There Is Him Among Us

There Is Him Among Us
Keep trying

Airin, where are you, son?

Alvin rubbed his disheveled face because all night he did not sleep and went around in the forest. He was now sitting near a tree staring at the sun which was beginning to reveal its light.

"Drink first." Kevin gave Alvin a bottle of water. "Where did they disappear? The tracks really don't exist. Let me add my men to find them."

Alvin put down the half-living bottle of drink. "Airin is actually an indigo child, I'm afraid they're in danger because of Airin."

Kevin patted Alvin on the shoulder. "That means your daughter is special. We think positively first, there is still time to search. I hope they're okay."

Aksara let out a long breath repeatedly. He sat next to Alvin. "Udah morning, but they haven't met. Melo has acid reflux, she can't eat late." He kept thinking about the state of Melody. Yes, hopefully he survived and nothing, because if his daughter's stomach acid relapses, he will feel tight and can also faint.

"Aksa, we're trying to find each other again. Let's just pray that they're all safe."

Aksara nodded his head.

Moments later one of Kevin's men shouted and ran towards the three Fathers. "Sir, we found the shoes. Is this the shoe of one of your sons?"

Kevin stood up and looked at the shoes. "It's Revan's shoes. Where did you find it?"

"On the edge of the abyss."

"Garge height?" Instantly they all walked half-run towards the place in question.

"Did they fall down?" ask Alvin. The gap was quite steep, how would it be if they fell down.

"We'll check down."

"Oh my God, may they be okay." Aksara's knees were wobbly imagining that his daughter had fallen from that very high abyss.

"I'm coming down!" Alvin. He had to make sure of his own daughter. He came down holding a rope that had been wrapped around a large tree.

"Me too!" Kevin and Aksara did not remain silent. They will not give up looking for their son and daughter.

...***...

Airin and Azka woke up to hear the sound of vomit from the melody which was quite loud.

"Mel, what's wrong with you?" Airin stood up and rubbed Melodi's back.

"My stomach is so nauseous. I think my stomach acid is going up" Melodi said. His face looked very pale with his eyes.

"You drink first." Then Azka offered a drink to Melodi.

Finally Melodi took it but just one gulp, she returned nauseous again.

Airin was now looking at the sky that was starting to light up. "We're going now." Airin helps Revan sit down and gets him a drink.

"Three of you go down the road. Let me be here." Revan's legs are no longer movable. The heat in his body had also not come down, even now his chest felt increasingly tight.

"No! You must come with us!"

They all looked towards the overturned bus. A truly terrible sight. It was clearly visible around the bus that many corpses were already bones. There were some bones scattered far from the bus, either because of the actions of animals or dragged by rainwater.

Then Azka put some drinks in the bag and took it with her.

Suddenly Melodi's body relaxes and she falls down, fortunately Azka quickly catches her body. "Melody!" He pat Melodi's cheek. "Mel, let's get Mel up. We need to get out of here fast. Melos!"

"Let Melody be with you, I'll help Revan!" airin.

"But you can?"

"could. You just walk ahead. Quickly go upstairs."

Azka lowered Melodi then she crouched down and carried Melodi on her back. "Ai, you tied Melody to my body with that cloth."

Airin nodded her head and tied Melodi's body to Azka's back.

Then Azka stood up. "I'm gonna go upstairs so I can help you guys out soon." Azka stepped her feet and began to climb the slowly uphill road. Although he was tired, he should be able to get to the top quickly. So he can come back and help Revan.

Airin now pulled Revan's body to stand up. She throws Revan's hand over her shoulder and Airin's hands hold Revan's waist.

"Ai, I'm heavy. You just stay here." Revan's body is completely out of power. Even to step up it feels very difficult.

"No will. We can do it." Airin tried to hold Revan's body. Then he slowly stepped his feet.

Revan grew increasingly limp, he now closed his eyes with a heavy breath.

"Revan, you have to hold on." The spring water is warming. He was still trying to walk even though Revan's body was getting heavy. He walked slowly through the rising road. He fell down a few times and woke up again.

"Ai, leave me here. I can't stand it anymore" Revan said in his weak voice. Her breathing is disjointed and tight.

Tears have flooded Airin's cheeks. He doesn't want to lose Revan. Either way Revan has to get out of that place with him. "I'll try to take you, as long as I can."

"I just want you to be safe, you leave me here. You quickly go upstairs."

Airin shook his head hard. He keeps trying to pull Revan's body.

"Oh, I can't do it." Revan's breathing is getting stiffer. His body was getting weaker and made them fall down repeatedly.

"Revan you have to hold on." Airin wiped away the origin of her tears. Then he looked up. Azka was already half-way through.

I can't give up.

Airin rose again. He tried his hardest to get Revan to walk.
