TWELVE DAYS OF LOVE

TWELVE DAYS OF LOVE
Heartbroken Again

I did win over Grace in a football match this afternoon, but not with a heart match. The shadows of every scene I had just seen continued to follow along the way back home.

"Fadil, are you home, son? You must be tired, right? But your tiredness is not in vain because you won. He-he-he, won't you come home crying?" My mother greeted me with her jokes.

In the middle room they were all gathered. Joking while enjoying a snack and warm tea.

I didn't answer my mom. My steps continued to go to the bathroom. I was about to clean myself up, and maybe I was sad ....

After taking a shower, I went straight into the room. I saw their confused faces.

Maybe they're wondering about the weirdness of my attitude. Eventually, my mom came into my room to find out.

"Fadeil? What's the matter, son? Uh ... What is this, what are you doing?"

My mom was surprised to see me putting clothes in a backpack.

"Fadil will be back in town tonight, Mak" I said.

My mother pulled my hand, leading me to sit on the edge of the bed.

"Guess, Son. What's wrong with you, didn't you just win the match, but why does the look on your face look evil? Moreover intending to return to the city in a hurry."

"Fadil lost, Mommy. This time he really lost. Fadil won't be strong if he stays here. Let Fadil return to the city and work to forget this disappointment."

"Losing? Disappointed? What do you mean, Dil?" ask mamak curious.

"Fadil lost again in love. Cindai chose Grace," I replied slowly.

"He said so?" ask Mamak firmly.

I shook my head, "Fadil saw them together like lovers."

Mamak paused for a moment and said, "Not everything we see will be the same as what really happened."

"Fadil can't be wrong, Mom. Apparently all this time the reason Cindai had given me to reject me was just making it up. The truth is Cindai will receive the love of Grace."

"You don't want to be sure of the truth first?"

"No more need, Mom. It will only add to my pain. I went back to the village to comfort myself from my heartbreak. Meeting Mamak, Father and sisters have healed him. And, Fadil never thought he'd fall in love with Cindai here."

I paused for a moment, tried to regulate my heavy breathing, then resumed, continuing,

"Fadil was heartbroken at Cindai, hoping she would be the last, accompanying Fadil until later. But not yet the love blossomed, hope was already dead. Fadil's love is unrequited."

I stood up, grabbed back the backpack and locked the zipper. Then turned to look at my mom.

"I'm sorry Fadil, Mom. Always failed to bring a son-in-law to Mamak and Dad," I said lirih.

Mom just kept quiet, looking at me as if she felt pain. A moment later he stood up and approached me.

"Patience, Son. A soul mate has arranged" he said while stroking my back.

Me and my mom got out of the room and joined the others.

"Dad, I'm sorry Fadil has to go back to town tonight" I told my father.

"Huh? Isn't your cut still a few days away?" ask dad wonder.

"Yes, Dad. But Fadil has to come back because there's work that Fadil has to finish" I replied lying.

"Yaaahhh, you want to go back to town? Vivaakkk ...." Zagi said as he headed to my place.

My youngest brother hugged my body tightly, I greeted him and embraced him tightly.

Safira and Nadira did the same. My body is surrounded by the arms of the three of them.

But this time their sobs began to sound.

"Hey ... Why are you crying?" You're going back to town to work" I said.

"Abang if you have returned to the city will be a long time back to the village" said Nadira.

"No, I promise I'll go home more often. Or if you are on holiday, may you play into the city," comfort me.

"Dream promises?" ask Zagi reassuringly.

"Asik .... Sure, Safira hasn't been in town for a long time."

"Yes, Nadira also wants to go to the mall to buy nice clothes."

"Yes, you will take you to the mall later" I said.

Such a conversation continued between us until dinner was over and now time has shown exactly ten o'clock. It's time to leave.

I also say goodbye to my father, mother and sisters. The atmosphere is back. To be honest, being apart from them was hard on me, especially being separated from my mom.

Once again the woman I respect the most hugged me tightly. Shoving my head to my back. Affectionately. Clear thread dripped from both corners of his old eyes.

"Be careful on the road, son," he said softly.

Surely this heart is very painful to see the tears of mamak, it feels more and more heavy to leave it now. But let all this sense I must hold first. Maybe until the news of Cindai's marriage and Grace I have received, and my heart has given. I will go back to the village again.
