I am a housewife with one child. Our household is said to be harmonious even though the financial situation goes up and down, I never complain. So is my husband.
In this contract we have lived for 3 years, here is very peaceful. Unlike my previous contract, full of crumpled neighbors, like to take care of my business and others. But here it's very comfortable and quiet.
My contract is KPR type 36 housing, but the owner leases us at a low price, compared to renting a hostel or other rent is obviously cheaper and more convenient here.
Not to mention, the close range of my husband's work makes it unnecessary to travel long distances. Because my husband also works as a building lecturer in this housing complex. Every year several hundred housing units are built and marketed in locations around my contract.
That afternoon at 11:30 my husband came home from work. He went home for lunch and took a nap.
"Daddy, you're not cooking?" My husband opened the frying pan and the pan but there was no food there. Then he opened the refrigerator.
"I'm confused what you want to cook, you just choose in the refrigerator there are vegetables. Which one did you choose?"
I told him to pick a vegetable menu in the fridge. There are kale, purple eggplant and long beans. And for the side dishes, I don't need to be confused because under the freezer there are several pieces of chicken and sea fish that have been seasoned, just stay in the fry.
"Kale just deck," he quickly replied.
"Yes, my mom." I turned my face to my daughter Einy. "Einy, you want fried chicken? mamah fried chicken Upin Ipin want?"
"You mah!" he quickly nodded.
"I also want a deck, fried chicken Upin Ipin!" My husband's.
I cooked kale vegetables my husband asked me and fried some chicken. It didn't take long, the food was served quickly. But my husband fell asleep in front of the television with a fan in front of him.
I don't want to interrupt his nap, I just let him sleep for a moment to unwind his fatigue. So I'll just get rice for my daughter's lunch. He was 3 years old, but I always taught him to be independent. So no need to bother bribing him to eat, he can eat alone without falling apart.
After lunch, Einy picked up a pillow and slept next to her father. It was our daily afternoon routine, relaxing and enjoying the three of us.
Until the afternoon, we had a new neighbor right next to my contract. He is an elderly couple. His age is 60 years.
I hear, they still smell family with me. I don't know where the genealogy came from I don't understand. All I know is, I should call her 'Mba' because my parents respect her too.
But the girl he doesn't look like he's 60. He is more suitable to be 40 years old. With her skin white, her hair bleacing then in polish with a blonde color. And again, he cut his bangs short, making his forehead so closed. I felt inferior about my own appearance while chatting with her.
"He Mbah, especially on my left side is still empty, so no noise and peace." My heart to her.
"Mbah can not lift heavy goods, let the husband mbah aja who sorted. The hands hurt again." Her speech showed her swollen wrist.
"Why can it swell like this Mbah?" ask me.
"No idea, too, suddenly swollen. Keep fraying. Heals on his own, I'll kill you again." He said sitting next to the house.
I followed her sitting opposite to her. We talked for a while, until I heard a noise in my kitchen. My husband must have gotten up and been looking for food.
"That's why, let's talk later. Einy's father seems to be up, I want to prepare the food first."
"Yes, talk again." He smiled with a friendly smile. His soft tone of speech made anyone fascinated with his style of speech.
I left Mbah watching her husband carry things into the house. Their goods are not much, there are only 1 small cupboard, 1 mattress, 2 small tables and television and cooking equipment. I don't think he needs my husband's help.
I checked into the kitchen and I saw my husband was almost done with his lunch.
"Si Mbah so move?" ask my husband.
"Yes, you want to help us transport her things?"
"What stuff? is it a lot of stuff?"
"No, just a little. One pick up is not full."
"I'm still lemes, don't I help you?"
"As far as you are, the goods are also only a little."
After lunch, my husband returned to work. He greeted Mbah and Mbah replied with a smile and hospitality.
I took a pillow in the room and slept next to Einy. I turned off the television that was on. I can't sleep if there's a television in front of me. In contrast to my husband, he used to watch television until he fell asleep. Although the sound of the television was so loud, it did not make him feel disturbed.
