"Sit the mas" Rio's orders to his son-in-law.
Right now they were sitting opposite, separated by Rio's desk.
Looking at Rio with a huffed face, Kennan's forehead frowned. "What's pi?"
Clenching his lips, Rio was holding his chin on the back of the two hands that he linked. His gaze continued to be directed at the figure of the man who became his daughter-in-law.
"So Danu's dad called, he told me that Frea was dead"
Hearing Rio's words, in a few seconds Kennan gulped his saliva, before then saying "Innalallahi"
"When he was hospitalized, he secretly ran away from there, he ran towards the highway, then a car hit him to be thrown about 25 meters"
Silence, no word from Kennan, it took a few seconds for Kennan to digest Rio's words. "Don't tell Zara just yet, don't let the tv light up"
Kennan simply replied with a nod of his head. "You also don't think too much about this news" he continued. "Bapi saranin, for a while Zara doesn't have to go to the office, let her work from home"
"Yes pi, Ken agreed"
"That's all I'm saying"
"If Ken's excuse me pi"
"Yes my son"
Climbing the stairs, Kennan's steps directed into his room. Things she never expected, Frea died so quickly.
Standing on the balcony of her room, she lit a cigarette to allay her shock at the news of Frea's death. Until he finished two cigarettes, he stepped into the bathroom to clean the body slightly sticky due to sweat.
After taking a shower, and just opening the door, Kennan's eyes were distracted on the flashing phone, he quickly grabbed the phone and shifted the green button.
"Assalamu'alaikum"
"My son is dead" said the voice of the woman behind the phone, "I know it's not your fault" she continued, crying "If you and your wife would help him, maybe he won't be gone this fast"
After saying that, the woman behind the phone disconnected her connection unilaterally, not even giving Kennan a chance to just say condolences.
Inhaling deeply, then throwing it away slowly, Kennan walked towards the closet to pick out the pajamas he was going to wear.
"Mas" called Zara, leaving Kennan shocked. His focus was daydreaming, he did not even hear the sound of the door opening.
"Have a shower?" zara asked as she closed the door to her room, then walked towards the nightstand to put the white water she brought from the kitchen.
"Already" replied Kennan briefly "You take a shower first deck"
"What did papi say?"
"Anu love about work"
"Oohs.. I take a shower first mas"
"Yes"
While waiting for Zara to finish her bath, Kennan laid himself on the bed, folding his hands together with his head.
"Zara must not know" he murmured with eyes focused on the sky of the room "If she finds out, surely she will feel guilty, and it will definitely affect her fetus"
"True papi, he had to work from home for a while, at least until this news was discussed by the businessmen"
His hand that had been used as a pillow, was now lost and then rubbed into his face a little rough.
"Mas, why?" zara asked when she just came out of the bathroom.
Instead of answering, Kennan threw the question back. "Have a shower?"
"Already"
"New nine mas" he said, glancing at the clock on the wall.
"But you have to break the deck"
"But tomorrow Sunday mas, surely tomorrow also sleep at home"
After she finished drying her hair, Zara immediately climbed onto the bed.
"Mas is okay, right?"
"Mas isn't okay deck"
Hearing Kennan's reply, both of Zara's eyebrows swooped sharply
"Why?" Zara sat cross-legged facing Kennan, her hands moving over her thighs using a pillow.
Silently for a moment, Kennan then smiled, and his smile grew wider as Zara with a serious gaze highlighted his neutrality.
A few moments passed, Kennan moved up from his sleep, then leaned his back on the headboard, while looking at Zara who was sitting cross-legged in front of him.
"From Monday, you work from home?" kennan said in as gentle a tone as possible. "Mas wants in your first trimester to focus on your fetus"
"But I would be bored at home"
"There's mommy right"
"Why" asked Zara in full search.
"What's the reason?"
"Why did you suddenly tell me to work from home, you must have talked seriously to me, right?"
Kennan nodded in response to Zara's words.
"But says that you are not too tired of the deck, so work from home first until your gestational age is strong, at least three months dear"
Zara let out a sigh of resignation, and Kennan immediately grabbed both of her hands. "Mas wants the best for you, make baby dedek too, so for this time it's the same mas?"
Clenching her lips, inevitably Zara finally nodded her head, let alone this advice directly given by her papa.
"What's the deck?"
"It's okay, man"
"Don't work from home?"
"Yes, as long as you keep your distance from Widia?"
"Still jealous too?" ask Kennan
"Not knowing either?" sahut Zara won't lose.
"You're still trying to massage the same mas" Kennan's hand stretched out to rub the top of Zara's head.
"Can we sleep now?"
"Is the mother sleepy?"
"Not yet the" replied Kennan as he laid down his body.
The same thing Zara did, she threw herself beside Kennan.
