"Grandfather Alf, so. . ."
Prince Rainhart's face looked disinclined to ask about the Black Dragon, Fafnir.
At a glance Grandpa Alf saw the change in his attitude, he then looked out his small window that was covered in half the old window coverings. Looking deep into the twilight sky is yellow orange.
"It's getting dark, son Rainhart, save your questions for tomorrow. I know the purpose of the Royal Knights coming all the way from the Capital of Alexandria to this city located on the outskirts of the border. And- . . ."
For a moment the sentence stopped, the old man's gaze fell on one of the trees outside the window. As if ignoring him, he then continued his talk.
. . . I can see the army of knights waiting close to the watchtower at the entrance gate of the forest start to look worried, some people have even entered the forest to look for you son Rainhart."
He smiled seductively again at Prince Rainhart.
"He. .great, this Black Mapple Forest is quite vast and I who just entered it felt like I was in the Giant Labyrinth. This was one of his abilities that could see from the eyes of the nature spirit who forged a contract agreement with him?!"
Rainhart's embarrassment overcame her amazement at Grandpa Alf, she was forced to scratch her non-itchy head. Feeling ashamed of his careless behavior made his subordinates bother to look for him.
"Then I say thank you to Grandpa Alf, thank you for entertaining this guest who came without notice. Your hospitality one day, I will definitely repay you."
Rainhart stood firm. His right fist violently tightened parallel to his heart, then lowered his upper body paying homage to the knight.
"Not be that formal, son of Rainhart. There's not much I've done in this forest alone other than dabbling with these plants and old books in the closet. I'm glad to welcome you, even more so. . ."
Grandpa Alf glanced at Gillian.
". . . Just being alone with this little boy adds stress to my head ahahahaha."
his arrogant laughter made Gillian stand up, rising from her chair.
Gillian was not so upset, she had gotten used to the old man's joke of saying what he wanted to say. He just didn't want to make Liliana worry about waiting for him at home.
"Wait a minute Gillian. . ."
Grandpa Alf cried to him.
"Based on old man rancid, if there is a new wish to call by name."
If he says it then the Great War II will happen, he thought.
The curiosity of meeting Liliana quickly, holding her back from expressing her uncles.
Grandpa Alf's wooden stick, he leaned against the wooden wall right behind his chair, then the bottle containing Mandragora was on the table, he gave it to Gillian who had been standing near the door.
Grandpa Alf then reached into something in the pocket of his robe.
"This feeling. . ."
Gillian tried to remember the sensation in her hand like she had ever felt.
"Is this grandpa?!"
Gillian was curious about the pitch-black crystal stone given by Grandpa Alf.
"Materializing from an extremely strong concentration of mana, forming a Mana Crystal. Red Mana crystals formed from the force of fire are usually found in caves of active volcanic regions. But if this deep black color ?"
Rainhart thought about where Grandpa Alf had gotten it from.
"It's just an ordinary Mana Crystal, pass it directly to the Guild Leader in the city."
He looked at Gillian coldly, not joking.
"Alright - well, if there's no more. . . I go grandfather."
The crystal stone was placed in the pocket of his pants, without waiting for Prince Rainhart who was still silent thinking of something, Gillian then ran away leaving him.
"Hmm?! Ah no. . . Where did Gillian go?"
Rainhart who had just come to her senses from her mind was watching her surroundings. . .
"How do I get out of this forest ? "
He thought he looked panicked.
The wind blew from the forest trees again, but this time it was like running water, gathering around the leaves of the tree above Grandpa Alf's house.
A bright green light then shot out from the dense foliage, surrounded by a whirlwind, then slowly floated down to where the two men stood.
The wind quietly weakened, along with a flash of green light that began to dim.
"hoaaaam~~~"
It appeared that the girl, the size of a man's fist, was yawning from the green light that had disappeared.
