Chapter 169: Lying

Kimi secretly sends a message to Jeremy to meet him in the study. He told the son-in-law not to tell Marsha.

“I'm out for a while,” said Jeremy said goodbye to Marsha.

“Where's Je going?” ask Marsha.

“Buy coffee briefly in the canteen, later go straight back,” Jeremy replied lying, then rubbed the head of the wife.

Marsha nodded in understanding, then allowed her husband to leave.

Jeremy rushed to Kimi's room, where it turned out there was already Kimi and an obstetrician who handled Marsha.

“Sit here, Je.” Kimi lets Jeremy sit on the couch over there.

The man sat down, looking at Kimi and the obstetrician with a sense of uneasiness. He could have guessed if something must have happened, so Kimi asked him to come without telling Marsha.

“Marsha lab test results are out,” Kimi replied.

Kimi also asked the obstetrician to explain directly the results of the princess's test to Jeremy.

“Her lab results just came out, I immediately told Doctor Kimi. Only then decided to discuss this with you,” said obstetrician.

Jeremy was silent, listening to what the doctor would explain.

“The protein content in your wife's urine is very high, this results in blood pressure and leads to preeclampsia,” explained the doctor.

Jeremy was confused by the doctor's explanation, so he asked, “What is preeclampsia?”

“Preeklamsia the abnormality in pregnancy. The cause itself is still unknown. This condition is thought to occur due to abnormalities of placental development that can not work properly, causing blood vessels to narrow, a different reaction from the body of pregnant women due to hormonal changes. As a result there are health problems for mothers and prospective babies.”

Jeremy was speechless listening to the doctor's explanation, still not believing if there was an illness without a cause.

“There must be a definite cause that makes the abnormality happen. Where there may be a disease without a trigger,” said Jeremy who still can not understand the explanation of the doctor.

Kimi himself chose silence, until the doctor explained again.

“Actually when viewed from this case, it could be the age and the first pregnancy that triggers this abnormality to occur.”

“Is there a solution to handle it? What do I have to do to make Marsha and the baby okay?” jeremy asked a little panicked.

Jeremy nodded, anything will be done to save Marsha and their future child.

“For now, patients can go home. However, you still have to maintain health and make sure not to put too much pressure,” said the doctor again.

After explaining everything, the doctor left the room. Jeremy is still there with his eyeballs glazed, not expecting Marsha's pregnancy to have this disorder.

Jeremy turned to Kimi, watching his father-in-law knead his forehead. Jeremy feels guilty, all that happened because he didn't follow Kimi's message in the first place.

“Mi, I'm sorry,” said Jeremy full of regrets.

Kimi moved her hand away from her forehead, then looked at Jeremy who was looking at her.

“You don't have to think about it, the most important thing now is how to keep the worst possible from happening,” Kimi said.

Jeremy exits Kimi's room to return to Marsha's room. While walking, he simultaneously searched for articles about preeclampsia.

Until Jeremy steps stopped when he found some explanation about preeclampsia which is actually the same content.

Jeremy was sitting in the long strait chair there, unable to meet Marsha especially if he told about the condition of his wife.

Meanwhile, in her room, Marsha occasionally looked at the door. He was waiting for Jeremy who said he wanted to buy coffee but didn't come back. Marsha finally decided to get out of bed, looking for her husband in the hospital cafeteria.

When she had just opened the door to get out, Marsha saw Jeremy standing in front of her, it turned out that Jeremy also intended to open the door, but Marsha had already opened it.

“Say only buy coffee, why so long?” marsha asked with pursed lips. “Kak Je went to see Mami, yes?” ask Marsha again.

Jeremy was surprised to hear Marsha's question.

“Kok you know that I met Mami?” ask Jeremy back.

“I asked the nurse who was in to check. He said he saw my sister go to Mami's room. That's why I know,” Marsha replied.

“What does Brother Je have to do with Mami's room for asking about my condition? How did it go?” ask Marsha later.

“You are fine, even now you can go home,” Jeremy replied lying about Marsha's true condition.
