Chapter #7

Kiara continued walking down the stairs that would lead her to the river.

"Huh, it's finally here." Kia prepared to take out the dirty clothes she had brought from the house.

Kia started washing the clothes quickly before dawn, as she had to help grandma again to take a bath.

Moments later Kia had finished washing the clothes. "Luckily the dirty clothes are just a little, so not so long after it's finished." muttered Kia while moving on from her crouching.

Carrying her laundry Kia turned her body back up the stairs, but had not yet turned completely, Kia's forehead shriveled when she saw the strange thing on the river bank.

"What's that?" kia's eyes squinted while paying attention to what was on the riverbank.

Because of curiosity Kia walked over to something strange. Kia's mouth opened perfectly when she saw clearly something that made her curious.

"M—mayat!!!" pekik Kiara was surprised.

Kiara ran towards the stairs and immediately climbed up the stairs in a huff.

"Please!" Kiara screams.

The gentlemen at the patrol station stopped Kia's move.

"Kia, what's up, son?" the three fathers moved from their seats.

"Sir!" Kia set her hunting breath. "In the river there are dead bodies!" kia said directly.

"What's? A body?" the three fathers cried in disbelief.

"Where maybe Kia, you saw the wrong time" said Mr. Doko.

"What lie does Mr. Doko mean?I just saw with my own eyes that it was actually human and lying weakly by the river" Kia said.

"Yes, let's show us where you saw the body."

They all went to the river.

"That, sir." Kia pointed in a direction.

The three Fathers followed Kia's index finger while squinting.

"Let's take a close look." Mr. Doko walked first in front of Kia and the other two Fathers.

"Masya'allah, yes it really is human!". shouted Mr. Supri loudly.

Mr. Doko crouched down next to a stranded man.

Mr. Doko began to hold the man's wrist. "His pulse is still there, which means he's alive." Mr. Doko looked towards his two friends and Kia.

"Yes, let's take it to the hospital quickly." The three of them lifted Raymond's body while Kia followed behind.

'Oh Allah, may the man be saved.' Kia prayed in her heart. There was a sense of relief in Kia's heart because the man she had just seen was not a corpse but a washed up person and was still alive.

Mey got out of the car in a hurry, currently she is still wearing bridal clothes.

"Of!" mey shouted when she saw Papa Raymond named Bimo.

Bimo. "Meysa, why are you here, son?"

"Om, I want to see Raymond, where's Ray Om???" Meysa was crying.

"THE RAYMOND!!!" meysa shouted with a body that slid to the ground.

"Mey, patient son. Let us pray that there may be a miracle from God and that Ray may survive this deadly tragedy.." Bimo tried to calm his future son-in-law.

"Excuse me, apologize Mr. Bimo." the SAR team leader came over to Bimo and Meysa.

"Yes, Sir. How's it?" Bimo helps Meysa stand up.

"We haven't found any traces or bodies of Mr. Raymond, right now what we've found is the driver's body."

"How can you?" Bimo frowned in wonder.

"We've been investigating that someone deliberately put a bomb in Mr. Raymond's car. Me and the members will continue the search tomorrow because we are sure that Mr. Raymond must be carried away by the river current because below the gorge there is a river that flows somewhere" said the SAR team leader explained.

"I'm asking you to look for my son's whereabouts until you can! And don't forget to keep investigating who put the bomb in my son's car!" Bimo spoke firmly.

"We will definitely investigate everything, Mr. Bimo. You don't have to worry, I'll give you some information soon."

"Hm, I'm waiting to hear."

The SAR Team Leader left in front of Bimo and Meysa.

"Mey, um just ask you to go home? Later if Om has got news about Raymond, Om will definitely tell you soon." Bimo persuaded.

"But, Om—" Meysa's speech was truncated.

"Already, no buts. Om will definitely tell you later," said Bimo gently so that Meysa does not get too bad.

Meysa nodded and went to her car.

"Look if I know who deliberately harmed my son." - furious Bimo with a deep grudge.
