The splashing of rain water cooled the scene this morning. I, Zahra, a girl in a white-gray uniform, just stepped out of the house and headed to school. I'm a high school girl who's notoriously jovial, nimble and nimble. Even so, behind the face that always smiles, stored a very stifling pite. Yes, I was an orphan who was raised by Grandma Hana, since I was a baby I was abandoned by my parents. Whether it's their rejection of my presence or what, I don't understand. Even during the time I was born I had never seen and felt the figure of Father. I grew up in a small village in the corner of the city. My life is far from fancy, but I am grateful to have a grandmother who loves me so much.
This morning, at exactly 05:30, I went to school while helping my grandmother bring various vegetables to sell in the market. Coincidentally the distance of my school with the market where grandmother sells is fairly close. When passing through a narrow hallway, accidentally, my gaze caught the figure of a man who was none other than Furqon. My schoolmate who always made my heart shake uncontrollably when she saw him. Either a feeling of like or admiration. Yes, Furqon is an outstanding student and is considered sholeh. Her cool style, her lofty height, her fair skin, her sharp nose, were all beautifully painted on her. All the women must have been very fascinated with him. No exception to me.
“Furqon, are you leaving too?Much
“Ya” answered briefly and threw her sweet smile at me. He turned and approached my grandmother.
“Sini nek, let furqon help” he said while taking the basket carried by grandma.
“Thank you son, you are indeed a good child, it's worth zahra always praising you” said the grandmother who made me blush embarrassed and only in reply with semyuman by furqon.
Along the way I did not talk much, only Furqon and grandmother occasionally jokingly melt the atmosphere. About an hour we had reached a market, not far from the city. Every day we walked 5 miles to get to school. Not infrequently, our sweat poured out as soon as we reached school. Even so, it did not shake my steps to achieve what we dream of in the future. Love and ideals converge in our steps.
“Yes, you who are diligent in learning, do not think about love first” replied grandma while glancing at me. The look in his eyes implied that it was an emphasis for me. I just breathed a heavy sigh while bowing in shame.
“ my grandmother once teased me in front of Furqon” muttered in my heart.
“Ya Grandma, calm grandma. In the Lord, I will fight for my dreams and ideals”, I said convincingly.
Hearing my words Grandma caressed my head. The warm energy of affection returned to me and this is what kept me grateful. Even though I live without parents, I still get genuine love cards from this tough woman in front of me.
After saying goodbye to my grandmother and furqon set foot towards our school building.
We arrived at a white green building. I accelerated my footsteps towards my classroom regardless of the furqon that was walking near me in its cold style. Suddenly someone pulled my hand.....
