The drizzle that flushed the Black Mapple Forest, made the air within the forest colder than usual. Although the air was so cold that it could make the body shiver, yet sweat poured out profusely from Grandpa Alf's aging body.
He looked around, flapping his eyelids in sweat mixed with rainwater, looking for the existence of the female ninja who seemed not to run out of her magic area.
His eyes returned to one of the shadows of a tree not far from where he stood. . .
"Come out I know you weren't serious about attacking me."
He was silent for a moment waiting for a response from his interlocutor who just silently observed.
"When you slash at a speed beyond reason, I can see the blade that hit where my shield is the back of your dagger."
He thought maybe the ninja just wanted to try Grandpa Alf's abilities. Actually even though he knew the intentions of his opponent, when the ninja slashed him by pretending, he retaliated by playing him through excessive magic rapes from the proper.
The mana concentration density of the magic tidying due to its incredible mana control, caused the effect of mana distortion in the air. The distortion of mana made the effect of time difference noticeably slow down, so that all the movements that were fixed on him became extremely slow in his eyes. He saw his opponent's movements like a bullet being shot into the water getting closer to Grandpa Alf, the more it slowed down its acceleration.
Her eyebrows shot up feeling through her magic, the female ninja began to move slowly from the dark shadows of the forest.
"I don't know who sent you and what you came here for. But seeing you let go of your existence as the two young men moved out of here, made me think there was something you wanted to tell me."
His words stopped seeing the female ninja was already standing before him along with the demon of his calling.
"Yes. . ."
He took off his clan's demon mask. His face is oriental with white skin like snow, his black eyeballs make the eyes seem to focus on the point. "My name is Yuki Akatsuki" he said.
Alf's grandfather is a little surprised by Yuki's actions, which show his face behind a mask and then tell him his real name rather than his assassin's code. He knew the Assassin Guild's code of conduct that kept the identity of its members very secret.
"Grandpa should stop your magic zone first."
Yuki looked at Grandpa Alf anxiously, instead of being still wary of him just that he felt that the grandfather in front of him was pushing himself too hard.
"You'd better cancel that demon call next to you."
Reply Grandpa Alf who ignored the advice of Yuki. His selfish nature and not wanting to lose made him feel defeated if he first followed Yuki's advice.
For a few seconds they stared at each other. There was no sign of the two to follow his opponent's advice. Yuki then looked at the sky which was slowly getting darker by the cloudy clouds.
Yuki's gaze was sidetracked by Kerberos who suddenly growled, sensing the mana flow from Grandpa Alf's moving hand, returning to chanting magic.
"Mana Light, this is just light magic, you don't need to be so vigilant."
He moved the ball of light in his hand that was just to illuminate his surroundings, unlike the previous ball of light that sucked mana around him.
Yuki felt that time and place did not favor her who started to shiver in the cold. Instantly the air became warmed by Grandpa Alf's magic. That warmth eventually led Yuki to cancel her call animal.
Yuki finally realized Grandpa Alf's ability was not only controlled by mana, but also at his concentration which could cast 2 magic at once.
Grandfather Alf certainly smiled happily feeling the victory even though it was a fight of bragging. For a moment he savored the taste then stopped his magic zone.
"You know my identity, right? So. . .what did the Artemis Religious Sect send you?"
"No, this order came from Queen Elizabeth through the Chief Assassin Guild, I was only ordered to keep an eye on the black-haired young man earlier."
The answer is loose, flat expressionless cover-up. Grandpa Alf questions Yuki's professionalism in carrying out his duties.
"What is the commandment of your hearing also including explaining the content of the commandment to me?"
"No, it's my own initiative. I find it impolite not to answer the questions of people older than me."
"Is he really a member of the assassin guild ?"
The frown on Grandpa Alf's forehead seems to clearly find the contrasting side of Yuki's work with her opposite nature. He was even more surprised to think of the Chief Assassin assigning Yuki to the important mission of Queen Elizabeth, rather than hearing that the client of the mission had come from the queen herself. He then thought of testing it with a random question.
"Your favorite food?"
"Pasta and Sandwich"
"Your favorite color?"
"Light white"
"What do you like best?"
"The white bear"
Grandpa Alf's left hand touched his mouth then descended to his chin, looking at Yuki's unchanging expression or questioning back his stupid question.
Grandpa Alf now knows Yuki is a rare kind of class, an honest girl despite her job as a killer.
"Grandfather Alf?"
Yuki called her softly, somewhat hesitant to see the old man in front of her who seemed to be thinking about something despite the drizzle of rain.
"Yes, you can call me that. I actually wanted to get you into the house"
"No need for Grandpa Alf." Refuse quickly.
"As long as it doesn't interfere with my mission I'll answer your question Grandpa." The slightly late reply to the off-topic question Grandpa Alf just now.
"Grandfather Alf I feel your eyes are just like mine."
"Who can see which eyes? yeah. . I know it-"
"Not. . ." Cut again. "I mean your eyes are the same as mine, and the eyes of that black-haired boy."
Yuki looked at her softly, staring deep into Grandpa Alf's eyes. . .
"That eye is the eye that has seen the abyss of despair."
