13. Defense General Takes Over Command

"Dad, you're my only family in the world, what would others think of me if you weren't present? I wouldn't be happy without your blessing." Keny commented.

"Well then, I'll go" said Zane.

"Looky! Leon, please send someone to pick up my father that day" Kenji ordered.

"Good!" Leon replied.

"Son, go prepare some dishes and let's have a drink today, my mood is very good" Zane said happily.

"All right, I'll be right away." Kenji rushed out.

"Let me do it, Kenji" Leon interrupted. He did not dare to let the Spade Kingdom War God cook.

"You're our guest and I'm not your boss now. Make yourself at home. Just talk to my dad!" Kenji insists.

"Kenji is right General Dark, sit down and let Kenji take care of the rest" urged Zane.

Leon took a seat to chat with Zane.

Three of them enjoyed a dish cooked by Kenji while drinking liquor.

"Mr Green, I toast you." Leon lifts his glass to Zane.

"Kenji, you must lead the Spade Kingdom army to destroy the enemy this time!" Zane said after drinking a few glasses.

"Rest assured, I will definitely defeat the enemy" Kenji assured his father.

"Good, we'll do this one more time if you come home with a full victory!"

"Yes. Please take good care of yourself as long as I'm gone."

"Don't worry, I'm as healthy as a bear!"

Before Kenji leaves, Zane reminds him, "Don't be too proud and lose yourself to success, you have to learn from the past and not repeat it."

"I understand, father." Kenji understood what Zane meant.

"Tomorrow Saturday and I'm free. I will gladly be the bridesmaid of the ercantik wanitat in the Old South City," Nila insisted.

"I'm really flattered" Elena said.

"Don't say that. Let's get our dresses, bring your best friend." Said Nila.

"But we're at work now!" Elena's stunned.

"Forget about work. Tomorrow is the most important day of your life, let's make the right preparations and skip work this afternoon. And the company will pay for those dresses.!" Nila sounded excited.

Elena was astonished, "Miss Slayer, you're too good to me."

Kenji was cooking in the kitchen when Elena came back in a wedding dress.

The headquarters of the Southern Battlefield was not far from the Southern Old City, he could be stationed there and lead the battle in the Western Land remotely. Looks like it's gonna be a long night.

"Good!" Leon replied. Kenji put on clothes right after the conversation ended and he knocked on Elena's bedroom door.

Elena had already fallen asleep and was awakened by that knock.

"Why are you knocking on this clock?" Elena did not dare to open the door, fearing that Kenji intended to hurt her.

"There's something I need to tell you, Elena, please open the door" Kenji said.

Elena thought Kenji wouldn't hurt her, so she stood up and opened the door. "'What's so important that you have to tell me now?" he said it out loud.

"There's an emergency I have to deal with tonight, please wait for me at the family residence, dress up tomorrow, I promise to come to you on time" Kenji said.

"It's late at night. Where the hell are you going? Please don't tell me you can't afford the wedding and want to run away.!" Elena suspects that Kenji cannot keep his promise and wants to escape.

After a long time, the night before their wedding finally arrived. Although Kenji did not want to leave at the moment, he had to put his country first by directing the battle from the southern battlefield headquarters, especially when the situation was as intense as it is now.

After waiting below for a few minutes, Leon and eight of his guards arrived in jeeps.

When Kenji got off, Elena was worried she was going to do something bad tonight. So he came to the window to see what he was going to do.

Then Kennj boards Leon's jeep and quickly disappears in the darkness of the night.
