Waiting for Your Love

CHAPTER 6

Nina threw her body on the pastel-colored chair while looking out the window, she tried to calm herself down.

He did not intend to joke he was just flirt, but he suddenly became the center of attention of the tour participants. It's not just that. What makes his heart beat fast is the tour guide. His smile, his gentleness, really drove him crazy.

Arif's charms begin to haunt Nina's feelings. Arif really paid attention to Nina. And Nina also admitted that she also felt very happy to be noticed like that by Arif.

“Good. I will review a little history about Sudirman University before we leave,” Arif said with a smile on Nina.

Then Arif briefly explained the history of the establishment of Sudirman University. “The one on your left is the rector building, it's the first building on this campus,” Arif said as he pointed to the building in question.

When the driver started the engine, Arif turned his back on the participants, ready to depart. Arif's voice sounded clear and soft through the loudspeaker. Nina listened without daring to look at him she just lowered her head. But it's hard to think it doesn't exist.

The deep look of his eyes gave off a warm and intelligent impression.

Arif then continued his explanation, with occasional interspersed with humor that made everyone laugh, so that the tour participants did not feel too bored to listen to his explanation.

Likewise with Nina who also laughed at the words of humor from Arif. Arif is a friendly, smart, funny, and charming young man. Her charm is incredible. Arif has his own charm in Nina's eyes.

“Stop Nina remember you already have a cool girlfriend! Remember Andika, Nina,” Nina reminded herself not to get too carried away with Arif.

But Arif's eyes seemed to keep chasing and made him blush embarrassed until his face reddened. Something that was in the eyeball as if it could immediately see Nina's mind. Nina restlessly twisted her hair with her fingers while occasionally glancing towards Arif.

“It seems like he can read my mind. If it means ..?” mused. “He knows dong if I start to like him?” nina's mind she looks very agitated.

With a nervous feeling in his amateurs fill the car while wailing to the left and right. He looked for the whereabouts of his cousin Amelia who apparently sat in the back seat. He needed his cousin to distract him, so he could avoid Arif's gaze.

But Amelia was instead engrossed in observing her nails because she felt very bored listening to the abuse given by Arif. Amelia was unaware that she was being noticed by Nina.

“On our right is the famous art building. Maybe you have heard about the design, painting, and sculpture program at Sudirman University. I often spend time in the building,” comments Arif as he glanced at Nina and smiled.

“She is also interested in art and design. Just like me,” thought Nina. He returned Arif's smile, then bit his lip and looked back out the window.

It feels like something is strange. It used to be only Andika who was able to make her heart beat fast. Andika is the only one who can give her comfort, but after she meets Arif her feelings are a little shaky. Andika is just as cool as Arif. Nina was confused by her own feelings.

His eyes widened when he realized that his daydream had gone too far. “Hold yourself Nina don't get tempted by Arif's charm. Remember Nina there is a faithful Andika waiting for you there. Remember Nina. Don't look at Arif again,” he's trying to remind himself.

It felt so fast that the car stopped in front of the student senate building. Nina tried to convince herself that she was relieved. The tour is over and he won't see Arif again it's the best. Thought in the heart.

He got up from the chair and waited for the queue to come down. But when he arrived at the last step, his knee suddenly cramped and he almost fell.

Arif who was standing by the door swiftly immediately restrained Nina's body with his strong and muscular hands. At Nina's help to stand up and that time unconsciously they looked at each other. Nina could not help but look at Arif's eyes, which were decorated with tiny golden dots. Suddenly he felt breathless. Arif's hand was coiled around his shoulder.

“You okay Nina?” said Arif while releasing his hand that was coiled around Nina's shoulder.

“Ehhh .. yes .. I'm fine ...” replied Nina nervously while holding her cramped lutu.

“Be careful, Nina,”he said while letting Nina go even though she looked unwilling.

“I'm fine. Excuse me. Mmm ... Thank you for helping me!” his voice sounded stupid and stiff as if he had never talked to a guy.

“But by the way sorry you know my name from where?” nina asked confusedly.

“Wear telepathy,” she said proudly. Arif blinked his eyes.

Nina is shocked if it is true that she uses telepathy, meaning Arif can read her mind in the car earlier. Nina was getting more agitated and feeling very nervous.

“That, your ID,” while pointing at the ID attached to Nina's sweater.

“Oh!” Nina jerks. “Oh, yes!” nina replied a little relieved.

“Maybe your feet are tingling, because sitting too long in addition most listen to my chatter about this campus until you are bored,” the candle.

“OK deh,” said Arif while tidying up the hair on his forehead. “Happy weekend Nina. Maybe we'll meet again. Have a nice day here,” Arif said as he passed leaving Nina.

“Ya, maybe .. “ murmured Nina. He was unable to think of any other words other than that which suddenly came straight out of his mouth.

"I'm so stupid today" she thought sadly. "Why did my legs pack all that cramp and almost fall out of the car, then my tongue became stiff. Just make it ashamed. He's definitely not gonna see me again."

Then he asked himself. Does he still want to meet and get closer to Arif? But suddenly he was afraid. He remembered his promise to Andika before he left for Purwokerto. That he will not be enamored with the charms of other men. But in fact Arif was almost able to paralyze his feelings.
