7. The Unusual Reunion Party

Elena asks Kenji to drive because he's taking her to a reunion party.

Kenji has to pick up Wini first while taking Elena. Wini is Elena's best friend. He is a well-known internet fiction writer and works full time at home because he does not have an offline job.

He writes fiction for women and earns a lot of money. Normally, he could earn sixteen million in a month and had once made it to fifty million!

Wini is shocked to find Kenji driving the car when he gets into the car.

"Well, what's up? Why are you so surprised?" ask Elena.

"Elen, did you take Kenji to the party?" Wini asked, surprised.

"Yes, what's wrong? Can't I take my husband to the reunion party?" Elena's confused.

"Of course you can. Lots of classmates

they will bring their friends or girlfriends. But I don't understand why you brought her this time because usually you always call her a disgrace and want her to stay at home"

"I've overcome it, I don't care anymore" Elena replied.

"That's great. Kenji will be a good husband unless he gets a little weak" Wini said.

"Thul? Good for what?" Elena wanted to know what her best friend would say about her husband.

"First of all, he is handsome, strong, and tall. And look at his melancholy eyes, he was like a powerful king despite his gloomy expression." Wini remarked outrageously about Kenji right in front of his person.

He is an internet fiction writer with a lot of fantasies. He often imagined that the people around him were either Emperors who hid his identity well or princes who wanted to pamper their wives.

Kenji broke out in cold sweat upon hearing his words. He did not expect that he would notice who he really was!

However, that was why Kenji was kind to Wini, because he would not demean her like everyone else. Elena discovers that Kenji did indeed get mercy because of Wini's words.

However, he did not want to admit it, "You have a poor judgment towards him. I don't understand why you think he's like a king."

"that's because you didn't realize it before. If I had a handsome husband, I would take him out every day to show off," Wini said.

"Since you like her so much, you'll have her after I divorce her," Elena told him as if she didn't care at all.

"Well, are you getting a divorce?" Wini was surprised.

"I don't intend to divorce him. But he's betting with my family that he's gonna make a big wedding for me. If he can't do it, he'll divorce me. What can I do?" said Elena.

"Oh yeah, I remember. Everyone in town knew it!" Then Wini asked Kenji, "Kenji, are you really going to arrange a grand wedding for Elen?"

"Yes" replied Kenji.

"You claimed to have a wedding that would be much grander than Lina's wedding. Did you book the Phoenix Hotel?" Wini spoke with surprise.

Kenji sweated a lot more. Why did he guess correctly? Elena was also sweating. He couldn't even imagine it. What a creative mind Wini has! That was so unthinkable!

"Do you think a guy like me can book the entire Phoenix Hotel?" Kenji did not answer Wini's question directly but rather asked her.

"Eitherway. I guess not. But what a coincidence! You claim to be giving Elen a wedding party that is a hundred times grander than Lina, and then someone has booked the Phoenix Hotel on the twenty-sixth. The only way to have a wedding more grandiose than Lina's wedding party is to arrange a wedding party at the Phoenix Hotel. So, I suspect you did it" replied Wini.

"Well, Wini, you think too much. Not likely. Just so happened to someone book the Phoenix Hotel." Although Elena wished that Kenji was able to do so, she understood that it was simply impossible.

"Well, that's unimaginable. Nonetheless, if Kenji were to arrange a wedding for you, I would be your bridesmaid since you are my best friend!" Wini.

"It depends if he can have a wedding party" Elena replied.

"No problem. You'll be Elen's bridesmaid on the twenty-sixth" Kenji agreed.

"good. It's settled. I hope you don't disappoint Elen then," Wini said.

The reunion party was held at the Bunga Hotel. It was not a formal reunion party. Only about ten college friends who lived to work in the South Old Town came. They booked a room at the Flower Hotel where they could have dinner and meet each other.

Most of the people had arrived when Elena, Wini, and Kenji got to the room. Since Elena is the prettiest girl in college and also in the South Old Town, her classmates know that she has a husband living in her house.

Although many classmates had never met Kenji before, they knew that he was useless because Elena was so famous. But these classmates are highly educated, so they won't show off like fictional characters or mock Elena and Kenji in front of their faces.

The people in the class who used to have a crush on Elena felt pity because she had married such a poor husband.

Of course, many of the women in the class were rejoicing when they were told that the prettiest girl in college had married someone useless.

However, most of them would not mock. But as usual, someone at the reunion party wanted to show off. It was Sandra. He thought that if he didn't show off at the reunion party, there was no meaning to him coming.

After they introduced themselves, Sandra spoke to Kenji, "So you are the famous one! I've known your name for a long time. And you really deserve all those nicknames!"

