Arriving at home, Azka went into her brother's room which had not been occupied for a long time. He picked up a large cardboard box that was on top of the closet. Then put it on the floor and open the lid of the cardboard full of dust.
There's a box in it. He took it and opened the box. There's a titanium necklace and a little teddy bear.
Fani, I know I don't have much time for you because I'm busy with my world. But I still remember today our second anniversary. We're just breaking, not breaking up. After we graduate, we walk. I love you...
"I don't know where Fani is now? I hope he is in his old house. I'll pass this stuff to Kak Fani."
Azka put the necklace and doll back in the box and took it with her.
He went into his room and took a change of clothes and washed himself. In just a moment, she had already come out of the bathroom and combed her hair.
"Azka, eat first son" said his mother who now stands in the doorway.
"Yes, Mom." Then Azka came out of the room and went to the dining room which became one room with the kitchen.
"Today there's a rehearsal?" asked Bu Isti while taking Azka rice on his plate.
"I'm preparing to take part in next week's math olympics."
At once Bu Isti sat down and held Azka's arm. "May you be a champion. I'm sure you can."
"Yes, I pray for you." Then Azka began to eat her food because her stomach was already very hungry.
Moments later, his father came home and ate with Azka. His mother told him that Azka would attend the Maths Olympics but instead of being happy, his father actually made Azka's spirit decrease.
"Can you be a champion? All this time just busy playing basketball and never learned."
Azka just took a long breath. He has to be patient, he has to show that he can really be the best. After finishing his meal he stood up and entered his room without saying anything.
Moments later, she had put on her jacket and left the house after saying goodbye to her mother.
He saw Fani's home address again. "There is still one subdistrict. Not too far." Azka rode her motorcycle and a few moments later her motorbike had driven towards the address in question.
Just 15 minutes, Azka stopped her motorbike in front of a house according to Fani's home address. The house looks lonely, he now goes down and into the terrace of the house Fani. He knocked on the door and said hello.
After waiting for quite a while, someone finally opened the door for her. Looks like the mothers are already gray. Maybe it was Fani's mother.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for Brother Fani, is there?"
The mother looked at him cynically. "Fani is no longer here. You're one of his customers?"
"No, I..."
Azka is now standing by her motorcycle. He saw a mother standing in front of his house selling ice. Yeah, maybe she knew about Fani.
Then Azka walked up to him and asked Fani's neighbor. "Commissioner Ma'am, I'd like to ask you about Fani. Is it true that Fani doesn't live here anymore?"
The mothers observed Azka from top to bottom. "Are you Fani?"
"I've never met Fani before, but I have a need."
"You look a lot like Fani's boyfriend who died in high school" the mother said.
Azka nodded her head. "I happen to be his sister."
"Oo, it deserves to be similar. I still remember very well because Fani and her boyfriend often buy ice here. Poor Fani." said the mother while sitting in front of her shop. "Here, you sit down first."
Azka finally sat down next to the mother. It looks like something happened to Fani.
"After his girlfriend died Fani was very sad. It was as if there was no spirit anymore. His mother was angry because she failed to get a scholarship to college. Then he decided to work out of town, apparently he was framed and sold there. He was taken by the police and brought home."
Azka was silent listening to the tragic story.
"But again his mother did not want to accept him out of shame and he was thrown out of the house. Maybe because he's desperate and there's no direction to go anymore, now he's working as an LC at one of the karaoke bars and nightclubs."
"LC?" Azka knitted her brows and thought. It turns out that many were affected by the departure of his brother. "What club?"
"I know less too. My son knows, but my son is in quarantine so he can't be contacted. Next week you'll be here again."
Azka nodded her head and stood up. "I'll excuse you then. Thanks for the information."
"Yes, you're welcome."
Azka is back riding her motorcycle. Life is complicated, more complicated than he imagined.
