Chapter 88

After Steve leaves the room, Vincent stares at his phone screen and sends a message to Amira that he will be home late tonight.

Vincent then contacted Tiffany asking her to accompany him in the apartment. Not forgetting he asked his subordinates to keep Amira safe. He did not want things like last night to happen again.

Suddenly the door of his room was slowly knocked. "Come in" said Vincent still busy replying to his lover's message.

Lucas walks into the room and approaches Vincent's desk, "Boss," Lucas says, distracting his boss.

Vincent glances at Lucas at a glance and still types his phone for a while, then puts it on the table. He looked at Lucas flatly, "What's up?" ask Vincent.

"I've checked the CCTV inside and outside the Devil Kiss area. We've also arrested the man who harassed Ms. Lin and as per your orders, we've cleared him" Lucas said, handing Vincent his phone.

Vincent picks up the phone and sees footage of CCTV footage that happened that night, when Amira was almost harassed by the jerk. He squeezed Lucas's phone tightly, his eyes blocked angrily at the footage. Lucas just kept quiet to see the response of his boss.

Vincent's forehead creased as the CCTV footage turned to Anna approaching the jerk who dared to harass her lover. He saw Anna thrusting something at the man. Vincent sharpened his eyes and saw a pill that was in Anna's hand at that moment.

"DANNA LEE!" vincent shouted furiously after learning the mastermind behind the incident.

"Lucas! Immediately decide on cooperation with Lee Construction, pay compensation according to the contract! For Anna Lee, make her a street rat who can't even crawl anymore!" vincent's orders were cold and cynical.

Lucas was not surprised by the response given by his superiors. It was natural that his boss was angry, because Anna's actions were completely outrageous and inexcusable, but he was surprised by Vincent who wanted to decide on cooperation with Lee Construction. This time Vincent violated his own principles, mixing work issues with his personal ones.

"Boss, what should be thought in advance for the termination of cooperation with Lee Construction? I don't think Mr. Calvin knows what his sister is doing either" Lucas suggested trying to remind Vincent who is being controlled by his current anger.

Vincent stared at Lucas coldly. Lucas understood the meaning of the gaze of his superior at that time who did not want to be denied again, he immediately obeyed the orders of his superior earlier and immediately left the room. Not forgetting he took his phone in Vincent's hands before becoming the target of his boss's anger.

"Lucas!" call Vincent before Lucas gets to the door.

Lucas immediately turned around and walked over waiting for his superior's orders.

"Late night you follow Steve to Marson Harbor. Make sure Steve and his brother's safety!" Vincent's orders.

"Good Boss!" lucas answered and left the room.

Vincent leaned his head against the back of the chair. He massaged his temple slowly and closed his eyes. He wants to go home soon to meet his girlfriend, but he still needs to wait for reports from Lucas and Steve and make sure his plans tonight are successful, then he can calm down.

Marson Harbor, 9 p.m.

A white car stopped right in front of an old warehouse with the number 19 on its doorstep. A man wearing a neat suit with his tie down from the car while carrying a briefcase in his hand.

The man, Steven Liu, walked towards the closed door of the warehouse. He took his breath in and exhaled it slowly. He was so tense and anxious, he pulled his tie and loosened his bond. He glanced to the right and to the left, the surrounding situation was so silent.

Slowly he pushed the door of the old warehouse which was deliberately not locked by its owner. He opened it wide. Silent and dark. There was no sound other than the clattering of his own steps and the creaking sound of the old door.

Steve entered the room quietly and tried to close his eyes in the dark room. Suddenly the light of the lamp in the room lit up and dazzled his eyes. Steve's reflex closed his eyes and slowly opened them. He narrowed his eyes reducing the light that went inside. Having gotten used to the situation in the room, Steve was surprised by the presence of three masked people in front of him.

"Check him!" order one of the masked men who has a plontos head to the colleague beside him.

The colleague approached Steve and examined Steve's body from top to bottom. Steve simply resigned himself and raised his hand because the bald-headed man was holding a firearm in his hand.

