A week after the debate between Edmund and his parents, Edmund's days were filled with busyness, he came home and went from mansion to palace. He was with Leona at night, and early in the morning he had left before Leona woke up, not knowing what Edmund was doing.

Leona woke up that morning, she tried to get up before Edmund, but just like yesterday, Edmund woke up ahead of Leona again. Leona rubbed her eyes and immediately went into the bathroom to clean her body. After taking a shower, she immediately put on her dress and went down to the breakfast table, there had been waiting for Mr. Viss who was standing by the table.

"Good morning Lady Leona, please have breakfast, Mr. Edmund advised that today you leave for the residence of Lady Laura."

Leona furrowed her brows. "What am I going there for?" Ask.

"Madam Laura wants to take you around Cambridge, she wants to take you for a walk, because Mr. Edmund is so busy at the palace, he said, so he called Mr. Hoult to have you with Mrs Laura take a walk together, maybe you're tired of being in the mansion every day." Said the butler Viss.

Leona was silent, "Viss, do you know why Edmund was so busy? what he's done at the palace so I've had a hard time meeting him this week."

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but it seems that there is a job that Mr. Alexander has given to Mr. Edmund, like Mr. Hoult who has an important position in the palace, Mr. Edmund also has an important position that is burdened on him."

The train leaves, Laura is very friendly and so kind to Leona, maybe because she feels both coming from an island, so Laura feels comfortable with leona, and vice versa.

"We will go around first in the collection of dresses Madam Meny after that I will introduce a very delicious Cake shop."

"I can't wait to see it." Leona said, she then looked at Laura. "Mm, may I ask you a question? Is your husband busy at the palace? because Edmund was so busy, we rarely even talked." Leona said, her face looks sad.

"Can I call you Leona? you can call me Laura."

"Of course, I'd prefer a casual call." Said Leona by massaging her shoulders, feeling disgusted by the title of honor.

"It seems that Mr. Edmund was given a heavy duty by the court, however he was the son of Alexander so he held several important roles in the palace, Mr. Alexander an official in the ministry, said, usually Edmund helped his father with his duties.

"He's very busy." Leona murmured as she glared at the city square towards the center of Cambridge.

Laura patted her shoulder. "Don't worry, the job won't last forever, soon he won't be busy, just like Sean." Laura said encouragingly to him. That day they had fun, Leona looked cheerful, they walked into the various shops that were there, enjoyed the delicious food as well as bought some beautiful dresses. Leona felt Laura was a good match for her, she was easy to communicate with and she was very kind.

After 1pm it was time for them to return to the Mansion. Along the way, they tell each other stories and laugh, and without feeling Leona has arrived at the mansion. "Next time I'll take you to the museum, Leona."

"When, I'll be so happy." He waved to Laura and immediately went inside. Two guards opened the gate of the mansion, Leona then entered. He walked slowly, and looked towards the garden. Leona turned and sitting in the hidden garden, she looked up from the garden when she heard the nagging female voices from the direction of the mansion.

"Tsk, it's Edmund's stepmother, what she wants to come here." Leona muttered peeking from the garden.

"Just wait, if the woman knew his position, she would not last long, however the woman would not hold Alexander's last name, if she wanted to, she should let Edmund marry a noblewoman."

Leona was surprised, and she sat down. "So what Sofia said was true? in order for me to be recognized as Edmund's legal wife and hold Alexander's last name, a noblewoman must first marry Edmund?"

"That's absolutely right." The voice made Leona turn around, she did not expect the old woman to find her, there might be a waiter who reported that she was sitting in the garden.

"Who allowed you to get out of this mansion, do you want to humiliate the Alexander family again? Leona stood up, she was still speechless, and had yet to answer all the words of the woman before her.

"Say who?" He said in a loud voice, anyone who heard him would think Mrs Alexander was scolding a servant.

"Edmund. I went out for a walk together with Lady Hault, she took me for a walk into the city." Answer Leona.

His expression then changed, "Really? where did you know Mrs Hault?" Said exasperated.

"She invited me over for tea recently." Answer Leona.

"Next time if you talk to me, call me Madam, you still haven't been considered my daughter-in-law, you understand? you're just a useless country girl who stole Edmund's attention." Snarled.

Leona was heartbroken, she was the type to double back if she felt a slicing pain in her heart, why would she have to accept all the words of grandmother before her, he doesn't deserve to be treated like this, why they hate him.

"W-WHAT DID YOU SAY?".

The servants behind him were startled, they took a few steps back. Leona looked at him sharply.

"He had the 3 servants hold me, I couldn't let anyone hurt me, not even your mother even if I couldn't accept being treated like this." Infuriated by Leona, he shouted in front of Edmund with flaming eyes and stared intently at him.

"Bring Mrs Alexander back to the castle." Edmund's orders to the servant.

"Good sir."

"And take Miss Leona back to her room."

"Good sir."

Leona looked at him sharply, she slapped Edmund on the cheek, after which she turned around and left, the two servants following her from behind looked terrified.

Edmund exhaled while staring at Leona from a distance. The awkward atmosphere felt between them, Kenan patted Edmund on the shoulder, his other friend was of course surprised, because no one dared to hit Edmund, let alone Edmund not angry at all.

At 11pm Leona couldn't sleep, she recalled the incident this afternoon, faced them all need extra effort, if they were sneaky, Leona felt she had to be even more cunning so they wouldn't play tricks on her. She looked at Leona who had been sleeping, after drying her hair, she immediately climbed onto the bed and enveloped herself. He approached Leona and pulled her gently and hugged her tightly. He then closed his eyes and not long after that he was already asleep.

Leona opened her eyes, then looked at her face. He then closed his eyes again.

Early in the morning as usual, she had already left for the palace, Leona exhaled, she thought about what she would do today, after taking a bath and getting ready, Leona went down to the first floor, she said, unexpectedly, the Mansion was empty, there was not a single servant in the mansion and there was no breakfast available on the table.

"Where is everyone?" Leona muttered. He walked around the mansion and did not find any servants there. Leona headed for the kitchen, but it was the same, because the waiter was nowhere.

"Is this the new way that witch does it? You think I'd starve if you didn't serve me?" Leona. He opened the food storage room and got everything he needed for breakfast. Today at least she cooks to start her day. The hot food was taken to the dining room just as a waiter was running.

"Hey, what's wrong? why are you running like that?"

"Ah that ..."

"Just tell me what happened." His order.

"We were all in Alexander's castle, because he was very sick, so all the servants went there because they were worried about him." Said the waiter.

Leona sat in the chair, now she understood why Edmund was so busy, he did all his father's work, until late at night, because his father was very sick.

"Why didn't he tell me all that? Why didn't anyone tell me the news?" Leona had breakfast quickly, she then left for the castle but she was wearing a maid outfit, so that she would not look conspicuous. He arrived at the castle and there were very crowded, many people gathered there.

With a sneak he walked towards the back of the castle wanting to find information. Didn't think Edmund was there, many guests came to see Mr. Alexander.

Leona tugged tightly on her headscarf to keep her face from looking too much, she then asked the servant who worked in the castle.

"What's wrong with Mr. Alexander, what's he sick of?"

A smile on Mrs Alexander's face. "Congratulations Sofia, Edmund consented to the conditional marriage, soon you'll be his wife." Victory finally flashed across Sofia's face.