Although Sandra said her words politely, everyone knew what she meant. He implies that Kenji is a p ecundang. And Elena had a long face because of Sandra's words.

Sandra is in Elena's shadow in her college life. He would not miss a good opportunity to mock.

Then Sandra started introducing a man sitting next to her, "He's my girlfriend Yami Miller. He has a Charm Club."

Sandra's introduction did not surprise her classmates. They just nodded politely.

The classmates all made achievements in their careers. Some even built their own companies despite not showing off. The club owners are nothing to them. And they all know Sandra doesn't like Elena all the time. So she wanted to show off her boyfriend to blind him.

Elena's husband is not the opposite of Sandra's boyfriend in terms of career. But the family was quite wealthy and had a much greater fortune than a thousand clubs. How could his girlfriend be comparable to the Slash family?

Although the Slash family was not the top family, this family was much more powerful than everyone here. Is Sandra clearly aware of her background? Why is he trying to fool himself?

A reunion party among classmates becomes strange because of Yami. But Sandra was happy to be flattered. And Yami kept glancing at Elena from time to time.

Elena felt uneasy and needle-pierced as she realized that Yami was looking at her horribly.

In Yami's eyes, Elena was much better than Sandra in every aspect including figure, appearance, and temperament. Even Wini who was beside Elena was much better than Sandra.

Kenji knows Yami's bad intentions.

Yami smiled and said, "Just make yourself comfortable and don't be afraid of me. I'm a good man. You can all ask for my help when you need it. You can come and find me here. If you come to the Charm Club, you can have a drink."

Yami knows that one must be polite before showing his intentions. If he wanted to win Elena, he had to behave politely and generously like a real man.

"Mr Miller is a very generous person!"

"When are we gonna come to the Charm Club."

Although they told Yami that they were coming, none of them wanted to go to a place like the Charm Club anymore. Everyone turned to chat with Elena after pounding with Yami.

"Elena, I haven't seen you in a long time. You're so much prettier than before."

"Elena, you've always been the prettiest girl in my eyes."

"I was so upset when I heard you were married."

The men speak sincerely. But Kenji won't be mad about this. He thinks that it is normal for a man to praise his wife because she is an extraordinary woman.

Sandra just caught my attention. Looking at the men enchanted at Elena right now, Samdra felt uneasy.

Then she asked purposefully, "Elena, what is your husband doing now?"

"He has no job now." Elena was embarrassed by the question. She wondered why Sandra asked when she knew the answer.

"Well, is it really about what other people say? Is your husband really a useless gigolo?" Sandra said and giggled.

Seeing Sandra continue to disturb Elena, Wini could not take it anymore. Then said, "Elena could make a living on her own. She's not like other women who only know how to rely on men."

It was Wini who asked Elena to come to the party. When he sees someone disturbing, he has to help fight back.

"Well, who are you talking about? You have to explain it!" Sandra did not expect to say it. He's very angry.

"Well, I'm not talking about you. Why are you so angry?" said Wini indifferently.

Despite knowing that Sandra's boyfriend isn't a good guy, she's sure she doesn't dare to hurt him in public.

Sandra's angry. But he could not slap Wini in the face or fight with her in public. He could only suffer in silence. Ever since Yami met Elena, she no longer cared about Sandra, and after drinking wine, Yami showed her true color.

"Miss Slash is the prettiest woman in the Old South. I have admired you for a long time. It's great that I was able to eat with Miss Slash. Let me toast to you, Miss Slash!" Yami spoke to Elena while holding the wine glass.

Sandra became angry again. Her boyfriend dared to toast Elena in front of him. He lost to Elena when they were in college. But now, even Elena was married, she was still no match for him.

Elena felt uneasy as Yami toasted to her. He doesn't like liquor. But she was afraid that Yami would be embarrassed if she rejected him.

"I'm sorry, I don't drink alcohol." Elena ended up rejecting Yami in a polite manner.

"Miss Slash, can't you give me a little honor? " Yami became a bit angry.

"I'm..." Elena became a little frightened when she saw Yami's angry face.

"Miss Slash, I'm the boss of Club Charm in the underworld and hundreds of men work for me. I think I deserve to drink with you.!" Yami half smiled and threatened Elena.

"My wife said she didn't drink. Do you not understand his words?" Suddenly, Kenji said loudly to Ywmi. He was furious that Yami was threatening Elena to drink.

Everyone remained silent and agape

Elena and Wini looked at Kenji in surprise. They wondered why this useless man had become so brave and arrogant.

"You! You dare to talk to me like this!" Yami gritted her teeth and spoke with anger. Tension immediately filled the room.

Kenji is at odds with Yami.
