Two Rings of the CEO

Two Rings of the CEO
Staying Defensive

Rumi and Jamil stared at the simple house that is now being renovated with mixed feelings. Between sad and happy. Because the house that looks like a hut has a million memories that are difficult to forget.

"Mother, sorry. It wasn't our intention to destroy this house. We just intend to expand, so that if we come with the mother's grandchildren later, this house will be enough to accommodate us all." Arcs that can feel the turmoil of her mother-in-law try to approach and give understanding so as not to misunderstand.

Rumi slicked thinly and gently rubbed her husband's back wrapped in thick clothes.

"It's okay, son. We also feel happy with the construction of this house, although it is difficult to remember too many memories carved in the simple hut."

The couple never had the slightest dream, if his life would change completely like today. All thanks to the princess, it was the girl's simplicity and kindness that made the famous CEO fall into her arms.

"Please enjoy the tea" said Zara who appeared with a tray containing drinks and some snacks. Putting her on a wooden table, the girl landed her body in a chair next to her husband.

"Thank you, baby," replied Arka as she gently rubbed the top of the wife's head.

Rumi and Jamil smiled happily watching the warmth of the family that intertwined between the princess and her daughter-in-law.

Grabbing a cup containing his favorite unsweetened tea, Arka sipped the warm black drink until a few gulps and put it back on the table.

"How many months of your gestational age now, son," asked Rumi as she stared gently at her daughter's stomach which looked slightly bloated.

Arka who looks more enthusiastic when it comes to the matter of the contents of the wife, immediately replied. "This is the third month, ma'am. And we can't wait to quickly pet her, too" replied Arka as she rubbed the belly of his wife wrapped in a pink dress.

"Of course, dad. I promised to protect Zara and the baby she now has." Again Arka was so quick to answer, that Zara could only smile thinly and feel happiness beyond measure.

The husband and wife were just laughing and staring at each other. They are very lucky to have a daughter-in-law as good as Arka. Although he was born as an established man with all the luxuries, but in fact Arka was not at all arrogant or even acting arbitrarily to the commoners who really nothing, when compared to him.

"Mom, I'm sorry about earlier. Zara and Mas Arka couldn't linger to be here. Mas Arka will return to take care of the family company, while Zara must accompany him." Zara clutched her mother's hand which began to wrinkle. It is very hard to leave both parents who are elderly in a village without a son or daughter who accompanies him.

Rumi clasped his hand back and looked at the girl he had born with a warm look.

"What a hell, kid. After all, there was still Bi Ratih who accompanied Father and Mother every day. As a good wife, you should accompany and serve your husband in joy and sorrow. Whether rich or poor, and when healthy or sick." Rumi tried to advise her beloved daughter. Although Zara is still young, Rumi is sure that the princess will be able to understand the meaning of her words.

Zara nodded and lowered her head while rubbing the clear circles that began to drip on her cheeks. Arka who can understand the sadness of the wife also rubbed the hand of the wife and helped wipe the wet part of her face.

"What if Mom and Dad come with us to live in the city. Wouldn't that feel very pleasant," Arka bargained to her in-laws so that the wife would no longer worry about the condition of her parents.

Rumi and Jamil sighed deeply and threw one another a glance. A few seconds later, the two agreed to shake their heads.

"No, thank you very much for the offer, son. We are both very comfortable living in this village. We intend to live and spend the rest of our lives in this place."

Zara bit her lower lip. If it was like this, he was no longer able to do anything to be able to change the decision of his parents and can only follow it.
