us. You want to, right?" Andrew is the champion of seducing. Her sweet words made Anjani rethink.
"Jani, honey. We are both human beings who can make mistakes. Like any other human being who deserves a second chance. Wouldn't you give me that chance? I promise I'll treat you better. Protects you from insolence and all the things that make you uncomfortable. So, I beg you. Can we stay together?" Andrew seemed to mean it with his words. His eyes even look teary. Anjani's tender heart made her unable to hear Andrew's plea.
"But, I need time to think. I don't want to get hurt anymore." Anjani strives firmly with his principles. The woman stared intently at Andrew, as if she still doubted Andrew's apology.
"Yes, okay. I am so bad to you. I deserve to be left behind and I'm a very stupid husband. It doesn't matter if you still need time to think things through. But at the very least, give me a chance to fix everything. Put you in my priority. You want to think about this while accompanying me on vacation? Maybe that way, you can have other thoughts about me. Can't 'can?" Andrew clasped Anjani's hand tightly, as if he didn't want to let go.
