Joseph, who had left the cafe and was on his way home, suddenly felt something was missing. It feels like something is wrong. He searched around in his pocket, in my bag, and around, but it was all for nothing. His mind became even more panicked when he realized that his phone was left behind in the cafe.
His mind began to drift into all sorts of bad possibilities. What if the phone is used by someone else without permission? What happens if there is personal information in it? And most importantly, how will he contact Aminah or her family to tell them that she is safe and just lost her phone?
Joseph immediately turned around and headed towards the cafe where he had just left his phone. His heart was pounding, and he felt guilty for being so careless. The cafe looks the same as before, with a busy waiter managing customer orders. He rushed towards the table where he was sitting with Klayen. But the table is empty. No sign of his cell phone.
Joseph quickly approached the waiter who seemed to have told his superior about the phone left behind. He tried to explain the situation carefully, hoping that his phone was still in the cafe. However, when the waiter explained that his phone had been found and they had tried to contact Joseph's wife, there was a misunderstanding that Joseph's wife thought the call was his mistress
Yusuf was relieved, and thanked the manager of the cafe even though he still felt guilty for causing a misunderstanding on Aminah.
Joseph, after confirming that his cell phone was safe in his hands, wanted to go home immediately and explain the situation to his wife and explained that there was nothing to worry about.
Joseph rushed to the house with a thumping heart. He wanted to make sure that Aminah understood that she had not done anything wrong, and this was just a small mistake. Upon arriving home, he entered the living room with a heavy heart and found Aminah sitting on the sofa, still looking anxious.
Joseph: "Well, I apologize for the worry I have caused. It's just a small mistake. My phone was just left in the cafe earlier, nothing was wrong."
Aminah still looked at Joseph with insoluble concern, even after the explanation from the cafe manager.
Aminah: (in a still worried tone) "But, Yusuf, why didn't you contact me immediately when you realized your phone was left behind? Why don't you answer my call or message?"
Joseph felt distressed by the question, because he knew that he had made the mistake of not contacting Aminah sooner. Aminah's anxiety was natural, and she had to answer honestly.
Joseph: (with guilt) "I'm sorry, dear. It was my fault. I should have called you right away. But my mind was so messed up, and I felt guilty for the situation. I don't think clearly."
Although Joseph had spoken openly and apologized, Aminah still felt doubtful and did not fully believe. Conflicts in their marriage have created deep wounds and distrust, and restoring their relationship will take longer and greater effort.
Aminah: (with a doubtful tone) "Yusuf, I know you are sorry, but is this really all that happened? Is there something you're hiding from me?"
Joseph: (with guilt) "No, Aminah, I have nothing to hide. It's really just a small mistake. There's nothing else."
Aminah: "But why does it feel like something is missing in your story? Why didn't you answer my call or my message?"
Joseph: (with frustration) "Awelcome, I promise, there is nothing I hide. Someone found my phone in the cafe and returned it well. That's all that's happening. I want to fix our relationship."
When Aminah and Joseph were still in their unbelieving conversation, Hana who had been listening to their chatter unnoticed, finally spoke in a small voice.
Hana: (in a soft tone) "Dad, don't get mad at mama keep."
The two old men instantly fell silent and turned to look at Hana who was standing at the door of the living room. Hana's face was full of worry and confusion, as she could feel the tension between her parents.
Joseph: (in a soft voice) "Pardon me, dear. We'll try better."
Aminah also felt sad to see the impact this conflict had on their child.
Aminah: (in a soft voice) "Pardon mamah, dear. We'll try better for you."
Hana nodded with a small smile. Despite being a child, he wanted to see his parents happy and united.
Night fell, and after Aminah and Joseph tried to show good relations in front of Hannah, they finally found time alone. As Hana was already asleep in her room, they sat in the living room, but the atmosphere remained tense.
Joseph: (in a loud tone) "Amin, I cannot continue like this. We need to talk about our problems, and it's all your fault."
Aminah was shocked to hear Joseph's sharp accusation. She felt that the conflict in their marriage was a shared responsibility, and she was not entirely at fault for this situation.
Aminah: (with frustration) "Why do you blame me? It's our problem together, Joseph. I'm trying to protect Hana, and I don't want her involved in our conflict. You have a hand in this too."
Joseph: (in an increasing tone) "But we should not hide from him. We should talk openly, not harbour all our feelings. You were wrong to tell him our problems!"
Aminah: (with tears in her eyes) "I do not know what else to do, Joseph. I'm trying to protect Hana from our conflict. I don't want him to know that we keep fighting."
The quarrel between Joseph and Aminah grew hotter. They blamed each other, and sharp words were spoken with great emotion.
Joseph: (in a voice that almost screams) "Well, you always make this matter worse. You don't understand how to solve this well!"
Aminah: (with anger) "And you, Joseph, why do you not involve yourself well? You're not even trying to explain anything to me. How can we solve the problem if you don't speak openly?"
In the tensions and heated quarrels, Joseph felt that his emotions were getting harder to control. He was afraid that if this quarrel continued, he might lose control and could injure Aminah as he had before. The fear of making a mistake and leaving a deep mark on their marriage made her feel compelled to avoid it.
Without saying a word, Joseph got up from his seat and with quick steps towards the bedroom. He left Aminah in a living room filled with silence. In his heart, he felt confused, angry, and frustrated at their situation.
In the bedroom, Joseph tried to calm himself. He felt that leaving the situation was the wisest course of action at the moment, although he also felt sad and disappointed with the development of their relationship.
Meanwhile, Aminah remained in the living room, sitting with mixed feelings. He felt lonely and hurt by the quarrel they had. She also feels worried about the future of their marriage and its impact on Hana.
That night, they sleep apart, and the tension in their marriage is unresolved. They know that they need to find a way to work through their problems and restore a relationship that has been hurt. But the journey to reconciliation will be a difficult and long one for both.
