The next day, Joseph woke up determined to apologize to Aminah and try to restore their relationship. He felt that it was time to end that long and painful quarrel. With a heart full of regret, he prepared to face Aminah.
However, before he had a chance to talk to Aminah, there was a slow knock on their door. Joseph approached the door and opened it anxiously, and in front of him stood Aminah's mother, Siti.
Siti: (with a warm smile) "Good morning, Joseph. I'd like to visit for a minute."
Joseph was surprised and a little nervous by the unexpected arrival of Aminah's mother. However, he respectfully invited her inside the house.
Joseph: "Good morning, Miss Siti. Please come in."
They were all sitting in the living room, and the atmosphere felt a bit tense. Yusuf knew that this visit could be a good opportunity to apologize, but he also felt a little uncomfortable for not wanting to reveal too much about their personal matters in front of Aminah's mother.
Mother Siti: (with tenderness) "I know that you two are having trouble in marriage. I want to help if I can."
Joseph felt somewhat trapped, and he did not know how to answer Aminah's mother's question without revealing too much about the matter. However, he also felt overwhelmed by the kindness of Aminah's mother.
Yusuf: (with respect) "We are facing some disagreements, Ms. Siti. But we worked hard to finish it."
Mother Siti: (nodded) "It was a good move, Joseph. I just want you to know that I'm always here to support you."
Joseph was moved by the support of Aminah's mother, and he felt that this was an opportunity to apologize pending. However, he also knew that this matter would require more effort from the two of them.
Joseph: "Thank you, Miss Siti. I promise to work hard to improve our relationship."
As Aminah and Hana welcomed the arrival of Aminah's mother, the mother of Siti, into the house, the atmosphere became warmer and more loving. They talk about small things and laugh together, creating a happy moment. Hana, who was initially somewhat anxious about this unexpected visit, soon feels comfortable near her grandmother, and she tells him about school, her friends, and everything she experienced in her life.
However, as the moment of happiness unfolded, Joseph who had been preparing to leave for work entered the room. His expression looked a little nervous, as he knew that meeting with Aminah's mother would probably make the situation even more complicated.
Joseph: (with respect) "Good morning, Lady."
Mother Siti: (smiling) "Good morning, Yusuf. Thank you for this warm welcome."
Joseph tried to show courtesy and respect to Aminah's mother, but she felt a little awkward. He felt that he had to leave soon because he was going to be late for work.
Yusuf: "Sorry, Miss Siti, but I have to go to work soon. I want to apologize, because I can't linger."
Aminah looked at Joseph with anxiety in her eyes. She also wanted to make it clear that they were facing problems in their marriage, but she did not want to reveal it in front of her mother.
Aminah: (with a faint smile) "Sure, Joseph. Don't be late for work. We'll talk later."
Joseph immediately retired and left the house with mixed feelings. He felt the need to apologize to Aminah and express his regret, but he also knew that the journey to reconciliation would be a difficult task.
Meanwhile, Aminah and Aminah's mother continued their conversation, trying to keep the atmosphere warm and comfortable. They talked about many things, but Aminah was still distressed by the unresolved problems between her and Joseph.
The two of them get ready in comfortable clothes, and Hana teases her mother that she wants to pick some new clothes for herself. Aminah and Siti laughed at Hana's spirit, and they knew that shopping together would be an exciting experience.
When they arrive at the mall, the atmosphere is crowded with many visitors who also enjoy their Sundays. They start exploring various stores, looking for the items they need, as well as a few objects that can be small gifts for Hana.
Hana was so enthusiastic and excited, she looked around various toys at the toy store, while continuing to ask her mother if she could buy a toy or two. Aminah smiled and explained to him that they would only buy what they really needed, but Hana happily understood and accepted the explanation.
Mother, too, found some of the items she needed, and they scoured clothing stores, home furnishings, and even bookstores. They spend several hours in the mall, filling their shopping cart with various items.
When it came to lunch time, they decided to eat at the restaurant inside the mall. They order delicious dishes and talk about various things, including their family memories. Hana tells her school experience, Siti's mother shares stories about Aminah's childhood, and Aminah feels very happy to be with her loved ones.
While eating lunch at the restaurant, Aminah, Hana, and Siti's mother accidentally meet Farhan again. They saw him sitting at one of the same restaurant tables, and instantly, an awkward feeling began to appear.
Farhan: (with smile) "Hi, Aminah. How are you?"
Aminah felt surprised and a little awkward by the coincidence of this meeting. However, he tried to maintain a polite attitude.
Medina: "Hi, Farhan. We're fine, thank you."
Farhan: (looking towards Hana) "This is Hana, right? You're getting bigger."
Hana smiled shyly and nodded, feeling somewhat nervous by Farhan's attention.
Hannah: "Yes, Sir . I'm in second grade now."
Farhan: "Well, that's great! You must be very good at school."
They continued the awkward conversation for a moment, and Aminah tried to keep Hana's innocence in this situation. However, he felt somewhat worried about this meeting and how Joseph would react if he found out.
Farhan: (relaxedly) "Alright, I don't want to interrupt your lunch any longer. See you, yeah."
Farhan got up from his desk and walked out of the restaurant, leaving Aminah, Hana, and Siti's mother in a situation filled with questions.
As they sat back at the dining table, after a sudden meeting with Farhan at the restaurant, Hana could not help but feel the curiosity that was within her.
Hana: "Mommy, who was Father ?"
Aminah was tense at Hana's question, and she tried to give as simple an explanation as possible, without revealing too many details.
Aminah: "that's Mr. Farhan, he's someone you used to know, dear. But now we're just meeting by chance here."