"Where's my sister?" steve asked a little nervously.

Another masked man snatched the bag from Steve's hand and smirked, "Just calm down. Your sister is safe with us. As long as you bring what we want" he said and brought the bag to his boss.

They opened Steve's briefcase that only contained a laptop and a flash drive in it.

"Where are the things we asked for?" ask those who didn't find the documents they were looking for in Steve's briefcase.

"There's in that laptop, but I'd like to see my sister first. After looking at it, I'll give you my laptop password" Steve asked.

The boss of the cabal was holding his ear which was fitted with a bluetooth headset, it seemed like someone was giving orders to him remotely.

Steve glanced around the room, and sure enough in every corner of the room was installed surveillance cameras. He swallowed his saliva slowly, fear began to creep in him, but he tried to stay strong so that his plan to save his sister was not destroyed.

Not long after, another masked man came in with a petite girl. That girl was Helen Liu, Steve's sister.

The girl's hands were tied and her mouth bandaged. The girl thrashed at the presence of her brother there, her tears spilling instantly.

"HELEN!" steve shouted to try to walk closer to his sister, but the man carrying his sister brandished his firearm at Helen's temple, making Steve stop his steps.

"Mr Liu, don't rush .. Finish your mission first, after that we'll release your brother" the boss said.

Steve faced the bald-headed man and opened his laptop on a small table in front of him. After entering his passcode, he opened the document they wanted and showed it to the man.

The bald man only caught a glimpse of it, from his eyes if he did not understand the documents before him, but he just nodded slowly and would snatch the laptop from Steve's hands.

"This laptop has a company, you should just copy the document into this flash. If this laptop is lost, I'm afraid Mr. Vincent will suspect that the design project has been stolen" Steve said quickly and put the flash into his laptop.

"Wait first! You copied the data in here!" said the man who held his sister hostage while throwing another flash in front of Steve.

Steve stared at the flash on the floor nearby and picked it up. He inserted the flash without unplugging his flash and copying the documents they wanted.

After he finished, he showed the result to the bald man in front of him and the man smiled in satisfaction. The bald man took his flash and put it in his shirt pocket.

"Take the girl off!" the bald-headed man ordered to his men. They soon passed from the place leaving Steve and his sister.

Steve immediately approached his younger brother, unbinding in his hand and a bandage in his mouth.

"SISTER!" helen shouted while crying after the bandage in her mouth was opened. Steve hugged his brother tightly, he rubbed his hair slowly and let go of his embrace.

"Let's get out of here!" said Steve tidied up his laptop and put it back in his bag. He carried his weak sister's body while carrying his bag and got into the car.

Cold sweat splashed on his forehead. His hands were shaking when he put his car keys into his starter. Helen just silently looked at her brother's attitude in surprise.

After successfully starting his car, Steve immediately drove the car quickly and left the place.

Not far from there, a black van stood there long before Steve was there. Inside was a man who kept an eye on them through a small monitor connected to an indoor surveillance camera. Adrian Song had since seen their situation behind the scenes, he sat down leisurely while watching the screen in front of him.

The door of the van was knocked, Adrian lowered his glass window slightly. A bald-headed man handed him a flash in his hand and Adrian took it. He quickly put the flash into the laptop he used to carry. Unsuspecting, he pressed the cursor button on a document that read 'GREEN RESORT' which displayed some of the project design pages he wanted.

He smiled in satisfaction but a few seconds later the curved line on his lips turned flat. His laptop screen sent a warning that his system had been tampered with due to malware entering the network.

"DAMN! CHASE THEM!" adrian who has been deceived and upset. He pulled out the flash and threw it on the floor of the car.

Adrian's subordinates immediately obeyed his superior's orders and got into their car. Unbeknownst to Steve, when Steve was first searched by Adrian's men, they put a tracking device into Steve's suit pocket. Now they are following the trail indicated by the GPS of their tracking device.
